Raven's Nest
A better time could not have been had! Everything was perfect. The gentle rain allowed time for reflection and restorative rest. We laughed, loved, and connected on a deeper level. Four generations and friends gathered and made lifelong memories. We can't wait for our next visit.

Flying Squirrel Treehouse
Flying squirrel was occupied by girls ranging in age from 14 to just shy of 18. They loved their days there. I could hear the late night laughing and joyful tones of their voices. Having the small fire pit so they could make s'more was brilliant. They loved exploring the camp and leaving their fairy houses for others to enjoy. They are planning their 18th birthday celebration there. Thank you for providing such a beautiful location to strengthen the bonds of family and friends.

This was our second stay at the Wee Place in the Woods. Such a unique experience! I would 100% recommend staying here. The welcoming aura is all around! Chatting with Charlon was intriguing and she wants you to have the best experience here. The open air tree houses are enchanting! We will be back to visit again!

It was a beautiful place with amenities within a short walk. The actual sleeping area was magical, next to pine trees and a babbling brook! I slept so well! We enjoyed the nice kitty who spent the night with us. Will definitely be back and recommend to friends!

We loved our stay at Flying Squirrel Treehouse. This was a truly unique HipCamp experience - sleeping outside but undercover, with very comfortable beds. The Flying Squirrel Treehouse was an amazing space and having our own bedside firepit was amazing. A Wee Place in the Woods is a magical location. The kitchen facility is very well appointed and our daughter loved the craft area. Charlon was a great host and made us feel welcome and encouraged us to make the space our own. Highly recommend and would most definitely stay here again, should we take another trip to Sandpoint.

We had the best time reconnecting as a family at this magical campground. The hostess was so kind to our family & the other guests were very friendly. Everything about a Wee Place is so intentional & energetic. The photos don’t do this campground justice, you have to experience it to truly grasp the essence of this place. We stayed in July & underestimated how cool it can get at night but it just gave us a chance to cozy up next to each other. My significant other & I are already looking at our calendars to see when we can come again without the kids. Absolutely stunning campground, you will not be disappointed staying here.

Loved: creativity of outdoor spaces, well-supplied kitchen, cozy beds, private AND communal areas, games, trails, labyrinth, kitties, forests. But more than anything, one feels a deep hospitality from the hosts. This is by far my favorite HipCamp I’ve ever stayed at.

Flying Squirrel Treehouse
Always a magical stay! The perfect mix of amenities and open air camping. Everything has been considered and packing gets to be minimal because of it. This land has such soul, and the whimsical flowers and decor tell a story about the people on the land. The labyrinth is my favorite spot to take a moment to myself, and the host couldn't be more generous. If you are considering it, you won't be disappointed Book it! We've come back 4 times for good reason. It's perfect every time.

The beds were comfortable and the camp is well stocked. The gorgeous view from the open air tent along with the gently breeze and the sound of the creek below was like so soothing. I wish I could've stayed longer! Bonus points for the sweet cats that live there.

It was an amazing experience to sleep in the woods with the sounds of nature. It was a very relaxing trip for just two of us. We stayed at the Owl's Nest, a perfect place for a couple. Everything about this place was great. We will be back for sure.

Flying Squirrel Treehouse
I searched for weeks to find a unique and different experience to start our annual trip from Calgary, AB 😅We arrived late and I will say Charlon, a breath of fresh air! She made us feel right at home and gave us all the space in the world ;) wish we had more time with her. The Guier+Cooley family, wow what a beautiful place to unwind and be one with nature. My children, my husband and family all loved this down to earth experience. We hope to come back every year! This year we stayed in a flying squirrel! Totally perfect! It sprinkled one evening and sounded like a crazy down pour was going to happen. We felt safe and protected enough. Oh I have so many visions of all the potential of the other camps. (Wish I had my own treeehouse to come back to every year!) We absolutely adored the crafting corner, seriously such a wonderful addition. We all enjoyed making little treasures to leave behind and to take with us and put in Our own fairy garden at home. We are city people there were 7 of us and it was the perfect place to unwind, disconnect and be with the family, really be with the family. I hope this legacy Lynn has created is forevermore a tradition in mine and so many other families! Oh and the outdoor shower in the afternoon was ahhhhh-mazing! The kids enjoyed a poop in the bathroom, what views! We will be back and we’ve already given the link to a few people! :) lots of love and peace. You will see us again! Thank you Charlon for being so wonderful! See you next year! 💜

The Healing of a Treehouse.
Owl's Nest Treehouse
First off, I’m not proud to admit but I rarely leave reviews on places, but in this case I couldn’t live with myself if I didn’t! My girlfriend and I decided we needed a necessary last minute retreat into nature without the hassle of packing everything to get the camping experience. Her and I were on the ropes of our relationship with a major decision to make how to continue forward. We got very lucky that “A Wee Place in the Woods” had the Owl’s Nest available. Charlon was beyond gracious with navigation, things to do, and really brought positive energy to this gorgeous experience. We loved that they had so many places to have a fire, we spent easily over an hour at the star gazing area, which was our favorite part. The kitchen was fun to cook in and had everything we needed. The sound of the small creek flowing right below us was amazing to fall asleep to. I can’t wait to bring my daughter to this, she won’t believe it! Will be back for sure! Thank you Charlon and the creator of “A Wee Place in the Woods”.

Raven's Nest
A Wee Place is truly a magical spot filled with love and intention! My mom and I stayed for two nights in the Raven’s Nest and had a wonderful time. We had the place to ourselves and loved spending time together in the outdoor living room, around the fire, and cooking together in the kitchen. Charlon is such a sweetie, and we loved meeting her. We will definitely stay again when we’re in the area :-)

There are not enough words to adequately describe how amazing this place truly is! My 14 year old daughter described it as “living in a fairy tale”…my 12 year old son said “it like I’m totally free and peaceful here”…my 7 year old daughter didn’t wanna come home with us! In my own words I will say this. The place is magical. However, it’s not really a consumer place. Don’t go here expecting to consume/ be served…that more of a hotel thing. Instead, this place is where you go to connect, with people, with the space, with the land, with your family, and with yourself. It’s quiet and peaceful but also communal and creative. The host is fantastic! And the sweet and friendly cats are great too. It’s for sure going to be a family tradition for us!
