My two dogs and I had a very nice stay at this Hipcamp location. The hosts were responsive and helpful. The cabin is cozy, with a fully stocked kitchen, board games, DVDs, and a very useful binder with local information and things to do. The property is wooded and hilly, with paths cut through it, multiple seating and eating areas, and plenty of outdoor activities/games.. Nights were quiet (I did hear shooting practice down the road for a couple of hours one day). Overall, a relaxing and exceptionally well-set-up place to stay, particularly for a group..

Had a wonderful time at this site! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how open and spacious the property is. There’s so much room to spread out, relax, and really take in the natural beauty of the area. Whether you’re coming with family, a group of friends, or bringing your dogs along, this place has the perfect setup to make everyone feel at home and comfortable.
The cabin was clean, cozy, and incredibly well-stocked with everything we needed — you can really tell a lot of thought and care has gone into making it feel welcoming. The site also offers a great selection of games and activities, which kept both the kids and adults happily entertained for hours. There’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Steven and Michelle were so kind and super responsive to any questions or needs we had.
Looking forward to booking again in the future !

We loved our time at the cabin. The trees provided a wonderful respite from the heat. We had deer drinking at the stream nearly every day. The thoughtful touches that Steven and Michelle have put into the both the cabin and the surrounding area made our vacation very special.

Everything about this place is amazing. Fully stocked with everything you could need, outdoor shower was my favorite part, quiet, tons of firewood, a platform to do yoga on, and the dogs could roam. 🩷 Blissfully way to disconnect.

Steven and Michelle’s place was exactly what we needed! We have a pretty spacious yurt we were looking to pitch and their property provided more than enough space. The dogs loved the grounds and with the games and activities throughout, we never got bored. In enjoying our downtime I wanted to take advantage of the outdoor cooking options and got a chance to smoke a chicken and grill a bunch(we enjoyed it so much, when we got home we promptly bought a smoker and a grill). Of course at night, we took advantage of the fire pit and the screen for projecting movies. This place was everything we’d hope for.

Michelle and Steven were so easy to communicate with and very responsive. We loved hearing the birds' songs in the morning light and falling asleep to the stars. We brought tents for outside sleeping as well. But the comfort of the bed in the cabin was much appreciated! There are so many games available and a great fire pit with seating. The outdoor shower is awesome! And the kitchen is more stocked than many rentals we've stayed in. I'd say that the cabin/property was just a bit closer to the road than I expected, but it didn't really bother us. And there are visible other houses/properties fairly close by. Again, was not an issue for us, but just wasn't expecting that. The property is peaceful and beautiful. Thanks for being so accommodating Michelle and Steven!

Our 3 night stay with our two little boys couldn't have been better! We had almost everything we needed, and the things we didn't were already mentioned and came along with us. The boys found all the bugs and brought some extra dirt home with them. Absolutely would recommend for some country relaxation by the fire. Bring that mosquito spray though! 10/10.

This is our second time enjoying this beautiful forest spot. We enjoy the solitude for our small family, and their five acres could easy accommodate more. Fridge, stove, electricity, hot water, three types of grills most of the comforts of home, and far enough away to get no cell service!!!

Thank you Steve and Michelle for sharing your beautiful cabin for us this weekend. We enjoyed staying in this lovely cabin. Tree house, swing, zip line , hammock, out door shower.. so excellent. You guys have more cookware and serving wares than I have at our house. Our two dogs ( golden retriever and black lab) did not finish exploring. We will send our family and friends to this place and definitely come back.

This place was EXACTLY what the family was looking for. Ahhh, we drove out of there so relaxed and refreshed. Steven and Michelle have everything you need for the kids to have a blast and for the parents to relax. They are great to communicate with. There are little sitting areas and surprises for the kids throughout the property. My 5 yr old son found the fairy tree and spent an hour talking to the fairies through the door. I enjoyed my coffee and muffin at one of the many sitting spots both mornings. The only thing that would have made it better was if I would have booked a week instead of a weekend. Oh, and I no longer cringe over having to use an out house…. I’m not sure what kind of engineering goes into it, but there was no smell whatsoever.

We loved our trip to the cabin!! The kids had a ton of fun, and everyone loved the outdoor shower and the projector. The cabin was more well stocked than we realized and we totally over packed haha.
It was a little closer to neighbors and the road than we thought. But we still loved it and will definitely be back!

We loved Steven and Michelle’s cabin. The property is beautiful and plenty of space to explore. The cabin has everything you would need and plenty of firewood for campfire. Everything was ready and clean for us to use. Our family had so much fun, there was something for everyone to enjoy. We loved the great selection of dvds for movie nights, all the sport toys, zipline and hammock. The bed was so comfortable and warm. The shower was relaxing. Felt like a home away from home. We had a great spring break would like to visit in the summer. We highly recommend Steven and Michelle’s cozy cabin. Thank you for everything!

Only negative I can think of is the lack of cell service, but then that’s kinda a positive too! What a charming property centered around an efficiency style little cabin. It looks like a place that was built and maintained by a professional carpenter or similar. Lots of little custom made items. Perfect with families with kids and various sizes of groups. There is only one queen bed inside the cabin so everyone else is camping, there were a number of hood tent sites scattered around the property past the super fun zip line, or across the bubbling creek. They have three grills, an awesome fire pit and a full kitchen. If you need something to do after dark, they have a dvd player and some board games. I’m looking forward to my next visit, maybe when it is colder and the pot belly stove in the cabin would come into play.

Such a wonderful place to retreat! It has so many things for the kids to do and is very well kept. The owners are extremely responsive and very kind. We really didn't want to leave. We are already planning our next trip there.

This IS a cozy cabin and so much more. One can expect well thought out spaces for relaxing, reflecting, and just being. If that's not your type of getaway, then there are games galore for indoors and outdoors, a zipline, a slack line and a labryinth to walk all on the property. Truly something for everybody. If you bring your dog, they will love it. See the photos for how they prepared for my pup to join us. All you have to bring is your food, or you can head into town for meal prep. There are markets not too far away. Don't bring spices, cups, plates, etc... because honestly, they have it all (see photos) . Such generous hosts. The water running in the creek was a huge bonus. They had firewood galore for us, charcoal briquets, propane in the gas barbecue, ready to go. The outdoor shower and compost toilet, may be intimidating to some, but honestly both are so well created, you feel comfortable. The shower has delightfully warm water and you can shower while looking at the trees, but within a private space. Oh, and the bed is super comfy. We slept so well. We felt honored to be in this space and will definitely return! Thank you generous hosts!
