SCAM ALERT!!!!
My partner and I reserved a booking with Heart Spring Farm, as it appeared to be a lovely accommodation. Upon arrival, the host informed us that he had completely forgotten about our booking, and had booked a drum camp with 50 children, where we were supposed to be camping. He also told us we would not be allowed to use the kitchen that was advertised, because the drum camp would be taking it over, and that we would have to share a single bathroom with 50 children, during COVID!! We of course decided to leave, and informed him that we would be requesting a refund, which he agreed to.

Beautiful place and people
The property is beautiful and we felt extremely welcome. Lee is really kind and gave us a lot of suggestions for attractions to visit on our stay. We would’ve stayed long had our travel plans allowed. 100% recommended.

Peaceful escape in lush jungle!
Heart Spring Farm is a beautiful property and wonderful retreat in the lush jungle, and also, so close to the town of Pahoa! The hostel is exceptionally clean with many thoughtful details for travelers and guests such as spacious lockers, a well-stocked kitchen, plenty of outlets, and extra towels. I absolutely loved relaxing and reading in the hammocks on the lanai and my favorite part was walking around the property to see all the animals and fruit trees! Lee provided perfect directions and the hostel was east to find! There is so much to see close to this area including the Pohoiki, the new black sand beach that is part of Isaac Hale Beach Park as well as the town of Pahoa with cute shops and wonderful restaurant! Make sure to stop by the Tin Shack Bakery for coffee and incredible food. :)
