Very Nice Spot

Catherine was very accommodating. The water, electricity and outdoor shower worked well. Our spot was flat. The dogs barked when we got there but were quiet throughout our stay. The noise from the road could get loud but did not bother us at all with our airconditioner on. 30 minute drive to Savannah

Charming Stay with November Quirks

I recently stayed at Cathy’s Corner in early November and thought I’d share a few tips for future guests. During this time of year, acorns were constantly falling onto the tin roof of the property (Anne, the host, mentioned that there's an unusually high number of acorns this year.) and onto the truck parked behind the house. I parked my van near the house, and not too many acorns hit my van, but when they did, it was loud enough to wake me—and even shake the cats awake. If you’d like to avoid the noise, try parking a little further from the house. Another thing to note is the proximity to GA highway 17. It’s more active than I anticipated, with cars passing by at all hours, and it apparently gets even busier during the week as commuters head to and from work. Anne, the host, is incredibly warm and has some friendly pups who may bark when they first see you. She also offered some fantastic recommendations—Springfield, had a lovely cafe, Paddles Coffee, for a morning out, and Rincon is close for errands. For Vanlifers, the property is equipped with 30 AMP plug-ins, but you may need an adapter if you use 15 AMP (I picked one up at Harbor Freight, and it worked perfectly). I was grateful for the amenities, the peaceful mornings, and Anne’s helpful hospitality! Thank you, Anne!

Cat's place worked great for me. I wanted a place to camp for the night and leave my trailer while I explored Savannah the next morning. It was an easy 30 minute drive so that was perfect. Easy in and out and they were very friendly

Good location near Savannah

Good location if you want to explore Savannah. The host is very nice and friendly. The road is sometimes busy so it can be a bit noisy, but it didn’t bother us. You can dump your tanks at a Camping World after your stay.

Fine Wayside Stop

We were just passing thru on our way to FL so Catherine’s land was just what we needed: a safe parking spot with water and electric. Had we stayed longer it would be nice to have had a picnic table. Ann was very nice to meet so all good.

Convenient and close to Savannah without being in the crowds. Catherine was very responsive and helpful. We felt like we were in our own backyard. Privacy, electric and water. Great place to stay when scouting out the area.

This was a great spot with hookups (no sewage). It's not far from Savannah, about 30 minutes. The host was very attentive and checked in on us often. The spot is close to the road so there was some noise and the property has several dogs. Just a few things to keep in mind.

We enjoyed out stay. Such a cute spot and for us, convenient to Savannah and nearby towns. Guyton's town square just a few miles away: Pizza, Mexican, Soul Food and ice cream shop. Close to Butterducks Winery. A pleasant weekend!

I loved this spot! Such a beautiful space and couldn’t get enough of the giant oaks. I arrived later than anticipated but they were super accommodating, and Ann came out in the morning to greet me and give me a better parking tip to avoid the road noise. Was a nice little breather on my trip.

I love love this quiet spot

Best pit stop ever! We were supposed to arrive in the afternoon but one thing after another all day and we arrived almost 8:30 and she was there waiting for us with cookies and candies. Best warm welcoming ever!

Cathy was a very welcoming host and we appreciated her friendliness…unfortunately her property is a corner lot at a very busy intersection with a great deal of traffic including large logging trucks….too noisy for a relaxing stay and sleep…also it seems like every 3 rd car and truck needs a new muffler in that town! All outside of the hosts control. On a plus noté there is a church across the street with a very large green space that is perfect for a dog walk! Thank you Cathy

Lida's Lair

The spot was easy to find and very pretty under those big trees. Catherine was very accommodating and greeted us in the morning since we arrived pretty late at night. As others have commented the property is right on a main road with a lot of truck traffic. It was fine during the night but quite noisy early in the morning. Some kind of toilet would be nice in the future but it was clearly stated that there is none, so it's fine. Would stay there again!
