Perfect spot to get away for the weekend! The cabin area was clean and the owners friendly. To get down to the cabin is a little steep but if you don’t feel confident getting down or out of there the owner kindly offered to help out. Great for animal lovers as the horses, chickens, goats, and more are always nearby. The fresh eggs in the morning were the cherry on top. There’s only a porta potty on site but it was in A1 condition. Definitely recommending to friends and family.

Jeremy's "Super View Cabin" is a fun getaway with amazing view of the lake and accompanied by friendly animals. The cabin is comfortable with a queen size bed and an amazing view for sunrise and sunset. Amenities: Next to the cabin, Jeremy provides a picnic table with umbrella, chairs, propane fire pit, trash bin, BBQ stove and an outdoor shower powered by solar. While there is a water hose next to the BBQ, you may also use the outdoor kitchen area a short walk down the hill next to the chicken coop. Activities: Enjoy the view for sure! But if you're looking for other activities, there are plenty of friendly farm animals where you can get fresh eggs from the hen, say hello to the sheep/goats, and walk by the horses grazing on the grass. Like what others have said, the lake is a steep 20 min walk down and it will be challenging for little ones or elderly. If you do get to the lake, Jeremy provides kayak for you to bring down to the lake. There isn't quite an easy to hang out "beach area" of sort because it's quite rocky as the water has receded considerably for central CA agricultural needs. The super view cabin is fairly private unless you have people who camping further down driving back and forth often. Otherwise, it's a relaxing getaway for Hipcampers looking for a great lake view, fresh eggs daily and a friendly host.

The tree house was cozy and comfortable. The outdoor kitchen had everything we needed. The views and scenery were beautiful. Stargazing at night was incredible. I highly recommend booking a stay here ❤️

Great stay

We followed the host’s directions (not Google Maps) and arrived without any issues. The host greeted us warmly and showed us to our cabin. The road from the main house down to the cabin is a bit steep but well-maintained with gravel — I drove a truck without any problems, and even saw a Honda Accord make it up and down. As long as you drive slowly and carefully, any car should be fine. The cabin itself was beautiful and peaceful, with a stunning view — you can even see the lake right from the bed. The grill was perfect for cooking, and although the bathrooms were a short walk away, we didn’t mind. We spent time down by the lake and enjoyed seeing the horses, sheep, and chickens on the property (and even got fresh eggs from the coop!). The stargazing at night was incredible. I never seen so many stars. The only small downside was that a larger group was camping below the cabin, so a few cars passed by, but it still felt private and quiet overall. The host — friendly, helpful, and shared some exciting plans for future improvements. We’d definitely stay here again and might try the other cabin next time, though this one has the best lake view.

Perfect Romantic Getaway 🌅

I booked the lake view cabin to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. The cabin itself was super cute, cozy, and had large windows perfect for stargazing at night. The view from the cabin was absolutely epic — both sunrise and sunset were breathtaking, and the lake was stunningly beautiful. The property has a lovely rustic charm with friendly animals like dogs, hens, sheep, goats, lambs, and a horse. There’s even a kayak available if you want to explore the lake, which we really enjoyed. Jeremy was an amazing host — friendly, responsive, and went above and beyond by arranging a beautiful bouquet for my wife at my request. He patiently answered all my questions since it was my first glamping experience, which made everything smooth and enjoyable. One small note for first-time campers: the portable toilet is a bit away from the cabin and doesn’t have a traditional flush, so it might be an adjustment at first. Overall, we had an incredible stay and would definitely love to come back again — next time with our friends! ⭐ Rating: 5/5 — Highly recommended!

Had an great stay in the Super View Cabin on Jeremy and Michelle's farm! The view is incredible (sunrise is top notch and you can watch it from the cabin), animals are friendly, and the lake is a short walk down from the campsites/cabins. Jeremy also gave us many great recommendations for restaurants and wine tasting in the area. We'll absolutely be back!

Beautiful place!

My family and i we enjoy the view, the 3 dogs that were around us, the fresh eggs, was a fantastic weekend, i love to cook outdoors, everything was perfect, we love animals, the horses are so sweet,, I really recommend this place. Jeremy was a very good host, thank you very much.

The camping spot is nice and secluded. All amenities listed were present, and the site was clean. The animals were friendly as advertised, and my family especially enjoyed hanging out with Luna. The walk down to the lake is very steep, and it was too hot to make it worth our while due to a heatwave, but Jeremy did give us lots of great ideas for places to go nearby, including several spots in Murphys. Jeremy is very kind. Make sure to follow the host's directions for getting to the property as well as getting to the site, as they are incredibly helpful.

Glamping with a View!

My husband and I were lucky to find Jeremy and Michelle's property. A perfect, peaceful spot to celebrate our 16th anniversary. We stayed at the Super Cabin View, and it was by far the most memorable trip we've taken this year! The view was absolutely breathtaking. We loved being so close to the resident animals, goats, horses, and chickens. And spent our last day with Luna, one of the sweet resident dogs, who followed us to and from the chicken coop where we can collect fresh eggs. Although we had to cut our stay a little short to care of our fosters back home, Jeremy was incredibly kind and quick to respond throughout our visit and gave us the quiet we we were looking for. We truly appreciated the hospitality and can’t wait to come back!

We had an amazing time at Jeremy's place! Jeremy was so kind and hospitable. He had great recommendations for food and places to go. The kids loved being able to gather chicken eggs each morning to eat. His dogs Juno, Luna, and Willow were the sweetest. We loved being able to hang out with the horses and the goats as well. It was an experience of a lifetime to be able to wake up and see the sunrise and the lake. We loved being able to go down to the lake to fish and ride the kayaks as well.

Jeremy is an amazing host and the tree house was the perfect stay for us. It’s centrally located to beautiful forests and trails and the town of Murphy (with a wonderful park and creek for kids to play). The bathrooms were so clean, having a mini fridge was great, and evenings on the porch were idyllic. Jeremy was quick to respond, gave great restaurant recommendations, and was understanding when we had to leave a day early due to an emergency. We will definitely be back again!

We had an amazing time on Jeremy’s property! He was so accommodating and so much help while we were there. The lake was kinda a walk but if you have a capable 4wd you can drive down 3/4s of the way. The guardian dogs on the property are very sweet. They do bark a little more than we would have liked. But Jeremy mentioned the dogs name and told me to just tell him “NO”. After that we had no problems. I really have but great things to say about this place and we definitely will be coming back!

We had such a wonderful experience camping on Jeremy’s land! What stood out the most was the incredible privacy, it really felt like we had the whole space to ourselves, with plenty of distance from other sites. We also felt very safe the entire time. The presence of cameras and Juno, the sweet and loyal guardian dog, gave us real peace of mind. Juno quickly became a favorite part of our stay — always nearby, gentle, and protective. The views of the lake were absolutely beautiful, and the kids had a blast interacting with the animals, especially the chickens. Getting to collect and enjoy fresh eggs was such a special treat that made our stay even more memorable. Jeremy was a fantastic host — super responsive, clear in his communication, and thoughtful in offering tips about local spots to explore. We really appreciated how easy he made everything from check-in to checkout. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a peaceful, safe, and family-friendly getaway surrounded by nature!

We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the peaceful setting, especially the animals on the property, which were a lovely experience for the children. However, there were a few things we wish had been more clearly communicated in the listing. The walk to the lake is quite steep and downhill, which can be difficult for young children or older adults. The final stretch is rocky and uneven, and the sand at the shoreline is soft in spots and sinks in — which felt a bit unsafe for small kids. Additionally, the lake gets deep very quickly, with no real shallow area, making it less ideal for families with young children. We mentioned we were coming with children and parents when we booked, so we ended up having to drive about an hour away to find a more suitable spot to enjoy the lake safely. The cabin and outdoor cooking area also lacked shade during the daytime, which made it uncomfortable in the heat. We had to make a trip to the nearest hardware store to buy a tarp just to create some coverage. Lastly, the propane firepit — which we paid extra for — did not work, so we weren’t able to use it during our stay. Overall, while the location has potential and the animal interactions were a highlight, we think it would be helpful if the listing included clearer details about lake access, shade availability, and the condition of paid amenities like the firepit.

Jeremy was awesome. The cabin was cute and the view was great. It’s a very hilly property and the kayakS are a hike down hill and a little rough getting it back up the hill. The footing is slippery and you have to be in decent shape to carry it up hill. They do have a loud protection dog that’s super sweet but does bark all night long and be ready for a 530am rooster wake up. This is a place for waking up, going out and being in nature a little bit. Quiet, out of the way and actually had cell service too:) Lots of amenities provided with the grill, eggs, propane, chairs and such :) Cool outdoor shower:) Thanks Jeremy

Jeremy was a great host! Clear communication. Easy directions. The fresh chicken eggs were a nice touch! The family enjoyed hanging out at the water and kayaking. The drive down can be a bit steep and tight in certain areas, but our group had no issues. Plenty of space to accommodate the whole group.

Camping with Juno

We loved the area! The view of the lake from our campsite was simply wonderful. We had Juno visit us, which our family loved. The animals were all great and friendly. Jeremy and his family were welcoming and quickly responded to any requests. The walk to the lake was very steep, so be prepared to hike back up. I’d say that 4wD is necessary to get to our campground. Otherwise it was amazing. Will definitely try to come back!

We had a great time at this peaceful and unique spot near New Melones Lake. Our group of about 10 stayed in early July, and while temps hit around 100°, the lake was an awesome place to cool off. It’s about a 15–20 minute walk from the treehouse, and the water is clean, quiet, and great for fishing—we even caught one! The treehouse cabin sits at the top of the hill with a great deck, good sleeping setup, and absolutely amazing views in every direction. The outdoor kitchen and private shower were big highlights. Everything was clean and well-stocked, including the porta-potty. We especially enjoyed the fresh eggs from the chickens—perfect for breakfast. The kids had a blast exploring and loved the friendly dogs and goats around the property. The only real challenge was the steep hill between the treehouse and the kitchen/shower area. The kids took a few spills, and it was a bit tough for the older folks—just something to keep in mind if you’ve got mobility concerns. Overall, this is a really cool and relaxing spot with a great mix of nature and comfort. Clearly run with care by a thoughtful local family. Would definitely recommend for a fun and memorable getaway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cabin. All of the animals and friendly hosts made it even more of a special spot. We saw a bobcat, deer, fox, bats, lizards and of course the resident horses, goats, sheep, chickens, and our favorite the guardian pups. It was hot during our stay, so the lake was a treat! The outdoor shower helped us stay wet/cool too. The fresh eggs for breakfast were a bonus. We had a very peaceful vacation. Thank you!!
