Learn more about this land: Located in beautiful Northwest Colorado just west of Steamboat Springs. We have daily wildlife visitors including elk, deer, the occasional moose/bear and the normal Colorado visitors. At night you can hear the coyotes howling as you watch the stars. The serene views have excellent gravel road biking, as well as hiking onsite and multiple hiking trails in close proximity to public land. The on-site sandstone cliffs offer beginning climbers a ton of fun. The town of Hayden is located just 10 miles north with the amazing Historic Granary WildGoose Coffee Shop, Thursday farmers market, and the popular Yampa Valley Brewing Company. With views in the evening that capture the heart trust us you won’t be disappointed.

    Great little spot, neat geology. Pleasant host, came to greet us on arrival! Only had one night, would have liked to explore more.

    Heidi was very easy to communicate with. The camp spot is just below their house in a beautiful valley surrounded by lush greenery and many aspens (not to mention the cool limestone rock formations). We took a few dirt roads to get there and passed some grazing cattle along the way. If you’re looking for a remote spot away from others and a place off the beaten path - this is for you! Heidi and Matt were great hosts!

    This is a good spot. The hosts are kind and so is their big white dog. The camping spot is large with soft Earth. There is a backdrop to the north and west which provides afternoon shade and nice southern views of the rolling valley. This was also an excellent spot for stargazing.
