Goodview Campground at RMOC

Amazing campsite! It is tucked into its own little corner, so you are secluded from all the other campers. Very clean and cool site! Right off of the Arkansas river, so you fall asleep to the sound of water. There is an outhouse just a short walk away that was very clean as well.

Fantastic Weekend on the River!

We had a great weekend at this site! It's right on the river, and given the time of year (mid-September) the water level was down a bit and there were no rafters going by so the site was very private. There were a few fly fisherman, but that was it. Despite the light up on the hill that other's have noted (I think it's on an adjoining property) we thought the stars were pretty wonderful. My daughter and I commented that it was probably our favorite campsite we have been to on our annual camping trip. I would highly recommend. Some things to note: 1) While the owner's should probably pony up and provide a picnic table at the site (it would really improve the site), we brought a small folding table that worked out perfectly. 2) You have to load your equipment down a fairly steep wooden ramp so be prepared.

Great spot—spacious, private, with good shade and easy access to the river. The steps down to the river are not for little kids, but are easy enough for tweens, teens, and adults. Fantastic site for a quick weekend getaway.

Lovely spot on the river! Felt secluded yet close to many things. It was neat to watch the boaters go down the river, I was jealous. I wanted to check out the brewery bar but spent the day at the Field of Vision festival. Next time!

It’s true like other people have said in reviews that there is not a lot of privacy due to rafters in the river. But this is only during the rafting tour’s open hours, and we still had an amazing time wading in the river and setting up our site when they were open and on the river. After that, the sunset, campsite, sound of the river and fire pit were all worth it! Our dog also loved the location!

Beautiful shaded campsite by the river. Easy access to the river and restrooms. There were fun games avs a play area for kids by the main office and brewery. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We look forward to coming again!

The campsite is very well placed !! It is isolated and private ,for a campground. The foliage creates a nice boundary between the rest of the area. The views are exceptional , you can step down to the riverbank easily. Yes , you can see the high ropes course to the left , but it’s just through a slight opening in the foliage , and yes you can see some people kayaking and rafting down the river , but that’s part of camping by the river :) I loved it and plan to come back soon !

The map shows a walking path around the camp site but that's not the case. The walking path goes right through your campsite. If you have dogs or small children I wouldn't be comfortable in this spot like we were. Also, when we were trying to set up our camp, the rafting company took there time moving there van from the bottom stairs which was the more accessible spot to the camp site. In the summer the sun hits the tent spot almost immediately in the morning, like 530am. They say not to put your tent in the shaded area because people will be walking through your site at all times. You are not next to the river but it's an easy walk. The shade starts around 10am. There is a flush toilet nearby during the day and water. 6/10.

Beautiful view of the river from our campsite, and loved hearing it at night as we slept! It was fun to watch the rafters go by during the day - we didn’t mind it, but if you wanted privacy that + being near the other campsites might not be your thing. It was also in a very convenient location next to rafting outfitters and a quick drive to BV.

Great little spot in a convenient location! There are a lot of nice places to hangout around the campsite. The area was clean and the portopotties were decent/had toilet paper. The group next to our campsite did stay up until 11pm talking loudly and their dog was barking. But we eventually fell asleep. If possible, I would recommend reserving one of the campsites closer to the river as the spots aren’t as close to the highway and aren’t as close to other campsites.

Check in was easy but it took a bit of scanning to find the check in desk as it’s the check in desk for a few activities on the grounds as it host a couple of various other things as well. Nice space with access to a bathroom and water if needed. Loved the location and would recommend

We enjoyed our stay at Riverside #5! It was a large, private, and shaded area. It was nice falling asleep next to the river. Access to the river was somewhat easy. Had to walk down a steep set of stairs, but it was no issue for us. .

I don’t really want to say how amazing this place was for fear word will get out and it will never be available again. By far - my fave campsite ever. Gorgeous, private, serene, on the river, shaded, spacious, nearby portapotties…… ANNNNNND (we couldn’t even believe it), onsite where we reserved our white water rafting at the outpost was a FULL bar and food truck, open 11 AM - 7 PM!! The food was fantastic, service was fantastic, vibes were on point. Can’t beat this place. Loved it. Can’t wait to go back!

We tent camped and had more than enough room! The camp ground was easy to find off the freeway and site 12 was labeled well! We arrived at 10pm and easily navigated the camp ground to find the site. If you plan on tent camping definitely bring sleeping pads as you are sleeping on gravel. The freeway is kind of noisy until about 12am-530/6am but after full days of hiking we slept so well & weren’t bothered by the noise at all. We didn’t have time to try out the brewery or food truck but next time it is a must!!

This site (#5) was amazing and so gorgeous, it was really slanted but it wasn't a problem to us, the steps down to the water are crazy but it was a fun challenge, we got recommend a fantastic hike and enjoyed our stay. I really hope to come back here, the potable water turns off at night which was annoying but probably understandable

Great site depending on your priorities and requirements for your trip. This spot was super easy, convenient, with lots of amenities in a beautiful setting. Kids and I were there for just a night and had a great time down at the beach and an absolute blast in the bike park. If your priorities are quiet, having some space, or looking for true camping in the outdoors this is not a good fit.

It was lovely being by the river, however the steps are steep and uneven, as well as the area around the fire pit. It was hard to use the fire pit at all and both my kiddos fell multiple times. It is also not private with the rope course looking down on your site. The port-a-potties were in need of cleaning for the first two days and finally got it the day before we left. My guess is with the large troop next to us they needed an extra cleaning. Overall, I found nothing about this site that would entice me back. It wasn’t what I was hoping my kid’s first Colorado camping experience would be and was too expensive for the difficulty of the site with lack of privacy.

First off, the directions from Hipcamp's "get directions" feature are wrong. If you stay here make sure to manually input the directions in the GPS. The good: the site is beautiful. The Arkansas River is stunning, the river keeps the site cool, produces an endless supply of driftwood, and bugs aren't bad because the water moves fast. It's shady and much more comfortable than the drive in sites look. The bad: this is not a private site. They seem to send 4 rafts down the river every hour and they can see your whole camp site. There's a giant light on the campground that obscures the stars. People hike down from the drive up sites to fish on the shore by your campsite. The meh: playground was so uninspired we didn't bother showing it to our 4 and 6 year old. Parking across the campground prevents packing out at night. My T-mobile phone had a roaming signal. Lots of structured outdoor adventure activities around which I'm not in to but maybe you are.
