It was perfect! The trail up to the meadow was well-marked and easy to follow. The distance and campsite were as advertised. The solitude of the private land was perfect and there were a billion stars.

Robyn’s property is beautiful! Her husband greeted us at the gate and Robyn welcomed us once we made it to their place. They were very very kind! The hike up to the campsite was beautiful and definitely challenging at some points. Only a mile though, so not too bad, and definitely worth it! It was peaceful at the top and felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. I definitely recommend camping here and I will for sure be back!

Secluded stay that was not far away
The Canyon Vista campsite is an excellent place for a secluded stay on the front range. The location and views are wonderful, you can get a piece of feeling off grid without going deep into the mountains.

Great scenery and hosts
Beautiful scenery, and wonderful hosts. It was great to stay here, the property and backdrop are great. A nice quick night away from the city traffic and noise without being too far away. No I-70 corridor traffic makes this even better. Our hosts were very friendly and inviting. Would definitely want to come back in the future!

Hiking up the .9 mile well marked trail to the top of the hill was fun. The view from the top is awesome and the way the haze and sun was setting made it look super unique when we were there. The site on the top of the hill had a good view and trees to break any wind that may have been there. The hosts are super friendly and seem to want to help kids and adults explore the outdoors.

This is such a cool spot in the canyon behind horsetooth! As another reviewer said, the site is fairly close to the host’s home, but we were never bothered after arrival unless we approached them first. Robyn was very helpful and even loaned us a long-handled lighter! The trail they have created up to the top/meadow is an awesome touch and actually a real “hike” we would say which was nice to have access to steps from the site. My only advice would be caution from bringing a trailer at all. We had a small tab and it hardly fit in the site comfortably, but even trickier is the driveway set-up to back it in. It is steep and when we went it was still a little wet from snow melt which was quite a challenge. Overall, we would definitely return, just without the trailer, and might even try their new addition backpacking site up on the meadow :)

Winding Drive at Broken Pines
Challenging destination, nice views
This site is probably better suited for tent camping. We had a small tab-style camper and could barely fit in the site, and it was intense getting parked as the site is protruding at a 90 degree angle off a decently pitched gravel driveway. The floodlight from thier house shone down on our site at night. Some may be comforted by the proximity to the hosts' house but we found it somewhat intrusive. The road leading to the site is (as the name says) winding and steep but once you get settled, the views are amazing! The trail on premisis is moderate to difficult as there is lots of elevation to deal with, but worth it if you are physically able. Just be aware of the actual accommodations and the challenges. The hosts were friendly overall and enabled us to have as much privacy as possible considering thier house was about 30 yards away.
