This retreat is adjoined to a peach orchard which has breathtaking views of Mt. Garfield and is surrounded by farms, vineyards and wineries. Mosher-Talley Orchard (MTO) is a ten acre, third generation farm. Located on the Fruit and Wine Byway, we are eight miles from Palisade or downtown Grand Junction. There are two wineries within one mile in either direction and four wineries within three miles. We provide electric hook-ups along with an indoor bathroom (no shower). Bring a propane bottle for our gas fire pit or enjoy our traditional one with complimentary wood. Friendly pets are welcome! There are two small free-range farm dogs that will likely greet you. On occasion, wildlife roams the property as well. Other local activities: (season depending) - Multiple hiking and mountain biking trails -Skiing/snowboarding (45 minutes away) -Wineries, distilleries and craft breweries -Local produce, pies, honey & farmer’s markets -River activities: rafting, SUP’s, and floating -Festivals -FishingThis retreat is in a lovely working peach orchard with breathtaking views of Mt.Garfield and is surrounded by neighboring orchards/farms, vineyards and wineries. During the summer months, July-September, you will have access to cherries, apricots, peaches, nectarines, fresh tomatoes and other produce on site. *This is a working farm and there are employees and customers from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm from July to September * This site is also located on the “Fruit and Wine Byway”, and eight miles from Palisade or downtown Grand Junction. There are two wineries within one mile in either direction and four wineries within three miles. Only one group is invited per night to ensure privacy. Electric hook-ups along with an indoor bathroom (no shower), and water access is provided. There is a half mile walking/jogging loop. Bring a propane bottle for our gas fire pit or enjoy our traditional one. Friendly pets are welcome! There are free-range farm dogs that will likely greet you. On occasion, wildlife roams the property as well. During the warm months we have an employee living on the property and ask that reasonable quiet times be recognized. Great experience camping on the farm; would highly recommend. The indoor bathroom was nice and clean. The site was easy to find and underneath a beautiful tree with a fire pit and outdoor table and chairs. Close enough to town and wineries, but feels nice and remote.

If we could give this twenty stars we would. This is what we imagined 'HipCamp' would be when we joined. A lovely private site, amongst verdant peach orchards, in the shadow of massive Mesa'a. Wine country and the cute town of Palisade on your doorstep. The site has excellent water and electric hookups, wood chips surround the trailer, a top of the range fire pit and table and chairs (plus free firewood) is provided. And on top of it all, charming hosts in Eric and Amanda, who make you both feel at home and also ensure privacy. Simply can't fault this site; and we will be back!

Stunning! I LOVED this stay. The farm is nestled in an adorable community, but once you're on the property it feels secluded. The views were incredible, the sound of birds and summer insects were sublime. Im a solo female traveler and loved that the space offered some privacy but was close-ish to the hosts.

Reverie Retreat at MTO
We stayed at Eric’s orchard for a week with our two dogs and had a fantastic time. The parking spot was ideal with some shade cover but also had a gorgeous view of the nearby plateau. Eric and his wife were so kind and hospitable. They shared great recommendations for places to take our dogs and gave us some of the fruit from their orchard. We would definitely book again.

We had an amazing stay! We traveled with 3 young kids and 2 dogs and the site was great for everyone. The kids had a blast playing in the orchards and the property is fenced and great for dogs. It was close to wineries too. The space was clean, clean bathroom, and Eric and Amanda were so friendly and great with the kids and offered good suggestions for things to do in the area. Beautiful spot!

Beautiful setting in the orchard with stunning views of Grand Mesa. And the most wonderful hosts, Eric and Amanda, are awesome people. Bonus: The Pie Shop is a short walk away. Even with a forecast of hot weather, the property felt considerably cooler.

The settings was beautiful with views of the mesa, peach orchards, and vineyards. Eric was an excellent host and brought us freshly picked peaches for breakfast. There is a pie stand across the street and close proximity to some of the wineries. Highly recommend.

We can’t say enough positive things about our stay at MTO! Eric and Amanda are wonderful hosts - kind and generous and willing to go out of their way to make our stay memorable. My kids loved running loose in the orchard (as did I… a nice dirt path goes around the property). We enjoyed learning about the farm and the other fun things on site. Be sure to grab some fresh produce or honey from the store, say hi to the sweet farm dog, and hit up The Pie Shop (next door) for a coffee, ice cream or slice of pie. Oh and the peaches!! Delicious and perfectly ripe during our stay in early August. We hope to be back!

We are on a cross country roadtrip and this was my top campsite of the entire trip! Eric was so kind and helpful. The site was beautiful and our dogs enjoyed an opportunity to be off leash and get exercise. I would 10/10 recommend this spot and can’t wait to come back.

This place is absolutely breathtaking, and the owners were so nice and accommodating! I couldn't recommend this place more, it was the perfect camping weekend, filled with so much fun and stunning views. Was very cool to be able to camp on a gorgeous peach orchard! We had a bunch of young kids with us and they had a blast all weekend. Will definitely be back! We also purchased some of their homemade peach jam and honey - they are delicious!

This was our second time staying at Reverie Retreat at MTO. We love the Palisades area and Eric is always very welcoming! We loved it even more this time as Eric made a new designated area for hipcampers. Thanks for another great stay!

Tent camping at this gorgeous peach orchard was lovely. Super warm hospitality. Hosts are such interesting people! Peaceful surroundings. Easy walk to pie café with good coffee and baked goods. Super nice bathroom (toilet, sink). I want to come back during peach season!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The site and surroundings were beautiful and the shade trees welcomed on a 90 degree day. After being on the road for over 2 weeks, this was our favorite campsite! If you're looking for peace, serenity, and a warm welcome, this is your place! We had our next stay booked before we even checked out. 😁

Truly exceptional hosts and spot

These hosts have really gone out of their way to create a special spot. We loved our two-night stay at the orchard! Eric and the dogs gave us a very friendly welcome as we arrived. The property was easy to find and is very well maintained, with a sweet camping spot near cottonwoods, ample fire pit with seating, and beautiful views. Firewood was provided, along with a propane insert as an option for those who want a campfire without woodsmoke. Creek water running past the campsite offered a soothing sound. The Peach House (toilet and sink with hot and cold water) were very clean and close by. Eric gave us excellent restaurant and winery recommendations. Can't say enough good! We plan to return when we pass through in the near future.

We had a great 2-night stay at Mosher-Talley Orchard! It was a quiet peaceful spot and had everything we needed! We loved the location and enjoyed nearby wineries, pie shops and downtown Palisade. Eric was very helpful and made sure we had what we needed. Highly recommend and happy to come back again during peach season!

Cozy Camping and Excellent Views!

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at MTO. We were tent camping so having a lush lawn underneath our sleeping pads made it super comfortable. The views are very pretty and we were in an excellent location to explore the surrounding area. The pups that came over to say hi were really friendly and well-mannered. Having a flushing toilet was icing on the cake. We have already recommended this spot to others and would definitely return!

There is a nice walk around the orchard. My dogs and I walked it in the morning with a cup of coffee in hand and it was lovely. I had so much fun exploring the town, I didn’t spend any time at the place but it’s all around great. I’d recommend it!

The hosts are awesome!👍 If you like dogs you will love theirs. Their dogs came and played with our dog all the time that we were there. Its a beautiful place to camp.

Eric's place is really beautiful. It's nicely maintained and it has a nice clean bathroom. I think it's perfect for a large camper or a fifth wheel. While the space was beautiful, it's pretty close to the owners' home. We travel in a Van and would have liked to be a bit more remote on the property. I would recommend the Reverie Retreat at MTO to our friends traveling in an RV.

So many positives and not a single negative. Eric and his wife are the perfect hosts. I learned more about peaches than I had ever learned in 67 years. Site is beyond clean and private. Their dogs are extremely friendly. Great location - and a pie factory across the street.

Very lucky to have gotten reservations at MTO at Peach Festival time. The spot is scenic and peaceful, we slept great every night. Amanda and Eric are two of the finest people you could hope to meet. In addition to the many orchards, farms and wineries, Colorado National Monument and Riverbend Trail provide ample opportunities for hiking and biking. This was our first Hipcamp, what a great way to start out! Thanks again to Amanda and Eric for such a great stay!
