Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Enjoy views from 7400', bugling Elk, mule deer, beautiful sunrises and sunsets across the valley and mountain ridges on our property, Uteopia. Meant for off-the grid, self-contained RV's/tent pad with a great location for solar. 4-Wheel drive is highly recommended as we are on a serviced dirt road. Our circle drive is gravel with the option for one RV and one tent pad. If you are traveling in a group of two RV's, please message me to discuss options. Potable water refill station & dumping station within 15 minutes to site. Points of interest: 30 minutes to downtown Pagosa Springs - renowned for its natural hot springs - right off of hwy 160. 1 hour to Wolf Creek Pass Ski Area, 1 hour to Durango La Plata Airport. We are surrounded by gorgeous hiking trails, waterfalls, along with great hunting and fishing. Many choices for restaurants/bars, groceries and retail shopping within 20-30 minutes.Right off of main road, you will see why named it Uteopia. The views are incredible. Entering onto the circle driveway - the main camping spot is at the bottom, but you may park wherever you are comfortable, as long as your vehicle stays on the gravel. This camping spot is able to accomodate up to a 30' RV, travel trailer or tent. Sunrises within San Juan Mountain Range are breath taking, perfect place to enjoy that first cup of coffee or tea - also a great spot for morning yoga or mediation! Listen for early morning Elk bugling. Southwest facing - take in the most gorgeous sunsets and a spectacular view of the valley below. Tranquility at its best! Guests will enjoy 1.5 acres to themselves to enjoy watching/hearing nature, catching beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Please no parties or loud gatherings - thank you! This is a serene space - with other properties around, who also live/visit here to enjoy serenity - please be considerate of this - we appreciate it and so will others seeking beauty, peace and solitude. Uteopia is completely Off-Grid, great for solar. No running water, sewer or power source. PLEASE camp in - camp (your trash etc) out. Thank you! **IMPORTANT** Campfires are permitted - when allowed by Archuleta Co. and no bans are in affect. Fires are permitted in designated fire ring only - however, there is protcol to follow with the county - calling in campfires. Once your booking is complete, I will go over that proceedure with you. **You must have a source to extinguish open flames quickly - (gallons of water, fire extinguisher)** We are in southwestern Colorado and there are often fire restrictions in our area. PLEASE adhere to these rules, if you have any questions about this, please message us. Preservation and respect of our beautiful property and the ones surrounding it, are paramount :) There are two locations for inexpensive, pay-use potable water closeby. Two available dumpstations are within 15 minutes of the property. As a note, all roads are easy access dirt/gravel, 4 wheel drive is highly recommended when wet. There are two switchbacks leading up into our property - it is well maintained and easy to manuever. We truly hope you enjoy your stay on our property in BEAUTIFUL Colorado!!

Our host was very accommodating and responded quickly! The site was private and beautiful, also priced very fairly. The campground was easy to get to, would totally recommend!
