Located along the Georgia Pinhoti Trail and the Southeast BDR, our property offers direct access to a wide variety of terrain. CAR/Van Designated Campsites 1 and 2 (with electricity) These sites are intended for folks who will be sleeping IN/ON the vehicle. (Car, Van, Truck, RTT, etc.) Car/Van Camping - with electricity involves being assigned to 1 of 2 designated parking spaces located between Group Camp 2 and Bear’s Lair cabin. FOOTPRINT- Each site is gravel, and measure 23’ deep by 13’ wide with room for an additional vehicle like a rooftop tent. The sites are close to level, but one or two leveler blocks can come in handy. ELECTRICITY- Each site has a power pole with a 30amp RV connection and a standard 20 amp plug. There is NO Water or Sewer hookups, but access to water onsite and nearby restrooms/showers. CAMPFIRE- The two sites share a common campfire circle, picnic table, and chairs. This site is a long narrow gravel lot, ideal for vehicles, but tent camping is welcome. Tent campers will be more comfy using a thick foam ground mat. The space is very flexible, you could fit: - An RV of up to 25' in length, along with a couple tents, and a car. OR - 2-3 Vans, Cars, or RTTs OR - A collection of smaller tents, hammocks, and a couple vehicles. This site DOES have electric hook up: 30amp AND standard This site does NOT have water, or sewer hook up. (Alternatively you may choose to camp/park in either of our other general parking areas generally used by day guests, and Brook Campsite guests.) - Car/Van Camping does NOT include a dedicated firepit or picnic table, but there is a shared firepit available near the van spaces. and these spaces are not generally large enough to set up outside furniture or an awning. - These spaces are quite small, so there will generally not be room to set up awnings, pop ups, or a large outside-the-vehicle presence. Sleeps: 2–6 guests This site can accommodate up to two (4-person) tents, one hammock, or select car camping setups. This site has standard electricity. Bring an extension cord of at least 50 feet. Note: Barn Camp 1 and Barn Camp 2 are connected by a short trail and can be booked together as one larger site — great for groups of 4–12 people. Location and Vibe Located right at the base of The Barn stairs. This means: • Higher potential for light and noise • SUPER close to The Barn lounge, guest kitchenette, and activities • Very close to the mid-station bathhouse • Potentially first in line for meals 🙂 The site has a short, steep driveway with a half telephone-pole erosion barrier at the base. Low-clearance or 2WD vehicles may struggle. If you are not camping in your vehicle, you can park at the base of the driveway or on the other side of the building. If you plan to camp in your vehicle (RTT, van, etc.), higher clearance and AWD/4WD is strongly recommended. Parking at the site may depend on your vehicle, but parking is always available within ~30 yards. BARN CAMPSITE 2 Sleeps 2-6 guests and comes with a fire circle and chairs, picnic table, and plenty of tent space! This site can accommodate up to 2 (4-person) tents, 1 hammock, or select car camping set ups. Note: Barn Camp 1 and Barn Camp 2 have a small interconnecting trail and are an excellent set of sites that can be booked together as one large site if you have anywhere from 4 to 12 folks! This site does have standard electric which has an additional fee of $5/night. Bring an extension cord of around 75-100 feet. Based on your vehicle, parking may not be possible at the site, but within 30 yards. This site is located very near to The Barn - there can be higher noise and light here, but you are SUPER close to the TV lounge, guest kitchenette, and the fun. This site is also VERY close to the smaller mid-station bathhouse. And you can be first in line for meals! :) You CAN NOT drive your vehicle back onto the area most often used for tent camping. There is a dedicated driveway leading to the campsite that is certainly available for a vehicle, RTT, small van, etc. It is narrow and would require levelers. This site is best enjoyed by folks tent and hammock camping, with your vehicle adjacent to the site. Incredible location, amenities and staff. Kate and the staff made us feel welcome and at home and helped us move to a different camp lot the night of our arrival. We would love to come back again some time!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay over the weekend, attending the nearby Ellijay Apple Festival. The host was extremely pleasant and the site was wonderful! Great wooded canopy with fire pit, Adirondack Chairs, and picnic table. Other campers seemed to be really enjoying their sites as well. Would definitely recommend Mulberry Gap to anyone wishing to Car Camp, Tent/Hammock Camp, or rent one of their many cabins. We will be sure to use this site again on our next mountain adventure!

This campground is beautifully maintained. Everything is clean/ well kept. The staff is so welcoming and kind. I was solo camping with my tiny dog and was made to feel right at home. The lunch to go was delicious, highly recommend.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Mulberry. We were only there for stop and go since we had plans in Ellijay but we are stoked to come back. The campsite is great with nice bathrooms with hot showers. The staff for us was the highlight. SUPER friendly and hard working folks. And if you’re going to stay here take advantage of the meals. The dining hall is so cool. Make sure you’re on time though! The staff wears a lot of hats and they are hard working.

Outstanding base camp in beautiful Georgia mountains! My primitive tent location was very relaxing and well designed, near a brook. Everything was thoughtfully provided to guests such as bathrooms, showers, potable water, gift shop, coffee and meals, etc. All employees were wonderful and helpful! I’ll return again!!

They have such a nice setup! Tori, at check-in, is awesome! It was just my dog and I and I felt safe the entire time. Well kept camping area with a great retail store and clean bathrooms! Definitely recommend!

As a group meeting place or a family get together, this "base camp" offers some nice amenities for groups interested in hiking, biking, or just camping way away from everything. My midweek CAR/VAN camping stay was very quiet with only cabin occupied. However, I imagine during events, races, etc., the place might get pretty busy! The Barn is a quite nice, rustic, large hall for dining and socializing, with a large deck and plenty of seating nooks and conversation pits. It's like what Starbucks used to feel like when their storefronts were comfortable, but with a KOA feel! The bathhouses are clean and tidy, if a bit small, with multiple showers in each. The 2 hot tubs are small, 2-3 person units quite close to a number of the small cabins, so they are better suited to relaxation and recovery than romance! Communication from the owner was great. The info and datasheets covered every contingency for me, and had tons of info beyond that. Well done! And a chat message question was answered within minutes by a live person. 5 stars. Most the campsites are close to each other, sometimes sharing fire pits and picnic tables. The CAR/VAN sites are all quite close and small, so don't expect to extend a big awning or lay out your 20x25' outdoor carpet at these. A nice surprise was the mountain biking training area plus a nice trail on-site. Sadly, I saw no koi in the Koi Pond! Finally, the drive in ends with about 1.5 miles of well maintained gravel road.

Mulberry is the perfect weekend getaway. Our campsite was right next to the brook with only a short walking distance to the hot tub. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Loved this little slice of heaven. It has so many extras for people looking to enjoy a nice weekend away. My only complaint is it is not friendly for handicapped people or people with mobility issues. The bathrooms are not located near the tent sites and one was actually located on a hill. This made it very difficult to get to a restroom when I needed one.

Not bikers but everything was great. Clear communication and signage from the start. Beautiful well kept sites, we did brook 4 and couldn't ask for a better spot. Someone even left some kindling by the fire for us! Main bathhouse was very clean and well kept as well.

Would I recommend it? I did already before I even left. This is a sweet set-up in the mountains! If you’re an outdoor enthusiast, especially a mountain biker, you want to stay at this place. Super responsive people that are easy to work with!

We had a good stay. The employees are very nice and it's a pretty piece of property. It could be a little bit more affordable for people not looking to do biking activities. Additionally, the hot tub water levels were low and you couldn't run the jets when 1-2 people were in. We were also unaware that there were two Bridges that needed to be crossed for brook camp one. We knew we had to cross the creek, but I was under the impression it was just one bridge. It made it a little harder to get gear over.

The spot was great and our puppy loved it. Slept amazingly even though the grounds were filled with folks. The food was fantastic and the one night in the cabin was so cozy. The people working there are the best. So friendly and helpful. They saved our hides when rain was coming. So wonderful!

Everyone on site was fantastic and extremely nice and helpful. The whole place was very clean. Our site was great and was able to fit a Jeep and Landcruiser with RTTs just fine. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Highly recommend.

Staff onsite were super nice. This was truly a designated car camping spot and exactly what we were looking for. The campsite was beautiful and the communal Barn that served family style hot meals on weekends was such a cool concept! Highly recommend!
