Its the perfect little spot right outside of Yosemite park. It has the basics you need if youre new to camping or just want to visit the park without having to camp outside. It had AC for the hot summer nights, and a running toilet and shower. Loved it so much!

Cabin was perfect and made our Yosemite trip super easy. Host was also helpful and gave great recommendations for the park. Store and restaurant on site were convenient and staff was very friendly! Would stay again.

Located just 25-30 minutes from Yosemite’s entrance, this spot boasts a quaint lake nearby for a refreshing dip and several hiking trails. The cabin and bed are incredibly cozy and comfy—absolutely no complaints! We got to witness the deer grazing in the morning! Our host was wonderfully kind, offering plenty of tips for our first Yosemite adventure. He’s also a talented bear photographer! I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to return! 🐻✨

Der Campground lebt von der Nähe zum Yosemite Park. Für alle, die keinenPlatz auf den Campgrounds im Park erhalten haben, kann dies eine Option sein.
Allerdings hat der Platz mit den meisten Campingmoeglichkeiten keinen Schatten.
Wenn man 10 $ extra zahlt, kann man einen Platz mit Wifi erhalten, der auch Schatten bietet. Dies ist dann naeher an den Toiletten und Hütten.
Insgesamt 55 $ für einen Zeltplatz, der einige Investitionen benötigt, ist viel, aber alternativ los, wenn man nicht noch eine weite Anfahrt zum Park haben will.

Yosemite Ridge Tent & RV Basecamp
the camp site was close to Yosemite Park, but the tent sites where old RV pads full of rocks and weeds. I was told the water was good to use but it came out red with rust, the place was a weed patch and there was buildings falling down. The tent site were very close to the main road so there was truck and car noise all night.

It is a really close place to Yosemite. The host and employer of the campsite are super nice. They offered practical information for arranging my itinerary. I will definitely visit here again.

Pros: had a place to set up camp and hot shower. Essentially got the job done. If you're trying to find a place last minute and this is your only choice, OK.
Cons: It had the feeling like Scooby Doo and the gang should be there to solve a mystery. Eerie ambiance, drained and overgrown pool, tiny houses crushed by large trees, stayed 3 nights, but there was only one or two other occupied campsites on each night, which added to the creepy vibe.

This is a perfect place outside of the chaos of yosemite. It was affordable and exceeded my expectations. The owner is very helpful and accommodated me and my children without me even asking. For a woman traveling alone across country with 2 small children, he really looked out for us and put us in a perfect location. He was always available at all hours and made excepts to accommodate, not only me, but other guest. If you want something affordable and to have space from the crowd, this place is perfect.

The site is very close to the park, which makes a difference for getting there early and just less time in the car. If you are a light sleeper, may be worth brining ear plugs because the tent sites are right off the highway and there were a lot of trucks driving by at early hours. Final point is that this place is convenient but not the most pleasant.

Very well located, at only 20 minutes to Yosemite by car. With all you need : free showers, wifi, gas station, little shop…

The accommodations were minimal but adequate for overnight parking/camping somewhat near Yosemite Valley. I think a little lower price per night would be fair. Also, the weeds/brush should be controlled more. I appreciated the friendly camp manager.

Very well located for the South entrance if the Nat Forest and Valley campsites are full. Lovely new owners who know they need to invest, and have a multi-year plan to do so.
However, as others have noted in the pics, the real basics are not being done. 90% empty campsite but filthy bathrooms, trash not emptied. The fallen trees still on top of cabins give it a somewhat dystopian feel. No shade at all in the tent sites.
Maybe the RV sites are better, and I'm sure things will improve over time, but for now, not a good experience.

Overall, good campsite. I think the business manager was doing the best he could given the situation. The employees were very welcoming.
Pros: showers with hot water, bathrooms, and WiFi if you’re close enough to the general store.
Cons: drinking water was brown no matter how long we let it run, campsite on the road of Hwy 120 which was semi-busy even at night, several cabins were crushed by trees on the property.
Overall: if you want a place to shower and within 45 mins of Yosemite Valley, this is a good option.

It is a great, clean, quiet place with lots of space, nice flat spots for tents. It's great especially for an early start to enter Yosemite which can be very crowded and hard to find campsites for. It's close to the park and other cool things, and the store has a lot of great stuff. Great bathrooms. A deer came close to our site at night which my 12 year old daughter was very excited about. Much easier and better than many other hipcamp sites I have used. Not super crowded or loud like some experiences I have had camping in the National Park, and an easy drive in.

L’emplacement géographique est très proche du parc de Yosemite c’est un +. Nous étions en van, emplacement proche de la route en plein soleil sans charme. Les toilettes et douches ne donnaient pas très envie de s’y aventurer. Le camping avait l’air d’être laissé à l’abandon ( arbre tombé sur une habitation ) cela fait un peu bizarre à l’arrivée. Nous nous sommes retrouvé dans nos avis avec des autres campeurs.

NOT AS ADVERTISED - DO NOT BOOK! 🚨 Unless you just need a place to crash with barely any amenities, do not camp here. As we arrived to check in, we weren’t even sure we were in the right spot, as the camping spaces did not match what was advertised. They failed to show 3-4 cabins that have not been touched after large trees have fallen on them like some hurricane accident. There were also trailers in the background that were in horrible shape that made the space feel unsafe. We could not access the Wi-Fi or get warm showers because the electricity was out for most of the two days we camped there. That left us cold showering in dark bathrooms with toilets and showers that were horribly stained. The dispersed camping area has no shade at all, leaving my husband and I to sit in our car with AC until the sun went down due to 100+ degree weather. Not to mention the “potable water” that was advertised ran brown. We remained there due to our desperation to hike Yosemite since there were no other campsites there, but I would say that this camp is on its last legs. I would never camp here again unless I had no alternative.

Neil’s customer service is on point. His camp site is very clean and has lots of space. Plus it’s only 45min from Yosemite Valley. I look forward to camping here next year when I bring my family and friends.
