We had a good experience, but we felt the photos were slightly misleading. Make sure to read all of the information before deciding this is the spot for you. I wouldn't exactly call where we stayed a campsite. It was more of a lawn in their front yard. We were surrounded by houses and felt mildly watched by the neighbors, and it just didn't really feel like camping. There is no toilet (as mentioned in the description), but as it is someone's yard, it feels very awkward to use the bathroom, even if you have a portable camping toilet or you have to drive somewhere else to use the bathroom, which is quite inconvenient. There is definitely a lot to do within walking and driving distance, and if we had known exactly what we were paying for, I think we would've enjoyed it more. We just felt misled by their pictures and description, even though nothing was technically inaccurate. Rye, Colorado, is really beautiful, and we're glad we had the adventure.

My husband had a fun birthday staying in the little Rye cabin. The location is great, cabin nicely furnished, bed is comfy and there’s a small cafe in town and a few stores about 5-6 miles down the road if you forgot anything. And the deer were amazing! There were so many of them pretty much anywhere we looked, that was really nice to sit and watch them, so peaceful.
I am extremely glad that we brought our camp heater and extra thermals though! Granted we were there in January during a bitter cold snap. If you’re staying there in colder weather, make sure to pack appropriately! I’m looking forward to returning once the weather gets warmer. Thanks for s great stay!

Charming Rye Tiny Cabin
It’s a really nice cabin, Kiera is very helpful . we had to leave early bc of our puppy getting sick but definitely would stay another time. The only thing I wish they would put some mesh on the windows so you can keep it open without mosquitoes or bugs coming in for the hot days.

Kiera’s location is in a quiet part of Rye, CO. Had a hen turkey fly up and roost on the tree right over the top of our tent. Saw her fly down the next morning. Such a plus for us.

I stayed here over the 4th because I didnt want to tent camp and never get sleep (lol) and this was a great choice, very relaxing. I'm not sure if neighbors were gone for the holiday but if they were home, everything is spread out enough that you still have privacy and relaxation.
There is a nice big sign with the address, you just turn in and drive through grass and trees and the cabin will appear. I did see a fawn in the yard when I pulled up which I took as a good sign :)
There is a small fridge inside, a microwave, and a hot plate with a kettle, and a table outside if you want to eat there or inside.

Charming Rye Tiny Cabin
Staying at this cabin was amazing. Kiera and her husband were really helpful and gave us all the information and assistance needed for our stay. This cute place is in between the trees in a very quiet peaceful area. Me my wife, son and pup had a great time even though it wasn’t long. Perfect getaway, we will definitely be back!

I never met Kiera (the host) but she was communicative via text and promptly answered any questions I had. The cabin was exactly as described and a good fit for what I wanted - a place to unplug and rest away from the busyness of city life. Pit toilet is about 40 feet away from the cabin on the adjacent property. The electric burner (stove) was new to me, so I had a bit of a learning curve there. I’d recommend bringing your camping kitchen gear if you plan to cook but be advised that some types of pots/pans don’t work on the provided single-burner electric stove. (Cast iron does fine but my GSI Outdoors aluminum pots didn’t.) All in all, it was a peaceful, restful stay.

Real glamping I felt like as it had everything we would need. Mini fridge, dishes, heater, outlet, table for card games. As instructed we brought our own water which we used for doing dishes and drinking.
Enough room between neighbors for my dog to run around and be pleased finding many sticks.
Close by the various trails and lake Isabel.

There are homes around the cabin but it was super quiet and I felt alone but safe.

The cabin was wonderful! It was actually much more spacious than I thought based on the photos, with plenty of room for a few people and a dog. The property is beautiful, the outhouse is a short walk away, and this is absolutely a place I'd come back to.

Lovely, comfortable cabin! The space had more amenities than anticipated, like a micro, fridge, coffee maker, and cooking supplies which we enjoyed. I loved that the gated yard was very ample for my two dogs to run around without worry. I would definitely come back and enjoy a couple more days here.

The Cabin was indeed charming! It was a perfect location for a mini-writing retreat as it is a quiet, serene spot with Greenhorn Trail nearby for a good hiking break. I really appreciated the absence of electronic and wifi distractions. Having to use the outhouse got me up from sitting for too long to stretch my legs and the single burner with a tea kettle was perfect as I constantly had it going for tea. The electric heater stove kept the cabin warm and cozy. Next time, I'll bring my own wash basin and pot as I didn't think to bring them. Kiera was helpful, responsive, and kind.
I'll definitely be doing another writing retreat here!

This location is just what I was looking for. Cozy cabin with a great heater. The bed was really comfy and also a nice couch.
The land that the cabin is on is fenced so my dog could run around and I could relax. Deer are all over this town. So sweet and peaceful. Will definitely be back!

The property is lovely and perfectly located in between the town of Rye and the Greenhorn trailhead. Kiera was a wonderful host with all the right information. Overall, it was a great experience.

Truly charming! The tiny cabin has been thoughtfully restored, and the bed was comfortable. A momma and baby deer roamed closely by. The whistle / roar of the wind in the trees was very peaceful. More seclusion and a closer outhouse would have been nicer though. I would still recommend it to others for sure.

We booked this cabin at the last minute, during our trip to Colorado. We had to change plans because of the wildfire smoke coming from California. Rye was reporting better AQI than where we had originally planned on staying. Initially, we couldn't find the property because we weren't sent the address ahead of time, after booking. The booking description says this would be done, but it wasn't. I suggest you make contact and ask directly to get the information.
The bedding and sofa were very comfortable. We felt safe in the cabin and enjoyed the creature comforts; a convection burner, coffee maker and water dispenser. There were other items on hand that were also nice, such as bug spray and first aid supplies.
Their large dogs ran out to greet us upon arrival, and one of them presents fearful/protective. Just something to be aware of ahead time. The other dogs we're very sweet. They stayed near the owners house and didn't venture much into the cabin lot.
There were hummingbirds and mule deer around. We enjoyed watching them from the front porch.
Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The location is perfect for hosting San Isabel and the surrounding area. The hosts we're friendly.

Kiera's cabin was the perfect getaway for our anniversary! 2 acres to let the dog run around while we cooked and listened to silence... what more could you ask for!

The cabin was fantastic! The photos do not do it justice. We were very comfortable. The bed felt like home. Our party was 2 adults and one 6 yr old. Sleeps 3, two in bed and one on the couch. The kitchen is small and tidy. I recommend cooking what you can before you go. There is enough space and kitchen equip to cook/reheat but only small meals. Bring water as Kiera recommends. We used our water bladder outside for washing up. We drove to the Greenhorn Trail head (5min drive). I highly recommend doing this hike (even if it is for a short hike). Take curena verde road to the trail . I think we passed a sign that read dead end but the trail head is at the end of this road. We drove to Blue Lake (1.5 hrs) and caught trout. Lake Isabel is closer (20 min) and a beaut place to be as well. We hope to go back to the cabin to experience it all in the winter.
