Nearly four acres close to town and amenities, yet quiet and secluded. Away from any major roads and on quiet nights, the fog horn from the Big River buoy can be heard. Wildlife on the property include piliated woodpeckers, deer, raccoons, jack rabbits, bears (keep your trash and food inside!), mountain lions, foxes, and of course, our resident ravens. Wild huckleberries and rhododendrons are abundant among the redwoods and fir. A beautiful spot to spend the night!

Woods Tent Site

Cozy campsite, close to town - love

An amazing location, very close to the village of Mendocino so perfect if you want to camp & explore the town. The entire property is so well maintained, you can tell the owners put a lot of thought & intention into the creation of the campsites. The woods tent site is secluded, and it feels very private but only a short walk to the car for our supplies. They have a campfire wood pile neatly set up so you can have a fire at the end of a long day of exploring. The outhouse is well built & clean and private. Lots of nature singing you to sleep & shaking you out of your tent in the morning. We saw a fox one morning & that made my day. We personally spent a lot of time off property during the day but I would feel comfortable lounging by the campsite all day. Highly recommend this place - we will be returning for our next Mendocino camping adventure. Thank you!!

Fisherman's Shack

Wonderful host and spot!

The Fisherman's Shack was so great, and the host, Molly was even better! One of our motorcycles broke down and Molly was very gracious and loaned us a wagon to use to haul our stuff in from up the road. She also let us stay way past our checkout time while we waited for a tow truck. She was very understanding and offered to help in any way she could. As for the camping site, it was absolutely perfect! Very private! We especially loved having the private pit toilet. The provided firewood was also very useful! The bed in the shack was comfortable, and the bedding we requested was clean and warm! We will definitely be back!

I love how close we were to the main stop in mendocino and that the walk from the parking spot to our site wasn't far but it felt very secluded. it was such a bonus that they provide fire wood and the outhouse was very clean, i'm sad we had to leave early but overall our stay was great

Charming campsite

What a charming little campsite! Be careful coming in if you have a low clearance vehicle but it is certainly doable. We saw a fox in the morning!

Perfect Stay

Wonderful stay. Molly came out and greeted us and let us know we can ask any questions and she was happy to help. It was a really nice touch. The campground is as described. Close to everything. We really enjoyed the site!
