We recently had the pleasure of staying at Lucky Dawg Park in Rigby, Idaho, and it was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how peaceful and welcoming the property felt.
A huge shoutout to our host, Nathan, who was absolutely fantastic. He was incredibly welcoming, attentive without being intrusive. His friendly demeanor and genuine hospitality really made us feel at home.
One of the highlights for us was the soothing sound of the water flowing through the nearby canal. It provided the perfect background ambiance for relaxing outdoors, whether we were sipping coffee in the morning or winding down in the evening. It added a special touch of serenity that we both truly appreciated.
The property itself felt like a little private oasis. We had so much room to spread out and enjoy ourselves without ever feeling cramped or crowded. Our dogs especially loved having the space to roam and explore, and it made our time there even more enjoyable knowing they were just as happy as we were.
All in all, Lucky Dawg Park exceeded our expectations.

Nice, easy, and clean. Stopped here for the night on our road trip out west. Lovely little stream with chairs, a fire pit, and swinging ropes nearby. Nice cheap and convenient

Nathan's place is absolutely beautiful. We are a big rig 76 feet long and there was room for 3 or 4 of us (if we wanted). We parked beside raging (irrigation canal) water straight from the snake river and under the shade of row of huge trees. He has a picnic table, gas grill, and 8 adirondack chairs circling a ringed fire pit. He had a huge stack of wood available as well. Country setting quiet, peaceful, and refreshing. Nathan was also a very friendly and gracious host. This hipcamp rates a full 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟 stars. If you get a chance GO THERE.

Excellent site and host. We had great communication throughout our trip, with Nathan. Really wonderful host. The site was beautiful, right on a canal. We loved eating dinner at the picnic table by the water. Nice and flat with plenty of room to walk our dogs. Definitely would recommend, and would camp here again. Thank you for a great stay.

I really enjoyed my visit to Nathan’s place. He was very responsive and checked in to be sure I had everything I needed. I had a quiet and restful night along the canal. Very easy to get to and a great stop on my way to Bozeman. I’ll definitely stop by again when I’m in the area. Thanks!

Nathan’s property was the perfect spot to stop on our extended road trip. We just drove right in and when Nathan got home, he checked on us right away and was very attentive. We camped right by the canal and had a great night sleep. Thank you, Nathan!

Nathan and his camp spot are amazing! He came over shortly after we arrived to introduce himself and answer any questions. He was very gracious and hospitable! The river was beautiful and the area very well maintained! There was a rope swing to jump into the river and although we didn’t go swimming our dog sure did!!! Highly recommend Nathan’s land if you’re looking for an overnight spot or a couple of days respite! Campfire was allowed with wood provided. He also supplied doggie poop bags and shovel for the fire pit!!!!

We had a wonderful nights stay at Nathan’s Hipcamp! We were able to set up right next to the canal, which is water from the Snake River! Enjoyed using the fire ring, especially since it was unseasonably cold!
The campsites are clean and level.
More importantly, Nathan texted several times to make sure that we were OK and did we need anything!
We definitely camp there again when we are back in the area!

Best Hipcamp experience! We loved staying here!! Wish we could have stayed more than 4 nights. Land was easy to access and we had the perfect spot! It was fantastic to put out chairs and stare at the running water, there was shade there as well. I will always stay here when in the area!

We were the first hipcampers of the season and Nathan had the site prepped and ready for our arrival. Picnic table and fire ring next to the canal was a great touch. Plenty of room to maneuver our large class A. Nathan had great communication prior to arrival and also came over to see if we needed anything after we got there. Great host!

Just what we wanted - no surprises

The sound of the water flowing through the canal was an added bonus to a great stay. Easy access and maneuvering, even for our 43’ fifth wheel. A fairly level lot, we had no issues positioning our rig. About 4 miles off of Rte 20 made it both convenient and QUIET. Friendly host provided what we expected, was available if needed, then let us be to ourselves with our (well-behaved) border collie (off-leash). Would absolutely stay here again.

We had an amazing stay here. You can park right next to the running water and listen to it all night long. The site was perfect for us as we were passing through town. The host is super friendly and we can’t thank him enough. Highly recommend trying it out.

We stayed on Nathan’s property for a short overnight while trying to make some big mileage with our travel trailer. The grassy lot is huge and easy to maneuver and we didn’t unhook from our trailer. We decided to back in per recommended directions for a nice view of the irrigation canal but could just as easily be called a nice tree lined river. We backed in and were pleased to find the ground perfectly level. Enjoyed a quiet evening and got off with a quick and early start the next morning.

We needed a place to camp and rest with our RV trailer during a multi-day drive. We were happy to find Nathan’s listing in Rigby! The property is a large grassy lot with lots of trees, next to an irrigation canal. It’s level and the surface is firm, even after a rain. It was easy to maneuver and back in our 22’ trailer, but with so much space, it would also work great for large rigs. We appreciated the quiet location; the sound of the water in the canal was nice, like being near a river. Nathan stopped by to introduce himself and check to see if we needed anything; he is a super nice host! He is new to HipCamp and is eager to hear ideas for his property. We are self - contained, and didn’t need electricity or a bathroom, so this was the perfect overnight stop. Thanks so much, Nathan!
