In historic Alice, CO, located DIRECTLY off a paved road, is the secluded but easily reached pet friendly,40 acre, "Silver Creek Ranch." There you can enjoy the pristine Alpine Forest and fish in our private creek. We are 1 mile from Idaho Springs on I-70, and then 10 miles of striking views up a paved road. You DON'T NEED a 4-wheel drive to get here in the summer. Only a 45 -60 minute drive from downtown Denver. Once off the paved road, our sites are only 100-200 feet. While Denver is 1 mile high, we are 2 miles high!!! St. Mary's Glacier is just 1 mile away. It is a relatively easy 3/4 mile round trip hike up to the perennial Glacier as well as the lake where you are rewarded with spectacular views of the mountains. It is possible to ski or sled year round at the Glacier. We are above 10,000 ft, located in the middle of the Arapahoe and Roosevelt National Forests, where there are many hiking trails to explore . You can tour the Historic Alice, Colorado, Ghost Town, and the Working Phoenix Mine . Fish, on-site, in our privately owned Silver Creek where you'll find lots of Rainbow trout and Brook trout. No Fishing Liscence is needed, because your Silver Creek Ranch fishing permit is included in the cost of your stay ! We welcome tent as well as RV campers to our sites. Choose between open and sunny sites along our private creek or secluded sites in the evergreen forest...also along the creek! Encompassing about 1 mile of both sides of the river, every site at Silver Creek Ranch is either waterfront, or very close to the water. Silver Creek flows year round as it is fed by the Glacier. Enjoy the sounds of a babbling brook from your sleeping bag. ATV tours with amazing views of Pikes, Greys and torries peaks and the National Divide as well as tours of authentic mines at 12,000 ft. available for individuals or groups. Explore or fish in Loch Lomond, but watch out for Lommie! And check into the Rock House for more fun.

Silver Creek Ranch Historic Alice

Beautiful location tucked in right off the road - perfect car camping for us and close proximity to Denver made the trip short and easy! The creek beside our campsite was just what we wished for and the sound of it was soothing to fall asleep to. Our host was welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed to make our night as comfortable as possible, we will be back!

Silver Creek Ranch Historic Alice

Marci was incredibly easy to communicate with. The site we used #4 was right on the River and greatly exceeded our expectations. The beautiful land around it was great to wander around in, and it’s only a 45 min drive from Denver which made it so easy to facilitate. Definitely take the time to enter the gps coordinates the host provides, as finding the site may have been hard to do without them!
