The area is very peaceful, and the views from the camp site are stunning. Photos don't do it justice. They provide lots of open space at the site and a nice setup to enjoy. The site was easy to find from their instructions and signage. We would definitely stay again. A word of caution to RVers: Make sure your stuff is well secured. We thought we had our rig dialed in, but found most of our cabinet contents on the floor once we got to the site.

Best sunset near SLO

One of the best views I've had from a hip camp site. My wife and I loved the "hidden in plain sight" aspect of this campground! Would definitely recommend.

Amazing views atop The Ridge. Great spot for hanging out, hiking and mtn. biking. Hosts are fantastic and it was so fun meeting the farm animals!

We had a great time tent camping on Karina and Chris’s ranch! Karina was super responsive and friendly, and the facilities were convenient and really well maintained. The views were beautiful and the site was cozy and secluded.

This location has outstanding views! The campsite, Puri, is nice and private, currently at the end of the established camps so we had lots of space and took an amazing hike up the hill from the campsite for even more amazing views of San Luis Obispo and the surrounding hills. Karina and Chris provided so many thoughtful perks: trashcan, fresh water, level campsite, picnic table, fire ring, firewood all at the site. Composting toilets in just the right spot, my personal favorite. Karina was amazing with communication. I felt very safe. Additionally in the morning a took a great walk up the main road that the ranch is on and that again provided stunning views.

This was my third time staying here, and it keeps delivering every time. Came with a group of 6 friends on our way up from LA to Big Sur, and it’s such a solid, convenient stop—especially near Morro Bay. The property is spacious and private, so it feels like you have your own area without dealing with neighbors. It’s gated, clean, and super easy to settle into. Perfect for car camping—plenty of room to park, spread out, and hang. Also dog-friendly, which makes it even better. Whether you’re in a tent, RV, or just pulling up with your car, it works. I keep coming back for a reason. Would definitely stay here again.

Karina and Chris were very responsive and friendly! The campsite was easy to get to, and beautiful views! The lookout was a five minute walk up the mountain and the sunrise and sunset were unbelievable. It was a bonus how close the site was to downtown slo!

Spectacular views

We had a lovely time camping on Karina & Chris’s property. The sight was well maintained, private, and the views were spectacular. We really enjoyed a hike right from our campsite along the ridge. We will definitely come back to camp here again. 1 small negative, but certainly not a deal breaker, there was a dog barking a lot while we were there. Not sure if he’s the owners or a neighbors, but it got a bit annoying. Other than that, a fantastic place to camp.

We booked several hours before our actual stay and Karina was very responsive to our request. The directions were clear and well communicated. Karina checked on us throughout our stay. The property is beautiful and we enjoyed a quiet arrival and morning sitting in the sun overlooking the views of the Pacific and SLO. We would highly recommend staying at Karina and Chris’s. We hope to return very soon.

Truly stunning location, I only managed to stay one night but can’t wait to return for longer! The views are incredible, the facilities all work well including a hot shower with a little hike to get to it. Karina & Chris were very communicative and helpful.

We really enjoyed staying at this property and would recommend it. The access to a hot shower was very nice! We really enjoyed this campsite as it was tucked away from the road, so there was privacy. Karina and Chris are amazing hosts. They checked in with us to provide all necessary details about staying on the property. There was also a storm that came in during our stay and they reached out to us to keep us informed and ensure that we made the proper arrangements at our site to stay safe through our stay.

Our hosts were kind enough to upgrade our campsite and recommend a place to setup the tent to avoid getting wet in the nighttime fog. We loved meeting the sheep’s and pigs and the views were incredible!

The Range was perfect, with beautiful views and a really peaceful feel. It was great meeting their dog Ria and saying hi to the farm animals. My dogs were so happy to have space to run around and just be dogs. Karina was very accommodating and easy to talk to, which made everything even better. It was pretty windy during my stay, but overall a really nice experience and a place I’d happily return to!

This was my first-ever camping trip, and this campsite was absolutely wonderful! It offered truly spectacular views, featuring a unique panorama of both distant San Luis Obispo lights and surrounding mountains. The site felt private and secluded, providing a peaceful escape. For convenience, access to both water and clean toilet facilities was excellent. This is a genuinely nice and comfortable campsite that I highly recommend, especially for a memorable first-time experience.

Amazing hosts! Chris went out of his way to bring me wood and kindling for a fire, gave me a tour of the ranch where I got to meet the animals, and was very responsive via text when I had questions. The site was great and had everything you would need (picnic table, fire pit with poker, good trees to set up a hammock). The view from the top of the property is unbelievable during the day and at sunset!
