Hi! We have a residential home on .5 acres near downtown Middlebury. We have a simple campsite on a deck located on the hillside of our backyard forest which overlooks a private and isolated ravine with heavy tree coverage. Although located in town with wifi, the campsite really feels like your own remote getaway. Featuring a 2 person tent, hot shower, fire pit, and electrical cooler with cold drinking water this is the perfect stop for a comfortable nights sleep!

Our sustainable camper from Kingdom Camping is parked beside our home in a residential neighborhood. With trees for privacy and a fire pit for evening campfires. The camper features a full XL memory foam bed, shower, toilet, kitchen with fridge/freezer, and 3 burner cooktop and oven. There is a dinette that also converts into another sleeping space. With solar on the roof and lithium batteries this camper functions off grid even the A/c! Our deck within the trees is situated on the lower hillside of our residential property which is located in a subdivision and has a steep hillside into a ravine filled with large mature trees. There is a steep stairway that leads down to the deck which has an outdoor shower, firepit, chairs, and electric cooler along with lights! Enjoy the sounds of the forest and enjoy the feeling of a remote forest getaway yet right in downtown!

First, the good stuff: this place was SO COOL. Jamin has taken what would look to most people like a totally inaccessible ravine and turned it into a gorgeous campsite that’s in the treetops even though you actually go down to enter it. The tent itself is cozy for 2 but waterproof (we were grateful to stay totally dry during overnight rain) and came with a comfy camping mattress and two pillows. A cooler of water was a nice touch and light strings made it welcoming and the path clear. And the shower is a really creative addition - who puts a shower on a little wooden platform over a ravine? Jamin was also really great to communicate with. My main concern is just safety. The platform needs a railing since one side of it drops off at least 8 or 10 feet. And the stairway is carefully built but really really steep, with loose earth all around and under it. If you book, be aware that it’s an adventure getting down there. That said, we had no problem and thought it was totally fun and worth it, a very memorable experience. I’d just hate for someone to get hurt.

Cozy, private, unique!

Treehouse Campsite

Super awesome spot tucked away in Middlebury IN! Host was very communicative and hospitable. He offered us extra blankets and a tarp due to the weather. We very much enjoyed our one night camping out on this cute and unique deck. The tent is water proof and cozy for 2! Outdoor Hot shower in the morning was epic. Thanks for a great experience!
