Looking for a friendly basecamp? Sylvan Harbor is a family owned and operated camp that offers RV and tent sites, cabins and vintage campers. The camp is basic and functional. Most sites are narrow, offer no privacy, and are challenging to park in. Lodging options are rustic, cozy, and clean, and are also surrounded by RVs during the summer. The perimeter of the park is lined with tall trees. Travelers of all types are welcome year-round, and we cater to fisherman staying monthly in the summer. Thanks for considering our camp!

The Creek Site is secluded near the bank of Martin Creek. This site is nestled amongst tall redwoods, and verdant ferns and rhododendrons. There is plenty of space for a vehicle and a large (10x10 feet) tent. Be aware that from October to May the site is very damp/wet because of rain.

Welcome to our charming vintage camper, where retro meets basic comfort. Tucked away in an RV camp, this snug little camper is great for couples, small families and friends seeking a unique getaway. Upgrade from a tent and enjoy the convenience of some home-like amenities all while surrounded by the redwoods and not far from the beach. The camper provides sleeping for 2 adults and 2 youth at a maximum. There is a small kitchenette with sink, mini-fridge, microwave, heater, and bbq grill, but no bathroom. Common, private restrooms and showers are a short walk away.

this was an incredible spot. it’s tucked into the trees and right by a sweet creek, and very private from the rest of the rv park, which was quiet and peaceful the whole time we were there. it’s about an hour from the best redwood spots and incredibly reasonably priced. we’d recommend it to anyone car or tent camping!

I enjoyed camping at Sylvan Harbor. The bathrooms and showers are super convenient. Affordable and just what I needed. Beautiful area. Hearing the creak from our campsite made this stay very special.

The best rest for a tired traveler
Vintage Trillium Camper
The dreamiest coastal town of Trinidad nearby & such a surprise on our journey around California - we had never even heard of this town before & just happened to stop in for a day on our journey to the Redwoods, before making our way back home North Carolina. With the news being so dark & our husbands flying back home just two days before we made it here, we were a little on edge & just wanted to feel safe. We booked extremely last minute & Sean wasted no time preparing a place for us to stay for the night. Upon arriving at this campground, we were warmly welcomed by the sound of children riding bikes, grills being fired up, & scripture verses around every corner.. It didn’t take long for our nerves to settle & rest to kick in. God has a funny way of reminding us that He’s all around.

Amazing value spot near redwoods
Vintage Trillium Camper
Friendly hosts and easy check in. Very nice little camper, in a pleasant setting. Tremendous value given how close this is to so many amazing sites along the coast. There are also multiple good local restaurants in Trinidad that we enjoyed.
