If you’re looking for a quiet getaway with a few close friends or your family, this option is for you. Tucked in along the South Fork of the American River, this beautiful campsite features picnic benches, a propane fire pit with propane included (fire pits help prevent wildfires), and a prep table for fixing up those tasty fireside meals. Guests also have access to shared bathroom facilities (and yes, there are showers!), volleyball, ping pong, communal benches, a sink and dishwashing station, and a common swimming area along the river. Most sites are within a very short walking distance to the banks of the South Fork of the American River, this place is ideal for anyone interested in experiencing the beauty of the foothills and the rush of the river. We offer both tent and RV sites. Each RV site includes its own picnic table, water and 30Amp power hookups. Guests will also have access to our volleyball court, ping pong, communal benches, and a common area with a sink and dishwashing station. Additionally, you can access the swim area and go for a dip to cool off on a hot day. If you're looking to steal some time away to reconnect and camp, this is the place for you. People of all ages can camp out, swim, and play. We offer toilets, showers, trash disposal, potable water and more depending on the site you chose. Leashed pets 45 pounds or less are allowed as well. Enjoy biking, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, paddling, climbing, swimming, whitewater rafting, and wildlife watching all nearby, or on site.

Moe RV Site

Golden Getaway

My Dad and I have turned this stunning location into our annual camping getaway for the past two years. While we don’t typically camp at the same grounds twice in a row, this place holds a special charm. We have absolutely fallen in love with this camp and the surrounding area. Nestled by the American River and close to Coloma, the site of California’s first gold discovery, it offers a unique blend of history and natural beauty. The private showers are a perfect touch after a day of adventure, and especially great before heading home. Kris and Paul are exceptional hosts who maintain the grounds beautifully. Thank you for sharing this wonderful property with us. Cheers! See you next year! : )

Riverside Tent Site

Great tent camping site! on river

We loved tent camping at the river tent site. We were so close to the water, it was awesome. My two daughters had so much fun exploring and playing at the beach. Paul came and said hello the first afternoon we got there and gave us his number in case we needed anything. We loved that we weren’t right next to anyone else while camping, it’s nice that the tent sites aren’t super close to each other. One thing to note, you don’t get to park next to your site, so bring a wagon, or use one of the wagons available from Kris and Paul. We loved it so much and can’t wait to bring back our kids next summer!!

Moe RV Site

Everything we would have hoped for!

This is a real gem and we are so glad we discovered it! Had no issues with the hookups and the site was super clean upon arrival. Really felt like the hosts were accessible if we needed, but we didn’t… everything was perfect. Bathrooms and showers were clean, and the river access was great. We loved our time here and will be back. My only recommendation would be to post a sign for all campers to respect the fact that there’s only one small beach, and to please not set up right on the beach, so that others can enter the water.

Riverside Tent Site

Took my two young boys there this September and we absolutely loved it. Site was beautiful and very clean. Already booked it again for next summer!
