The private site was great! We really appreciated all of April’s recommendations about kayaking. She even suggested a modified trip on day two after the weather had turned cold. We will definitely be returning to this site.

The location of this site is really nice and private, and we appreciated the added amenities that were provided, like the porta potty, picnic table, and grill. The host was also helpful with local recommendations.

Nice, private location. Easy access, conveniently located to nearby towns. The camping site was level and was a circle drive making set up and departure a snap!
April was thoughtful and considerate while also respecting our privacy. The amenities were minimal but well presented. The porta Jon was clean and neat. Good place to stay if visiting the area and want a simple, hassle free experience!

Great big open spot to chill not far from the nearby springs! Way better then camping in a campground if you want privacy and quiet. April was communicative and we even took her up on the kayak rental and drop-off to have an easy day floating/swimming on the river.

Private, quiet. Have 30 amp and 50 amp outlet for RV. Toilet is clean. Very close to Ichetucknee springs south entrance. Highly recommended.

April’s campsite was absolutely incredible! From the start, she was super communicative and helpful, making everything easy and stress-free. The campsite itself is completely private, no stacked RVs or crowded spaces. Just peace, quiet, and nature.
One of the best parts? The location! It’s super close to Ichetucknee Springs, and April even offers a shuttle service. If you’re in an RV and don’t want to deal with driving or parking near the springs, this is a game changer. She took us right to the springs, which made our kayaking and tubing adventures so simple and fun.
We had an amazing time and can’t recommend this spot enough. April is a fantastic host, and the area is absolutely stunning. We’ll definitely be back!

It was convent for what we needed. Very close to the springs & far enough back from the road. The host came out to greet us and she is super friendly and accommodating! Would recommend if you wanted to stay nearby the springs. We had two dogs with us and they barked a bit at the dogs next door but overall a great night!

April’s campsite was great - I have no complaints! Beautiful, clean, and so convenient - places like Ichetucknee springs, grocery stores, and gas stations were just 10 minutes away. She is very kind as well and very hospitable. It was a little tricky to put the steaks in the ground for tents as there were quite a few rocks but that didn’t pose too much of a problem. With cool clean water, a clean toilet, a very nice fire ring, a clean picnic table, and decent WiFi, it was a great campsite! I would definitely recommend this for anyone interested, families, friends, or solo campers. It seemed like a very safe area as well and all the locals were very kind and helpful.

The perfect spot for a beginner or experienced camper! Beautiful property, great nature noises throughout the day! Firewood is available if you aren't scared to get in the woods. The camp host is a lovely & kind lady!!! WATCH for ticks! My only warning! This spot is 15 mins from everything you need! 2 seconds from south ichetucknee entrance and 5 seconds from north entrance. Just an absolutely lovely camp spot! Don't forget to pick up!

My husband and I camped on Aprils property this past weekend. She was such an awesome host and we will be booking again real soon. She gave us great advice on where to paddle board and even shuttled us. The last night we were there her kid and friend brought us fresh baked cookies (score). I forgot to put my eggs back in the cooler from the first night and she said no problem and brought us fresh laid eggs from her chickens.

We had a wonderful experience at this campground! Our site was spacious and easily accommodated our 30ft 5th wheel with plenty of room to spare. The host was fantastic—super friendly, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The peaceful atmosphere made for a relaxing stay, and we truly appreciated how quiet it was. We’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great camping experience!

This has been my best Hipcamp experience thus far. I cannot stress how wonderful of a location this is. We were so incredibly close to Ichetucknee Springs and Ginnie is not too far either. April was such an attentive host who proactively communicated with me and always made sure we were comfortable. I am already tempted to book another stay here. It's a great place whether it's just you or several folks. You will not regret booking here!

Had a wonderful experience in a private campsite in fort White w/ kayaking on the Santa Fe River nearby. Host supplied kayaking services & even brought us fresh eggs in the morning! Plenty of wood for campfires👍

Cleanest toilet ever, site was spotless. Very nice host - even shared her fire wood with us cause it got down to the 30s that night. Had some of the best stargazing of my life as well, outlets all worked and felt very private. Everything you could possibly want in a site and more

Had the best time tent camping here for my son’s 1st time out. April was extremely helpful and accommodating. The spot was nice and private. But my son was relieved to have some people within earshot, making him a lot less nervous! The site was pretty big, plenty of space to throw a ball around and goof off and still would’ve been able to fit a few more tents if needed.
Overall it was a great time, we hope to visit April’s again.

April was more than amazing for us during our camping trip. She took us on a private tour through the river, and places you wouldn’t get to see normally, the camp site was 10/10 plenty of space and privacy, we already can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful treed space with power, water, and a tidy portopotty. Beautiful trees, lots of birds and bird songs and a cool breeze at night. Fire ring for evening campfire. Level places for the tent. Picnic table under the trees. Great place.

Tent camping at Free to Be was great! It was easy to find, had all the essentials (water, electricity, porta-potty), tick & mosquito free, and April was very kind and helpful! Will be coming back with friends and family in the future - the space is perfect for a group of people as there is plenty of space.

April's spot is very quiet with electric, water and a clean bathroom. It was a great place to overnite after spending the day on the Santa Fe River with April as our awesome guide. We had a wonderful paddle trip and a very peaceful sleep.

The location is great if you want to explore the springs. No problems with the Rv hookup. My main complaint is the whole area being severely infested with ticks. I can’t exaggerate how bad they were for me and my dog. Kind of ruined my trip.
