Richard is a great host! Humble guy with pure love of nature and freedom. Spot has great potential, great for a quick escape or stop. It’s simple, nothing fancy, but quiet. Great at night to view the stars. Recommended for animal lovers.

Overall richard was great at responding and providing information. The problem we had was that the space we rented did not reflect the pictures on the app. The canal was grown up on the sides, trash was in the canal, and there didn't seem to be much aside from stagnant water there. We could not find the plugin for a 110 anywhere and when looking for it there seemed to be sewage on the ground around the washer area. We were there late at night as a last minute thing to try and camp but didn't feel comfortable and left to find a hotel. The people living in a cargo trailer next to our spot were friendly but we didn't notice anyone else there and there were no lights to find our way around the campsite. The camper on the right had trash everywhere around it. Upon looking for the 110 plug we found a disturbing head of a doll or a manaquin on the top of a beware and stay out sign. Just a little creepy. The doll head was full of holes as well. Anyway, we left early and did not stay the night. pulled out of there abour 45 min after arriving and just not liking the vibe we felt.
I will say there is an RV hookup right by where he said it would be so that was accurate but we didn't need that plug.

I had a beautiful shady spot to camp with lots of soothing nature sounds, and I enjoyed hanging with the dogs and seeing all the animals on the property. I hung my hammock in the shade and spent many hours resting there listening to the birds and palm trees. There was some dog poop around, but it was easily avoidable. Richard was very easy to communicate with. Be cautious on the sand driving in and out if you have a low clearance vehicle as there are some bumps, but they can be avoided if taken intentionally.

Swamp Cabbage Camp
We loved having our RV trailer at Richard's land, Swamp Cabbage camp. Richard communicated everything we needed to know and responded quickly to any questions we had. Having access to a bathroom and washer was super helpful. Our dogs loved hanging out with Richard's well behaved dogs and we especially loved the 2 puppies. There were other campers around and everyone was so quiet and friendly. The site was very quiet and close to shopping and some parks, and a bit of a drive to the beach. This was a great thing as Red tide was around, so it helped to be farther away from the water. We would definitely come back next time we are in Naples to visit family!

We loved staying at Richard's place in Naples and it fit everything we needed. It was quiet and away from things while also being near enough to stores and beaches. Having access to a bathroom on site and laundry was helpful. And we loved all Richard's dogs and their playfulness, our dogs enjoyed them too. His dogs are friendly and well trained. We also enjoyed chatting with the host and others on the site. We would definitely come back next time we are in town!

Communication with Richard was very good as to directions and instructions for our arrival.
The place was rather nice as we parked our van along the canal and it was very quiet.
However, there were 3 or 4 American staffies, which didn't reassure us as we are not dog people - we certainly wouldn't have chosen that place had we known. There was also dog poo pretty much all over, which annoyed us... both in terms of smell and sight!
And to top it up one of the dogs stole one of my husband's flip flops so we had to go and buy a new pair when we left the place after the second night, which was a bit of a waste of time ;-)
Apart from that the people who live on the pitch are adorable, John behind who offered us his hose as we didn't know how and where to hook up our van. The other person, a lady who lives in a little RV by the canal was lovely too, we had a nice chat and she reassured us about the dogs.
But seriously, it's better when guests are informed of the presence of dogs or other pets prior to booking! That's what I disliked about the place!

Richard was a great host. We parked our trailer next to the water and had access to electric power. He offered use of kayaks for use on the canal and was very accommodating to any of our needs while there. Being as I am not a dog fan, I had to get used to the 6 dogs(Pitbull), who were friendly. I did enjoy the visiting chickens. We had a great 4 day stay.

We stayed in our 21’ travel trailer with electric & water hook ups on the canal. Anytime we had any issues, Richard was quick to fix and address it! Richard and everyone else staying on property are incredibly kind! We loved waking up to the canal every morning. Wildlife would visit and the sweetest farm dogs free roam. Inyoni Organic Farm is on the same road and sells the best veg and fruit! It’s was probably a 5 minute walk out of our RV door. Staying off of Immokalee was super nice with plenty of stores/restaurants near by. We would absolutely recommend Richards property to anyone looking for a quiet and laid back stay in a convenient location.

I’m mixed on this stay. The grounds are dark and not well marked at night, and I made the mistake of arriving after dark. The host was sick the evening of my arrival and where I was to park was unclear—I never identified any “spot” where I was to park as it seemed pretty full come daytime. When I was trying to turn around to figure out where I could park, I got stuck in a pit of unmarked fine sand that wasn’t visible in the dark, and this is where I ended up staying the night. Richard was *really* nice to help dig and tow me out with the help of a friend, but my bumper ended up sustaining damage and it was of course stressful. Aside from that, the grounds were a bit less idyllic than most of the pictures convey and I heard doors shutting all night long. If you need a place to park and have 4wd or arrive during the day, it should be fine. Hopefully lights and a marker for sand and other hazards will be added.

Swamp Camp is exactly what it is, Richard is very open and has a delightful 'pack' of dogs, who are all very friendly, albeit Richards struggles with control!
The site is convenient for the spawl of Naples and has an eclectic group of campers. It is a work in progress which moved forward during the 2 days of our stay, Richard offers water but it is from a shallow well and was bright yellow when we connected, again Richard has it in hand!

Super gracious host! Our tire blew out and he hooked us up with a local tire guy. Shout out to House of Flats!! Loved how it was back from the road. Felt like real camping. I drive a 40' Bus/Rv and we made it in without issues. Would recommend to anyone.

Overall, the experience was tolerable. But it wasn't great. I wasn't expecting much for the price, but I certainly wasn't expecting shattered glass all over the ground and a view of run down, sad animal pens. People were coming and going the whole time, which is fine for us but may not be great for other people looking to camp. Little to no privacy. Lots of dog poop and debris. When I contacted Richard upon arrival, he let me know he was sick. We had to figure out where everything was ourselves. We met him the following morning, and he did seem nice. I guess my main concern was the glass on the ground of our site.

Reasons for mixed feelings….
Narrow one lane dirt road coming in & out with over hanging branches. Sharp 90 degree turn, could be very difficult with large RV’s. Having a large 44ft rv it can be difficult maneuvering to set up rig.
The host is very friendly & accommodating. Very sweet dogs & chickens on the property.
The grass was mowed & we had 30 amp & water hook ups. Very quiet at night. Good stop for our 1 night.
