This was a little paradise on earth. Melissa and Chris welcomed us with an open hart. It's a small campground (we were the only guests) with the feeling like we were in the jungle, Wow! They have a dock above the water where we could hang out and have dinner. The 2nd day it was Melissa's birthday. They had friends over and we were welcome to join them and some of the excellent bites they've made. What a wonderful place to stay.

What a beautiful piece of property to camp on - and a straight shot to the beach! Large, open area great for positioning the camper how we wanted. Though, there were some lower hanging powerlines that may give taller RVs some issue. Felt private and secluded, but within walking distance to a Publix, an amazing bakery (Friedas), and a few restaurants. Not a very touristy area, as the community is a golf club and resort. But perfect for getting away from all the people! We loved our stay and how accommodating the host was! Lent us her bikes and provided us with a few things we forgot at home. Would definitely stay again.

Really nice place, quiet, lots of trees and good tenting ground.. friendly, helpful hosts. close to beaches, grocery… an ideal spot and we loved it.

Very cool place. We chose this location because we have two dogs that are a little crazy. This location was nice and private. The property was very shaded and although there were homes around it you felt secluded. Beach was less than a mile away. Parking at beach was never a problem and the beach was awesome.
Melissa was very responsive to texts and Chris who lives on the property helped me back the camper in and was super nice. There was a cabin on the property that we used for showers and a bathroom.
If we ever visit this area of Florida again we will book with Melissa again.

Very welcoming host. We were travelling from Montreal, Quebec. We enjoyed a lot the place near the lagoon and not far from the beach. We went bike riding all the family together.

Camping spot near water
Melissa has an absolutely beautiful property and was very kind and helpful. Whether you get to stay near the water, or if you get a spot near the endearing cabin among the trees, I'm sure you will have a peaceful and relaxing stay. There were plenty of trees to hang a hammock and have shade from the sun in our tent. The beach was pretty close and a walk to get coffee in the morning was an option. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again.

Camping spot near water
Lovely host! A bit high priced. I didn't stay long enough to see very much, I would have liked to watch a manatee float by the water front but alas I was just passing through. Melissa was very sweet and I was able to access the small cabin to take a nice hot shower. She was also gracious to offer a suggestion for a place to eat within walking distance (!). The property is really pretty and at a dead end so not too much cars going by and the community seemed closeknit and I felt safe. That said, since I was camping I was kinda right there by the road, its not exactly private from the neighbors, at least where I camped which was by the cabin. Traffic sound from the main road they are off of really carries. Maybe the trees needed to fill in more, it was early March. I thought the price was a little high for what was on offer to be honest but it felt like a safe place for a solo traveler like me. There is a $3 toll bridge to get to this community and they dont take e-passes.

Lovely shaded spot with water views. We loved the water pressure in the shower-place was very clean, level, private. Really close to the beach and within walking distance of mini mart and grocery. Melissa was responsive to our communication and resolved issues quickly and satisfactorily. We would stay here again. Thanks!

Probably the nicest spot we have stayed at on Hipcamp. The ICW, live oaks, and proximity to the beaches made this a great experience. Also the hosts and even the neighbors went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

My husband andi I and our pups so enjoyed our stay at Melissa's. We appreciate her sharing her space with us. She and her family were amazing...so welcoming, kind, and made sure we had everything we needed for our peaceful and private camping space. It is conveniently located in the cuetest close-knit neighborhood full of friendly folks in The Hammocks with great restaurants and many ammentues close by. We reode our bikes whereever we wanted to go and the Beach is super close and not crowded at all. We will definitely be back to Melissa's place again next season!!

Melissa and family were friendly and helpful. Water view was serene. Pretty quite except for a few boats coming through. None at night. Best part of this property was access to a rustic cabin with shower, toilet, and kitchen. This made all the difference for us! I would bring in some firewood in cold weather.

I don’t want to write a great review because it’s such a hidden gem! Melissa the host is super nice, location right on the intracoastal and directly across from the beach a bike ride away. I had electric (110v) and water at my site. Nice tree cover, easy access to a Publix across the street and a couple local restaurants. This is Old Florida, Hammock style!!
