Words cannot describe it. This has been a family retreat for our family for decades, and we want to share it with you.

A sloped, gravel driveway off Lime Creek Rd leads up through the trees to many acres of heavily forested hillside with pines and aspens all around. Secluded wildflower meadows greet you once you've crossed the 1st stream. Once you are settled in, there is so much to see (before you even leave the property); hiking, meadows, waterfalls, mushrooms, wildlife, fishing, etc. Come enjoy this wonderful place. Keep in mind we are early in our process of developing the property for campers, so only some of the amenities are available in certain spots. Let us know which hookups you need and which ones you would like. We can usually accommodate. Campers towing with larger setups may need to be in the lower meadow. It has flowing drinking water, but no pressure. And the electricity will be closer to a regular 15 amp plug. Works better for more off grid setups. But it's cool enough in shady areas that AC is usually not required. The driveway used to be a bit steep and rough, so if you were towing, we either recommended having 4 wheel drive or the tow vehicle being relatively oversized for the camper. Currently we have made vast improvements and most vehicles can make the climb.

Waterfall Cliff Site in Forest

Come camp in our secluded property! This spot is away from everyone else across the stream. Couple ways in. Through our driveway: A mildly steep, gravel driveway off Lime Creek Rd leads up through the trees. Past the house and then along a narrow side by side trail. You can also come in off the Highway down a bit of a steep area. But leads you right to the most spectacular camping spot. Both are adventuresome, but we can find a way in that works for you. There are many acres of forest and meadows with pines and aspens all around. Clearings and nooks abound. Once you are settled in, there is so much to see (before you even leave the property); hiking, meadows, waterfalls, mushrooms, wildlife, fishing, etc. Come enjoy this wonderful place. Keep in mind we are early in our process of developing the property for campers, so only some of the amenities are available in certain spots. And this site is particularly remote. The driveway used to be a bit steep and rough, so if you were towing, we either recommended having 4 wheel drive or the tow vehicle being relatively oversized for the camper. Blake was an excellent and generous host! The campsite was beautiful and our group had a great time together in the meadow! It was so fun exploring the property. This campsite had awesome amenities nearby including a super clean bathroom and shower.

Dianne and Blake were good friendly hosts! They made sure to get us a level spot, next to an electric hookup. The land surrounding the campsite was beautiful to explore! We only got to one waterfall this time, but we will see them all next time.:)

Solid Last Minute Locale

We tent camped at this location, selecting it only at the last minute. Blake was very communicative about what to expect and how to navigate there successfully. The trek to the bathrooms was notable, but we knew that going in. There is only one bathroom (shower and toilet) to be shared with the sites on this property. So, some planning is required for a lengthier bathroom visit.

I loved Blake’s place! 10/10 host. My partner and I were completely unprepared for the weather and he was able to help accommodate us! Beautiful campsite with a bathroom and shower provided near by!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Blake’s place! It was remote and positively beautiful. And Blake was super accommodating. It just wasn’t quite what we were expecting, but that’s not a bad thing. But it might be for others… We had a great experience with our 19 foot hybrid camper and it was very private…Which is what we typically are looking for. But having a drop cord to the camper and Mountain springwater pumped into the camper was not what we expected. It worked fine, but it wasn’t what we expected. I would recommend it to other people who enjoyed that same experience, but not someone who expected a campground. And we would definitely return… But maybe with a smaller trailer and a few more provisions for a more primitive experience. Firewood was free and we were even able to do laundry. That was a huge plus! Thanks Blake! Hope to see visit again!

Blakes campsite was ideal! It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. A dreamy meadow with a mountain stream nearby. We towed our camper which was a bumpy ride there but we made it just fine. It was chilly at night so bundle up! But the morning sun warmed us right up. Blake is super accommodating and we appreciated his hospitality to make our stay super comfortable.

Blake’s land is absolutely beautiful and he was a wonderful host! Upon arrival, he gave us a tour of the property and several options for campsites. We ended up in a very secluded spot and enjoyed the views! The waterfalls on the property are a must-see!

While I think this is a lovely area (flowers everywhere!), and we did enjoy our time there, it feels underdeveloped. There were no trash receptacles, and the bathroom and shower are about a 10-minute walk away. However, we didn't know there were bathrooms until the 2nd day after I asked since nothing is marked. The campsites weren't clearly marked either and we felt like we were guessing as to which site we were meant to have. For the price we paid each night, I expected the area to be better managed but it's still under development. We loved the river, my kids and I enjoyed playing in it. I thought that we would be able to hike directly to the waterfall but the path brings you to a lookout point. The path was a little dangerous and my kids had a hard time walking it, one twisted their ankle. Sneakers would be a safe option as it is at a slope. There is a pipe that provides water from a "spring" overfill. I'm not sure where it was coming from exactly but it was clear, cold, and delicious. Very refreshing. The hills were tricky in our van, which was packed down pretty heavy. We had to get a running start or our van would give up an just sit there. Just to note, there is little cell service at the site and no internet. We would stay here again if the price point came down.

Blake was an incredibly accommodating host. He brought us fire wood and showed us around. But the bathrooms were in a strange area where you had to go by and bother other people in houses around the area. It was a bathroom in a house surrounded by tiny houses. The door to the bathroom didn’t lock and there was a lot of mouse droppings. It was far enough away you had to drive and pulling up in a car felt like we were disturbing everyone. The campsites look like they would be far away from each other, but they are very very close. It was a beautiful area, but not worth it for the price we paid.

Blake has a great property: large, scenic, private. He had other campers that were distant enough in the meadow that I didn’t even notice. And Blake is an awesome host! He called me to give me detailed directions and arrange to meet, then gave me a tour of the property and waterfalls in his off roader. He was exceptionally accommodating.

The land is so beautiful! We were actually cold in July, camping among the Aspen trees. Perfect! Blake and his staff went out of their way to accommodate us. Everyone is so very helpful.

I have never felt uneasy at a campsite, but I did at Blake’s place. It’s extremely isolated & there is a lot of boondocking in the area. Another reason I felt uneasy was because a guy named Zane came to meet us at the residence when we arrived & he didn’t make us feel welcome in any possible way. He was vague & short when he spoke to us. I wish Blake (himself) would’ve come to talk to us to explain the amenities of the place, as he was very receptive & friendly on the phone. In addition, Hipcamp states that the place is in Silverton, but it’s actually in northern Durango; & the difference in climate is different between the two towns. Last, there were issues in finding the exact location of the site. Blake needs to be more assertive in making sure he provides the correct address from the get go to avoid people getting lost.
