Barr Trail and Barr Camp offer a unique year-round escape, nestled in the breathtaking beauty of Pikes Peak, Colorado. This stunning location features picnic tables, clean composting toilets, and picturesque scenery, all available at no cost. Guests can enjoy a selection of snacks, hot beverages, and merchandise for purchase during our operating hours from 7 AM to 7 PM. We kindly request that visitors respect our overnight guests by keeping noise levels down and avoiding the deck after hours. Please note that drinking water is not provided at Barr Camp; however, a stream at the camp's entrance allows you to treat or filter your own water. Well-behaved dogs are welcome at Barr Camp, provided they remain on a leash and under control at all times. While dogs are not permitted in any buildings or lean-to shelters, we ask that you clean up after your pet to maintain the cleanliness of our facilities. To protect the longevity of our hard-to-obtain mattresses and to be considerate of guests with allergies or dog phobias, dogs are only allowed in your own tent.
