Nestled in the back of our property, accessible via a horseshoe-shaped driveway, this dedicated camping spot awaits you. Please note that a 4WD/high clearance vehicle is essential for winter access, and rigs over 25' will not fit. We have a nice long pull-in with full hookups on our one-acre property. It is fully fenced and we are happy to accept pets. We are in a rural neighborhood setting and my husband and I do live on the property in the small green house you can see in the photos. There are houses around; it's not a secluded wilderness spot. We've been RVing for seven years (two of them full-time) and hiking and camping for many more. We're happy to provide local recommendations or to help you out with your rig if you're new. Our home is conveniently located approximately 35 minutes from Boulder or Nederland, 45 minutes from Eldora for skiing enthusiasts, 25 minutes from the Longs Peak Trailhead, and 45 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park. We have hiking trails directly from the backyard.Drive up from the city to your quiet little home base, where you can launch your next climbing, backpacking, or skiing adventure. This is a single gravel RV space toward the back of the property with full hookups (power, water, sewer.) There are no bathroom amenities here, so guests will need to be self contained, take waste with them and leave no trace. We do not have cell coverage, but will provide WiFi information upon arrival. Make sure you have directions downloaded before you depart. We're located approximately 25 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park's Longs Peak Trailhead, 45 minutes to skiing at Eldora, and 35 minutes to downtown Boulder, with lots of smaller trails and actives in between. Our driveway, though not too steep, can get slick in the wintertime, so 4x4/high clearance/ability to navigate snow is required. Our home is located at 8,500' and is subject to mountain weather conditions. The driveway is surrounded by trees, so overall RV/travel trailer length is limited.

Nice and quiet camping at Rocky Mountain Retreat. Hosts were nice and helpful. Beautiful views on the drive up to the lot with RV hookups surrounded by pine and spruce trees. We loved it.

Enjoyed camping on their property, especially the proximity to copious amounts of hiking trails! We didn't get to meet the "neighborhood bear," but heard plenty of other wildlife such as coyotes, elk and the last night brought us a beautiful hawk!!! Doggoes loved the openness and explored every inch of the property.

Thank you to Grayson and Tina for opening up their property to us and our fellow campers. It’s peaceful and quiet and offers a welcoming respite from the crowds at RMNP and Estes Park. It’s a quick and beautiful drive to the main park entrances in Estes Park and is even closer to additional RMNP sites on Eastern side of the park. Full hookups are a huge plus. I will definitely book again when we’re in the area.

I highly recommend Grayson and Tina's Hipcamp near Ward, Colorado. Good directions made finding the property easy. The campsite was on their beautifully wooded land. The site includes water and electrical hook ups. A great place to stay when exploring the Peak to Peak Highway!

This spot was lovely and the hikes around the area are amazing. The full hookups and fast WiFi were nice for a little glamping getaway. The spot is a mere 25-30 yards from the main house, so it is very close, BUT it’s still feels like you have your own area. It also beats an RV park.

Tina's place is spectacular! It's in a very quiet neighborhood with direct access to hiking trails right out of the back yard! The full hookups were great and easy to use. It's also something that is nearly impossible to find in this area. The road from boulder up to her place is no joke though. It is steep and twisty, but manageable. If you come up or down on the weekend be aware of bicyclists, they are everywhere on that road.

Tina's place was our first stop before heading into the Rocky Mountains. It was the perfect start. Away in the wilderness but with enough comfort to start the first day in the camper. Tina was very helpful as we weren't sure how to use the connections. Absolute recommendation and a great place!

Tina was amazing! She was so friendly, accommodating and quick to respond to all of my (many) questions. She also gave me some great hiking recommendations in the area. This is a fantastic spot to spend the night and then quickly get to some incredible hikes in the area that typically fill up early! Thank you again!

Tina & Grayson were absolutely wonderful hosts. Very friendly and accommodating. We had such a lovely and peaceful time on their property with our two dogs. The fenced in yard was especially great for letting the dogs roam without worry. Notable info: the road getting to the property is pretty rough, we actually had multiple items get loose in our RV upon arrival and departure. So just be extra sure that all items are secured! Thanks so much, y’all!!! God bless ♥️

Beautiful property, wonderful hosts, WiFi, & full hookups at 8400' made for a wonderful few days. We highly recommend Tina & Grayson's place. Just a few know before you go items. The road from Jamestown is long, steep, & has lots of switchbacks. If towing, consider the much shorter but all dirt road from the Peak to Peak Hwy. We tow a 3 ton RV w/a truck jigged to haul 5-1/2 tons but had to pull over twice to cool our tranny on the drive up from Jamestown & there aren't many pullouts. If towing a travel trailer be good at backing up around curves/obstacles. The lovely trees make for wonderful shade but also create challenges backing into this spot. We'd just upgraded from a popup to a 25' travel trailer. I should have done something easier as my first outing to get experience w/our new trailer. We fit in the site easily but took about 20 tries. Would have been more if not for Grayson's help. The hookups (we used 30A, water, & sewer) are on the passenger side if you back in. They're close enough to the site & worked great for us. But be sure you can either pull-in/back-out, or your hookups can reach under your rig to passenger side connections. No cell service but the WiFi works great. Just have your GPS loaded & don't expect to use your phone until you get set there. But all in all, Tina & Grayson's place is one we'd love to visit again when I'm more experienced backing my new trailer.

I loved car camping on Tina's land! It was very cozy and spacious and there was a fabulous cloud that swept over the mountain! The dogs loved being able to roam off leash with the closed fence! :) thank you Tina!

We loved it here! Quiet and easy to get to. Our 28 ft RV fit easily. An added bonus was our dogs were able to be off leash because the property has great fencing- they had a blast! The owner responds quickly to questions- sorry we didn’t get to meet you Tina, but we’ll be back!
