I just needed a spot for one night, rather than a hotel room. Jill‘s place was perfect. I got to sit amongst the aspens as a summer storm blew over. Jill was friendly and unintrusive. The property is peaceful and felt remote. The camping spot is very close to the house.

Overall we had a good experience. This was our first time camping so the purpose was to test our equipment, determine what we truly need and don’t, and relax for an evening off grid. The location of this camp sight is in the corner of the host’s front yard right along side their driveway. The space was enough for a tent, a few chairs, and not much more. The host was hospitable and was there if we needed anything. There was a potty tent setup as well as a large wooden box that could be used as a table. It was very quiet aside from the sounds of nature. I think this would be a great spot for some, depending on their wants and needs.

Tent camping in Rist Canyon
Jill is a great host. Met me on arrival and we found the best spot to put my small overlanding trailer. Site is clean, quiet, and has plenty of shade in the afternoon. Area has low traffic in the evenings and when night falls, it's quiet and dark. No issues leaving my gear out all day as I left early and returned in the late afternoon/early evening. Good spot to cook, relax, and recover from the day.

It’s not camping when it is in someone’s driveway 50ft from their house with no lakes around or anything. As soon as I was informed (at the property) of where my tent would go, I was out of there and I went somewhere else, unfortunately I lost my money!!

I really enjoyed my time camping on Jill’s land. It was such a peaceful and serene experience! Truly a special place:) Jill is a lovely host and the camp ground was well maintained. I look forward to going back soon!

Tent camping in Rist Canyon
My husband and I had a great time tent camping at Jill's Mountain Meadows. Our main reason for camping here was proximity to the Mish. It was so nice to have a camping spot to ourselves not too far away. We were also really close to town for a bag of ice. We felt like we had just enough privacy but also appreciated having Jill come and chat with us each morning to make sure we had everything we needed. Also loved that we had a little porta set up! Thank you Jill!

Such a cool location. Feels like you are disconnected from the world and yet you are only 10 miles from the nearest small town. The camp site at Jill's place was private, well-maintained, and perfect for my needs. She had water on hand and a pop up portapotty, which was a more than I expected. Jill met me when I arrived and helped me get oriented. Cool, but slightly scary, was the thunderstorm that rolled through the canyon. It was so loud. Something you should experience some day.

Great host, great place, and great value. I picked this place because it's close to the Mishawaka concert I attended. Worked just fine for one night. The host is great at communication right away. Thank you!

Jill has a nice, secluded little spot in Rist Canyon that I'm glad she shares. It's a single spot so no worrying about neighbors that might not share your ideas of what "being in the outdoors" means, generators, music... Etc.
We had a peaceful single night stay and would definitely return...

It was great to meet Jill and camp on her land for a couple of nights. She is a very friendly and welcoming person. The campsite is also very comfortable with lots of fresh air in the summer.

What a wonderful little spot up Rist canyon. Jill was the perfect host, greeted us with a friendly smile soon arrival. So quiet and peaceful, lovely to fall asleep with so many stars in the sky to gaze at. 🌌The Mishawaka amphitheater is just a few minutes away, we had a great lunch there then headed up to our spot. We will definitely be back! Thank again😊

Jill's property is absolutely beautiful! It's a short drive to the reservoir without the crowds at the campgrounds. She was so great, I'm sure I'll be back!

What a great spot! A short drive from the Poudre river and Mishawaka, this is a phenomenal alternative to the crowded canyon campgrounds. Jill was so helpful and welcoming throughout the entire process. I would absolutely book again!
