Welcome to Tru-Love Ranch! A stones throw from local State Beaches and a central location for visiting Santa Cruz or Monterey. Camp on our viewing deck that overlooks the wetlands known as Harkin's Slough. It is a bird watchers retreat: we have seen just about everything from a finch to a family of osprey's on our property. There is a small plane airport across the way so those "birds" are fun to watch but can be a bit noisy on sunny weekend days. We are also 15 minutes away from Corralitos Wine Trail and the famous Corralitos Market.

Wetlands Overlook Camping
Great experience!
We had a great experience at Rob’s place! Very helpful host and as he said upon arrival ‘I like to over deliver’, and it’s all true! Although I thought we booked a regular camp spot, Rob surprised us with an already to use tent. Besides, Rob had great recommendations for discovering the region. I would definitely recommend everyone to stay at Rob’s place!

Wetlands Overlook Camping
Great stay! Rob was very accommodating. After a couple days of more primitive camping, his tent, fire pit and space was very comfortable. If I were to pass through SC again I would definitely come back! Great views of the property and marshland

Wetlands Overlook Camping
Rob and his family were lovely and their space they’ve created had a lot of love put into it. Amazing views and a very comfy place to stay for the night. I hope to come back through again in the future!

Glamping Wetlands Overlook
My son and I escaped the city for a couple of nights and found the perfect respite at The Wetlands Overlook. Hawks, wild turkeys, scrub jays, hummingbirds, and all manner of wildlife abound in this lush hideaway. We loved the firepit (s'mores!), the spectacular views, the proximity to great hiking and beaches, and the warm hospitality of the host family. Previous review re: bed is spot on... best night's sleep in a tent -ever. It's easy to reach this gem, yet it felt miles away. We loved this place and look forward to coming back!

Wetlands Overlook Camping
Great little location!
The proximity to the beach is phenomenal and the space is very private and secure. You are snuggled up behind their house but could barely tell they were there. Mattress was remarkably comfortable, the view was incredible and we heard owls and coyotes in the evening. A small heater, grill and extension cord were provided! The highway and airport are close by so there is residual noise but we got to see a bunch of small planes coming and going which was cool. Rob had perfect communication. He met us (with fresh veggies from their garden!) and guided us to the spot as you need to go through their front yard and along the house to access the back end where you stay. Overall a great location for a few nights. I look forward to the next time!

Wetlands Overlook Camping
An absolutely perfect solo camping trip! The host family was so warm & welcoming, and made sure I had everything I could need, even offered me an extension cord to charge my phone. The campsite itself is absolutely gorgeous + the property is so lovely. There’s a huge veggie garden, beautiful views, a fire pit, little hummingbirds everywhere, and even some turkeys roaming around. I felt super safe + my spot felt very private. I can’t rave enough about the care this family put into making it such a wonderful stay with easy communication & the kindest welcome.
