Privacy and country comforts, yet 3 miles from the I-75 exit. Grocery and restaurants nearby as well. There is a stable and 2 cross-fenced paddocks for grazing. An RV site with 30A power and water hookup, but no restroom available fo the RV site. A one room cabin with a queen bed is available with a separate full bathroom. Come visit our friendly donkey (Henry) and Scottish Highland cow (Wallace). You will hear roosters, braying and some mooing early in the morning. The Withlacoochee Trail is a mile east at the end of the road. This is a biking, hiking and equestrian trail. Florida Classic Park is roughly 2 miles north on Lockhart. The Croom Recreational Area is also 3 miles away. If you are traveling with farm animals, we do have (2) 2-acre cross-fenced paddocks available for an additional fee. We also have a stable available, but that does have a concrete floor with mats. Please reach out to us directly in this regard.

Fairly level RV site that will fit up to a 50' camper (depending upon your rig). This site has full view of our donkey and cow. This has potable water and a 20A and 30A breaker. The 50A is there and works, but amperage is unknown. This is a pull-through site. If you have a horse, we do have (2) 2-acre cross-fenced paddocks available for an additional fee. We also have a stable available, but that does have a concrete floor with mats. The Withlacoochee Trail is about a mile down at the end of the road. This is a bike, hike and equestrian trail that is paved, mostly shaded with grassy areas along each side. Your camper does need to be self-contained. This does not have a bathroom available.

We enjoyed our time here! It was quiet, and peaceful . The hosts were very helpful and friendly, and provided us with eggs. Loved visiting the animals and chickens!

Cozy Studio Cabin in the Woods
The cabin on Michael’s property was absolutely adorable. My daughter and her husband stayed in the cabin and our granddaughters stayed with us in our travel trailer on the property. We loved visiting with Henry their very entertaining donkey and hanging out with the chickens. It is definitely a peaceful place to stay!!!

Booked Michael’s place very last minute, and we were so glad we did! It was a nice quiet place to rest for the night. The host was very kind and responded quickly to any questions and was very accommodating when we ran late due to traffic. We loved waking up this morning and watching the chickens while drinking our coffee. If ever in the area again I would definitely stay here again!

Michael’s place is one of our favorite Hipcamps… a gracious family sharing their beautiful, peaceful, homestead in the country with critters to visit and a sweet little flock of chickens milling about. Highly recommended! :-)

A Hidden Gem

This was my first week in my new camper and I kept it close to home to be safe. Mike welcomed my later-than-anticipated arrival with a smile and showed me where the site was. Over the course of the next week we interacted many times and even had puppy play dates with their amazing pups and mine. There are chickens and donkeys and a massive, massive fenced play area that my dog absolutely loved to roam. I kept this trip close to home to work out the bugs in my trailer, but Mike and his family made it feel like I was close to family of my own. Had anything gone terribly wrong, I have no doubt they would've offered to help. Truly amazing group of human beings.

This was our first HipCamp and it didn’t disappoint. There’s water and electric but no bathroom so you have to have one. No sewer dump either but that wasn’t a problem. The owners are very nice too. The site was perfect for us as it had a 2 acre fenced in area for our dogs to run! This was a great experience for us and we will likely be back. There are free roaming chickens and a donkey and a cow. The neighbors have 2 donkeys too. It’s a cute little farm not far from Dade City. The owner recommended a brew house there and the dogs are allowed inside. The beers were good and the steak sandwich was delicious. Get the horseradish mayo! Thank you again to the owners of this Hipcamp as it was very inviting and perfect for us!

Cozy Studio Cabin in the Woods
I enjoyed my stay immensely. I travel fairly frequently for dog sport events and this is probably my favorite place that I’ve stayed. Absolutely beautiful, quiet, comfortable and homey. My dogs enjoyed the space and the hiking trail. Wonderful accommodations and extremely cute!!

This place is a gem! One of my favorite Hipcamps EVER!!! The rv site is perfect for rest and relaxation. Absolutely loved staying here and look forward to staying again!!!

Host and his son were very understanding of my last minute booking and we're very flexible with my arrival time. This RV spot has electric and water, please bring your own bathroom situation though. Spot was easy to find and pull thru! The dog area is 2 acres fenced in with balls and bags included. Host also informed me this area was a SniffSpot and could be rented in time blocks for other travelers/locals fur babies -what a fun idea! I was told about the tortoise but wasn't lucky enough to see any myself. This spot isn't great for solar, though the shade provided by the many trees was very nice and made for the perfect temperature when I visited early December. There was a hiccup with my dogs being too loud one day where I left them in their kennels, however Michael (the son) was very understanding and polite to contact me directly and for the rest of the stay my dogs were under control so there was no (I think) ill rapport. Would definitely recommend this spot if you find yourself in the area last minute or just want a quiet place to getaway from the city.

Very comfortable setting. Feels like the middle of nowhere, but a grocery store, gas station, and access to I75 is right around the corner! We also loved the MASSIVE fenced in dog play area. Great host! Definitely one of the best spots on hip camp so far! Will absolutely stay again if I'm in the area!
