Malakai’s Campground is truly a hidden gem! The property is peaceful, secure, and beautifully maintained. Joe, the host, is a wonderful man—kind, hospitable, and always willing to lend a hand. You can tell he genuinely cares about making sure every guest has a great experience. I’m a local and ended up staying here two weekends in a row while my house was being used for Airbnb guests. Normally, I’d travel elsewhere, but this time I wanted to stay close to home—and I’m so glad I did. From now on, this will be my go-to spot whenever I want to unwind and enjoy something different from the usual beach life. Highly recommend this campground for a relaxing, memorable stay—and my two pups 🐶🐶 give it their full approval too!

As described a nice mix of technology and nature. The space is secure, simple and comfortable. The is plenty of running water. Property keepers are on site and friendly. They look out for your comfort and will turn on the AC, or locate other items for you as needed.

Amazing Host, Site is as advertised. A/C Camping suite is well suited for those who want all the experience, with a break from the setup. Just bring preffered bedding and cooking, amenities and the like. Water provided on site at each site along with Electrical. Keep electrical demands and cooling expectations real as its intended to be an offset in the high heat and meets 'a glamping standard' in medium and low heat; bring your own air circulator to help the A.C. out and you'll be in hog heaven. No sweat!

Well provided for by the host, Site is exactly as advertised! Works even in the hot. Keep your expectations real. Host is friendly and communicative and will help you meet your needs, even late.

Joe’s land is beautiful and gorgeous, but the real gem here is Joe! Joe is the sweetest, kindest human and I highly recommend his space. The land feels so special and it’s obvious that it is well-loved. The tent is spacious and just what is needed for a little relax and recharge. The A/C works great. Thank you for sharing your space with us!

If you're looking for a place that's well maintained with with a natural nature feel. It has great views, Joseph is WONDERFUL and will be happy to help you with whatever you need. Loved that we had washer and dryer. The trail is absolutely gorgeous, especially at night. There are so many butterflies. Although me and my partner would have liked a little more space from the other tent campers, I feel if we communicated it better then we would have had a little more space. Thanks for being so accommodating Joe. You have a beautiful place. We will be back.

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at Malakai campground. Joe was very accommodating and helpful if we needed something. I flew from Iowa with my two teenage daughters and came unprepared in terms of sleeping arrangement. There are two wooden L-shaped bunkbeds, but no mattresses. Joe had a spare twin mattress he lent us for my daughters to share. I slept in my car rather than buying an air mattress. Everything else was great. Appreciated the shower house and the laundry on site. Would definitely go back.

One of the best places that we've stayed hip camping so far. Joseph had thought of everything it seemed like it was even improving as we were there by putting some padding down on the bunk bed he constructed. This is one of those hosts that's taking it serious and it shows! Our favorite feature was the trail he had made on the property and it was very beautiful there. I would come back here.

Another great stay!

This was my second stay at the glamping site and I will absolutely be back! I travel alone and staying at this campground is a breath of fresh air, I feel safe and welcome and the site is tidy and there is a lot of exploring I still need to do!

Very peaceful Site, shower had hot water which was nice. About 30 minutes from the beaches which isn’t bad. Host was very helpful with everything. Has a pretty trail with lights. Can’t wait to come back, 10/10 would recommend

Caught out in the rain with a flat

Me and my dog are doing a bike packing trip across Florida and was going to stay but ended up getting a flat on the bicycle and caught in a severe storm and Joseph offered to come pick us up and I just had too much stuff to ask for someone to put it in their vehicle and everything was all wet so I don't know about the spot but I know the host is awesome maybe next time I'll get to see the spot

What a fantastic place!! Drive down the road, enter thru gate, and you’ve entered a place of peace, serenity, quiet, and if you are on a healing journey, do not pass this hipcamp up. Joseph is a great guy, very personable and friendly,, the kind of friend you havnt seen for a long time. It was exactly where i needed to be. His property has a great mix of sun, shade,, and lighted paths through the trees. So good for the soul. I highly recommend it. Definitely one to go back to. Thanks Joseph for having this unique place of healing and tranquility 😎😎.

Epic camping experience.

Amazing memories made at this gem of a spot. We enjoyed our stay. The weather was just right during the day and the evenings were just right for sitting around the fire. The white sandy beaches of Florida (Pensacola & Navarre) were in close proximity. Getting to know our host Joseph was a highlight for us. We had a camping spot in the woods on top of the pine needles and among 130 year old pine trees. Anyone looking for a space outside of

Rustic Camping with a Hands-On Host

Joe’s campsite was very unique! You can tell he’s put a lot of time and effort into creating a special place. He was very involved in making sure we had what we needed. The campsite itself was good, though the facilities were pretty rustic. The shower had a lot of wear and tear, and the water had a strong metallic smell, so keep that in mind if that’s important to you. It’s definitely more of a back-to-basics experience, but for a campsite, it worked fine. Overall, you get what you pay for, and Joe’s hospitality is clear. If you’re looking for a simple, no-frills camping spot with a hands-on host, this could be a good fit!
