We loved visiting Vicki's land! The tent was a perfect size for my husband, dog, and I. The grounds had beautiful views, trails, and the other camping sites well spaced out. I would definitely recommend camping here and would love to return again soon!

Camping at Harrison Serenity Ranch
This place was exactly what it says it is, the views are stunning, and there is lots to explore. Perfect place if you have a doggie who needs to run around as well. Vicki is super welcoming and friendly, and leaves you be while you are camping. Bringing a bundle is a good idea, but you can always find food nearby to keep the fires going. Made it up there in my Corolla which is really low to the ground. Just make sure you are paying attention to the road if you have a low car like mine, because there’s a lot of spots you can bottom out but there is always a way around them. If they are booked up you will see and hear the other campers around you. Overall a really good vibe and would reccomend to anyone. A little cold up there so layer up.

Spent two nights and it was a great time! Perfect spot if you want to go on hikes up Palomar mountain, and staff was great too. 10/10 would recommend.

Camping at Vicki's was a great experience as a first time camper. Got to have see beautiful views, have peace, and a little bit hiking with the dogs alongside. Overall great place for pitching a tent and enjoying the weekend.

The dirt road up to the ranch was slightly narrow at some points but still an easy drive up. Very peaceful and calm once we settled into our campground. Vicki was very welcoming and friendly as well as the other hosts. We will definitely plan a second trip back soon!

This is our 2nd time here! We have gone at least once a year. We have loved it every time! Vicki is so nice and provided us with a great, private campsite. Plus, her famous greeter, Solo (dog), was friendly! The campsite has portal toilets, trash cans, and showers. The weather was 50-70 degrees and no wind—beautiful views of the mountains and the land. Plus, they allow campfires, which make our cold nights more bearable! We went hiking in Palomar Mountain State Park, which had many trails!

This was a really nice getaway with amazing views! Vicki is awesome and so accommodating. She helps you find a good spot when you get there so if you want the most options, get in as close to check in as possible. It is off grid so make sure you’re prepared with gear cuz no electricity. I don’t know if this is normal, but temps changed drastically for us during the day. Dropped probably 30 degrees at night. We camped mid January and were in shorts in the day but would’ve frozen at night if we didn’t bring our own heaters. Cell service works but is a bit weak. Road up the mountain is narrow, bumpy, and sometimes steep. Just to keep in mind if bringing trailers. But great trip if you want beautiful Mountain View’s!

First things first, the drive up is not what people think. The road up is easy even with a 2WD vehicle. My friends Mazda 3 made it up easily so do not worry about making it to the campsite. The view from the site is amazing and the area is very quiet. The host Vicki is an amazing person and is always willing to share info about the property and its history. Overall the spot is great and would definitely recommend this site to friends and family! Also Solo (the dog) comes to your campsite to make sure everything is in order (He goes for snacks and he’s very friendly).

It was a great experience, the view was very nice. I only wish the trees weren’t blocking it as much. Also the dirt road up there is very tight and narrow. It’d be a good idea to have a vehicle with higher ground clearance and good traction on tires. I aired down my tires on the way down and it was way smoother. But I would recommend, Vicki was very nice and welcoming. Only regret is I didn’t get to meet the pig up close.

Awesome place to unplug into nature!
The welcoming presence of Vicki and her staff was memorable.
Appreciated the small things:
- campsite with chairs & bench
- firepit + shovel
- clean facilities to wash up in.
This space is perfect for a car/tent camping trip, very nice views of sunrise/set, and convenient proximity to Palomar County Park. Reading up and speaking with Vicki, very interesting history to this ancient land as well, please check it out!

Vicki and her daughter were so sweet and welcoming! We had the most peaceful time and the weather was pretty great for going in December. The drive up the mountain was a bit tricky because we didn’t know what to expect, but it was much faster and easier on the way down (I have a ford fusion and my car did great!). There are restrooms and showers but they are a bit far from most of the sites, there was a porta potty close by tho:)

My gf and I had the best time on Vicki’s land for thanksgiving weekend. It was such a treat to have amenities like a sink with warm water and flushing toilets. the land is stunning with views from every corner and fun hiking trails throughout the mountain. vicki has such great energy and made sure to welcome everyone. pumba the pig is so friendly and WILL eat anything left unguarded at night 🤭 so make sure to treat your trash just like any bear camping setting. thanks again vicki, we hope to come back some day!

Overall the location was nice, not too far from the well known Palomar mountain hikes. The property is nice and they have outdoor and indoor showers. Most things were as specified but our tent was not like what was shown in the pictures. We were promised a deck with deck chairs to sit and hang out and we only had a bench on the far side of the tent with no view because it was a temporary setup due to the original spot being destroyed by a storm. The lantern in the room also didn't work either.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing time at Harrison Serenity Ranch. From the moment we arrived, Vicki welcomed us with so much kindness and made us feel right at home. The property is absolutely beautiful — the views are unbelievable, especially at sunset, and the whole place has a peaceful, secluded vibe that’s perfect for getting away from everything.
We also loved meeting the resident pig, who was surprisingly friendly and made the stay even more memorable! The campground was clean, quiet, and thoughtfully set up, and you can tell the hosts genuinely care about the land and the experience they provide.
Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing, unique getaway. We’ll definitely be back!

We had an amazing time glamping at Vicki’s. The stars were amazing, the forest calming, and we loved the yoga deck. Vicki was easy to communicate with and very helpful. The land is magical!
The beds were super comfy and my young children and older dog really enjoyed themselves.
Amazing adventure just over an hour away from home.
Warning- we did use our 4 wheel drive to get around certain areas (and we loved it). Not the place to drive a lowriding car.
We will most definitely be back!

The camp was not as advertised obviously pictures make it look a lot nicer than it is the facilities that I was able to use was a porta potty. There was no flushing toilet. No shower made available to me. Those were things that were described as what was available so my experience was not very good.

My gf and I loved tent camping at Vickis land! Amazing views and it felt like we had the whole campsite to ourselves. It was more then we expected. PERFECT overall, Vicki is super friendly and very helpful. Her lovely dogs were cute and respectful. We will definitely book again, we felt like we were in the clouds. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

We only stayed one night and it was vey nice. We have a 20 foot camper van and it made it up the dirt mountain road good and found a nice camp spot!

Great place for a weekend away from the city with a little history mixed in. Even better views and our host, Vicki, was very welcoming and fun to have a chat with during a quiet Saturday night. If you don’t have a 4x4, recommend taking the back road from Palomar Mountain down to the campsite.

I was greeted into the camp as I pulled up. Vicki was there to help get me situated. I followed, in my truck, to my camp site. I took the off-road site since my truck is 4x4. It was also the furthest away from other campers. I went alone to get away and get unplugged. The site is beautiful with stunning sunsets. I was ablw to unwind and get away! My site cam with a shovel for my camp fire and two lounge chairs. Bathrooms and showers were close by and clean and warm water for the shower! The campgrounds have a historic background, Nate Harrison had a homestead here and these are native lands, whcih I couldnt find much info on but will look up for I do plan on visiting more often. I will be back with family and friends and solo too! Every person either camping or working was very kind and helpful!

This is an awesome place--high above North San Diego county, surrounded by trees and spacious enough to feel away from it all. We had a great time camping with our 3-year-old and Vicki was super helpful throughout our stay. We highly recommend coming to stay at her ranch.
