If you’re looking for a quiet getaway with a few close friends or your family, this option is for you. Tucked in along the South Fork of the American River, this beautiful campsite features picnic benches, a propane fire pit with propane included (fire pits help prevent wildfires), and a prep table for fixing up those tasty fireside meals in group sites. Guests also have access to shared bathroom facilities (and yes, there are showers!), volleyball, ping pong, communal benches, a sink and dishwashing station, and a common swimming area along the river. Most sites are within a very short walking distance to the banks of the South Fork of the American River, this place is ideal for anyone interested in experiencing the beauty of the foothills and the rush of the river. We offer both tent and RV sites. Each RV site includes its own picnic table, water and 30Amp power hookups. Guests will also have access to our volleyball court, ping pong, communal benches, and a common area with a sink and dishwashing station. Additionally, you can access the swim area and go for a dip to cool off on a hot day. We offer toilets, showers, trash disposal, potable water and more depending on the site you chose. Leashed pets 40 pounds or less are allowed as well. River access is only a couple hundred feet from the site. Tucked in along the South Fork of the American River, this beautiful campsite features picnic benches, a propane fire pit with propane included (fire pits help prevent wildfires), and a canopy to keep you cool on those hot days. Please bring you're own propane grill as one is not provided (charcoal not allowed). This site is very private and close to the river so please use caution with young kids. Parking for this site is about 100 yards away so a hand cart is provided for bring gear down to campsite.  Guests also have access to shared bathroom facilities (and yes, there are showers!), volleyball, ping pong, communal benches, a  communal sink and dishwashing station, and a common swimming area along the river. Wonderful camp ground. Spread out, quiet, and great amenities. Nice river access to. Also a very responsive host. We were a group of rafters and were able to put in at the campsite. That allowed us to skip the flat section and drop into the gorge. Might stay there again soon

We loved the River site! We had a lovely couple of days cooling off in the water and enjoying the beautiful land at Rock n Cove. It was fun having the stronger current during the afternoon for adventurous swimming, and calmer water in the warm evenings when the whitewater rafter dam stopped the flow for the day. The river is clear and the cool temperature perfectly refreshing but warm enough to stay in the water for hours. If I went back I’d bring my own camping wagon to haul gear to the site—the hand cart they had available wasn’t as convenient as a wagon, with no sides so stuff kept falling off on the way to our site, but that’s a minor detail. Kris was delightful to chat with, the river is amazing, there was a shade structure over our site, and we had a great time. 5 stars.

The area was well kept, and the amenities were accessible. Hilltop site had many areas to set our tents. And the view of the stars was incredible, we saw 3 shooting stars!. Only thing I would’ve liked is that where the tents can be to trim off some of the branches to prevent them from falling over the tents and plus it gives a nice view of the stars if left open.

Our group of five stayed at the Moe RV site and had a fantastic experience. We brought two mid-sized tents and easily set them up on the hilltop area, which offered plenty of shade throughout the day. There was enough space for both a compact car and a mid-sized truck, with plenty of room left over to move around comfortably. The water spout was convenient and was located right next to the rv hookup. The propane fire pit was a great feature and added to the overall camping experience. The restroom facilities, which included three toilets and two showers, were about a two-minute walk away down the road and up a small hill. Despite there being only two showers, we never encountered any lines and found them available whenever we went. The beach and river access were about a five-minute walk from the campsite. We loaded our gear into a wagon and had no trouble transporting everything. When we arrived around 11:00 a.m., three other families were already there, but there was still plenty of room for our group to set up a canopy and several chairs. The hosts were incredibly friendly and responsive, answering all of our questions promptly through Hipcamp and making the entire experience smooth and welcoming. Overall, the site was spacious, convenient, and well-equipped, making for a memorable and enjoyable weekend. We will be back again 🏕️!

We had a wonderful stay. The sites were clean, level, and nicely spaced so it never felt crowded. The toilets and showers were clean and well maintained. Our site 'Larry' had plenty of room for our setup, good shade, and easy access to water and power. The camp host Kris was amazing, and genuinely care about making sure we were comfortable. We also loved how quiet it was at night. Last but not least, the bathroom jokes on the walls were hilarious. We’d absolutely stay here again.

This place is great! Easy to get to, super quiet, super clean, and very peaceful. The showers and toilets are very close to the full hookup sites and the river is maybe a 3 minute walk. When you walk down to the little beach at the river you can hang out and watch rafters, beavers, and geese cruise by. There are two group tent sites that were empty when we were there but they look super fun and have water and shade. For the full hookup sites, there are only three and one of them is pretty far from the other two. Even when all full there’s plenty of privacy. Will be back.

We loved this place! We went to the River site and it is exactly what we wanted. Heads up there is a bit of a trek to get your things there but listening to the river while you sleep is absolutely worth it. 10/10 Met the camp hosts our last morning and they were equally amazing. I’m going to reserve our next trip as soon as I’m done writing this!

We loved this camp ground. Camp sites we clean and well maintained. Spaced far enough to get some privacy. Short walk to the river. Showers and bathrooms were clean and well stocked. And the provided propane fire pit was a nice touch as well.

As someone who loves camping it’s always so hard to get reservations at public parks. So thankful to Hipcamp and Kris for this site. We had a river view with a lovely public beach steps away. I got to wash my face in fresh river water in the morning. Kris’ husband checked up on us and made sure we had enough propane for the gas fire pit. It was a lovely stay and I hope I get to return!!

We had a great one night stay at RockNWater Cove Camping! We stayed in Curley w/ an RV but definitely want to return to camp at one of the tent spots. The hosts, Kris and her husband, were super nice and answered lots of questions we had. The river access is really pretty w/ a nice beach area. Plusses are flush toilets, showers, propane fire pits with propane provided, potable water and electric hook ups. Looking forward to going back next summer!

Fantastic site! Great for a big group. Amenities were great- clean & lots of bathrooms. Sink & picnic tables at our site. The river was near by but far enough away we didn’t have to dash after our kids constantly. Both hosts were lovely.
