Kenny's campsite offers a peaceful and spacious retreat, perfect for families and pet lovers alike. Guests appreciate the serene atmosphere by the pond, the presence of wildlife, and the convenience of amenities like full hook-ups. The host, Kenny, is noted for his warm hospitality and responsiveness, ensuring visitors feel welcomed and well-informed. While the occasional low water levels are mentioned, the overall experience remains positive, with guests eager to return.
Very peaceful. Loved the neighboring moo cows and the resident pups. Our granddaughter played a bit in the water (it was chilly) and we took a short pedal in the lake with our pup. It will most definitely be on our "revisit list" for places we have camped.
An absolutely wonderful place!
We truly enjoyed our stay here. The property is beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by nature, with such a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. We felt at home from the very beginning.
The hosts are incredibly warm, friendly and helpful. These are exactly the kind of places and encounters that make a long journey so special. Our dogs felt very comfortable here too.
For us, it was much more than just a place to stay. A place we will remember very fondly and can wholeheartedly recommend. Thank you so much for the wonderful time!
So quiet and peaceful. We had to be in Jacksonville for multiple meetings and needed to extend our stay twice. Easy booking, fast feedback and privacy. Host was available but not intrusive, he responded quickly when we needed anything. Area was clean, paddleboat available to float around the pond. Conveniently located close enough to town with that out of town feel. We will stay again if we come back to the area.
Kenny’s Vineyard Lake was perfect for our needs! We live in south Florida, and looking for an overnight close to the hwy just to get out of Florida. It was easy to find and access. Everything was as stated and worked perfectly. It is a big flat field so if you need practice backing! This is an opportunity with nothing in your way😉. We hope to stay again in the future.
We enjoyed our weekend stay. We had the site to ourselves and it was very peaceful. The water levels on the pond were very low (by what looks like at least 6 feet) but there was still quite a bit of water. The water lilies were in bloom. I caught a few small bass but surprisingly few panfish (I think they are being out-competed by the bass which are stocked). We saw quite a few birds and there was a pair of geese in the pond with their goslings and a muscovy duck which thought it was part of the family.
The utilities were great and very convenient. The site (#2) was quite flat and on typical Florida sand. Site #1 looked pretty rough though and I'm glad we opted for #2. It rained pretty hard one evening but it drained very well.
One note: the owner has dogs which stay on their side of a line of cones and asks that you do not take your dogs over the line (which is entirely reasonable and easily respected; there is a lot of room). However, you cannot leave the property on a dog walk without crossing the line. We loaded our dogs into the truck and went to a nearby trail head for walking.
My family had such a great time camping here! The kids enjoyed riding on the jon boat and pedal boat, jumping off the dock and swinging on the tree swing. A fun added bonus was seeing the cows and horses just over the fence.
We had a great stay. This hipcamp feels like it’s deep in the middle of the country, but was only 20-30 minutes outside of Jacksonville. Kenny was sure to greet us and make sure we didn’t need anything. The kids loved playing in the lake, paddling around and fishing. There is a cow pasture on the other side of the field, and there were two adorable baby cows that the kids could watch through the fence. Kenny’s dogs were super sweet and loved the kids, but you’ll want to keep your own dogs away from them (which he asked us to do upon arrival) and site 1 backs up right to the dog’s border. Site two has more of a buffer between the campsite and this area.
Great communication and extremely friendly! It’s a quiet little spot tucked in on a dead end road and the stars were so pretty!! Loved all the ducks, cows, and wildlife. Thank you!!
Great stay! Camped right beside a peaceful pond. Lots of ducks and geese to watch, lots of space for my little one to run around. Had a swing beside the pond that we spent so much time on.
The site was spacious, well cared for and easy to find. Kenny was an excellent communicator and I was happy to be able to refill my freshwater tank after a mishap. I set up near a large tree which offered cooling shade. Easy entry and egress via a keypad to open the gate.
We took advantage of having water and electric hookups during our visit and know there were other spots for Boonedocking. We parked right beside the pond and enjoyed some time fly fishing. The campsite was quiet and the grounds provided plenty of room for our boxer to walk. We recommend checking Kenny’s Hipcamp out. You won’t regret it.
I did not want to leave. I stayed for 4 days with my dogs and it was the most relaxed we’ve been on a cross country trip. There were cows to watch, resident geese, ducks and lots of other birds around to observe. The pond was perfect for the kayak and my dogs to swim whenever they wanted. Full hook ups were easy to use. Host was excellent with communication and was happy we were happy. 100 percent would stay again.
We have family in JAX and spent 11 nights at Kenny's property. We were super stoked to discover it and will be coming back on subsequent trips! The site is large, quiet, and convenient. Kenny was gracious and let us take our grandkids fishing (catch and release) on his private pond. We made some great memories with our two older FL grandkids catching bluegill and bass. Full hookups were a plus! Be sure to bring a 50-amp adapter plug. Amazing stay!
It's very peaceful, there was only 1 other rv there the whole time. There was a bonfire on Thanksgiving, I wanted to go, but I didn't get an invite and didn't want to intrude uninvited, as there were other people and I wanted to respect their space and time with family on the holiday. Also the temperature had finally dropped from shorts on the beach to holiday weather, and my heater was acting weird. And I was freezing. That fire was beautiful though, I was quite tempted. The lake is calm and relaxing. All in all a good spot to rv
Although the place was wonderful with curious geese and a peaceful pond it made up for the lack of people capable of picking up after their dogs...so luckily we had a large mat and spread it out to keep from stepping in piles of month old dried dog poop.
Otherwise hook up was a breeze, the sewer could use some weed whacking for easy spotting but never heard a word from the owners dogs which kept their distance upon arrival, Kenny was responsive and let us enjoy 1 out of 2 days alone on the property while he went and camped himself. I should hopefully return as the view was a change of pace.
