Such a wonderful and awe inspiring property. My family and I are just so grateful that the owners have offered to share their land through HipCamp. There is space to spread-out, well suited amenities, endless activities, peace and quiet -- all the things!! We treaded lightly and left no trace -- in full hope of being able & invited to book again!!!

Mill house was awesome ! Enjoyed learning the history of the property. Was super clean, comfortable and had EVERYTHING awe need for our stay ! Tracie and Todd more than accommodating! Great Jeep trails ! Will definitely be going back

Stone Mill - Rent the entire place
What an amazing property; the camping sites, the amenities, the trails, and let me tell you about the Property Managers! They went out of the way to help us get settled in and went above and beyond with smiles on their faces. They are a beautiful couple who obviously take pride in what they do, love the team work!
No one can control Mother Nature and her mood swings but our Jeep Family made the best of it and we’ll be back. See y’all in 2023!

Really needed some quiet peaceful time over the Fourth of July and found it at Stone Mill Hipcamp. Oh my goodness! After all the Anxiety that our GPS wouldn’t work correctly(use common sense campers! Just choose the route using the instructions given)
It would’ve worked great for us but we second-guessed everything and our lovely host had to come and direct us to our campsite! Regardless we had a really relaxing time we were the only campers there after one day did a little kayaking on their small lake. Way too hot to hike but we loved going to the town of Elliejay and meeting the townsfolk!

Loved the place! We got to go a bunch of short hikes with the kids and spent the day by the lake kayaking. There are blackberries all over the place, kids loved snacking on them. Todd and Tracy where super nice and came down to see how we were doing a few times.
We had a bit of a challenge getting to the RV dump station as an unoccupied travel trailer was in the parking space at the dump station all weekend. This forced me to pull up on the wrong side of the dump station so I needed 2 long hoses, going slightly up hill, to dump. Was a pain.
We may consider going again, more an issue of distance for us, but we really liked it overall.

The absolute beauty of the place! There’s so much to do and explore, we couldn’t do it all in just one weekend. It was very private and peaceful. The host was super friendly and helpful. We definitely want to come back and explore some more!

There was plenty of room to go explore and trails to ride. The kids were able to swim and fish in the pond. We caught minnows and crawfish in the creek. The owners came down to say hi and check on us. We were the only ones out there and it was great. The sunsets were amazing. It was really nice to get a hot shower at the end of a long day of adventures. Stone mill will definitely be at the top of the list when we go back next year.

That campsite was great, had the place all to ourselves. The bathrooms were clean and it was nice having a shower. The pond had life vests, kayaks, and a little beach…..The kids loved it.

Stone Mill checked all the boxes we were looking for a peaceful and picturesque place to camp, and it was not too far of a drive from home for a quick getaway. This was our first time booking here and it won't be the last. The booking process was smooth and the owners were responsive, kind, and gave clear driving directions. The property is fun to explore and it is beautifully surounded by hills, a peaceful creek, and plenty of room to set up camp. The goal of this trip was relaxation, so we enjoyed walking our dog, cooking some good camp food, and reading by the fire while listening to the creek and crickets. A full moon and the nice weather really made it a great weekend. Only 3 camper sites were booked and those with dogs all mangaged them well. Next time we'll plan to also enjoy the small lake area. The bathroom facilities are clean, with hot water for showers, and plenty of t.p. and cleaning supplies. The campsites are shaded in the afternoon and well maintained with gravel and fire rings. The country road into the property is gravel, but wasn't an issue for us driving a Santa Fe and pulling a 14' trailer. Water and electric hookups were great, but next time we'll bring a longer hose to position it better in the shade. We had site 6 (Sloth) and loved it.

Stone Mill is the perfect place if enjoy camping and mild off-roading (Jeep/4wd vehicles only, No ATV). Several options for different campsites, full RV hook ups to primitive and private sites. This is a beautiful piece of property in North GA. There are a few off-trails the range from
Easy to Mild, terrain is a mix of scenic dirt roads, water crossings, abs steep/rocky hill climbs. Perfect place to relax!

The land is beautiful and the camping is the best. We loved it all and look forward to going back. The tent camping sites are fantastic and the Rv sites are good and limited to just a few which makes it much more private than state parks. The hosts were also great and always helpful.

This place was 10/10! I have been hiking and camping all over the country and this by far was the most relaxing paradise hands down! Highly recommend the lakeside camp, the views were awesome and the people were amazing!

We came here for a surprise weekend getaway for my husband’s birthday. The camping sites were nice and big, we chose one with hookups. We spent time at the lake fishing and reading a book. My husband’s favorite part was driving our Jeep on the trails. A big thanks to Todd & Tracie for be our guide out on the trails. We had a blast!

We had a big group this weekend camping and all had a BLAST! They have a great set up with electric and water hookups and close by to the bathroom. Was very quiet, peaceful and private. We enjoyed hiking, and kayaks around the lake. The owners and management team were so friendly and made sure we had a great stay. They were great at communicating and recommending the best sites for our group. They even provided propane to use their grill on-site which was very nice. We will be back!

This was a nice place to camp! The kids loved exploring the property, and learning how it used to be a zoo. The owners were nice and checked on everyone to ensure we were all enjoying our stay. There’s Fun areas to explore in the creeks and a lake that’s great for swimming and fishing . They have a shower with hot water available and a flushing toilet, as well as really clean porta potties around the property. It’s nice , quiet, and fun to explore

Very quite and peaceful property. You can hear the creek from the campsites. Great hiking trails! Cell service is spotty so just make sure you let your family and friends know that before you go offline!

My husband and I are avid tent campers and are always looking for new and exciting camping spots.
From the time we requested our stay at Stone Mountain until the morning we left everything and everyone was just wonderful. The directions and communication we received prior to arrival were spot on and we found the location and our spot with ease. The grounds were very cool to explore, it was like stepping back in time) and our host were so kind. Our only negative was how long it took us to get there and back (driving through Atlanta is always a nightmare) but that has not dampened our desire to return.

We had a nice time camping at Stone Mill. The weather was warm in the day and cool at night. Plenty of trails to walk with the dogs. Nice and relaxing at your site. The camp hosts had good information about the property's history. Definitely need to stay more then 2 nights. The campground is at the end of a country dirt road. It is an easy drive on the road. Follow the hosts directions to get there. You may need an extension for your water hose hookup.

Our stay at Stone Mill was peaceful, relaxing and exactly what we needed! We stayed at the Overwatch tent site and settled in to the sounds of the creek waters lulling us to sleep! Tracie and Todd went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Will definitely be back when it warms up a bit and the trees fill in!
