The Bungalow
Generally, the place is as described. And if you are on travel looking for some amenities and a much better place than a motel, this is really nice. But it has the feel of someones backyard more than any type of camping. It is a rural area, but it's pretty densely populated with houses. The gate situation is pretty absurd. You have to buzz in, but they aren't always home. So you just sit there blocking the gate until someone eelse arrives and uncomfortably gives you the passcode because you can't get your car out of the way anyway. This needs a better solution.

We really enjoyed our stay here for a family campout. The bungalow was very comfortable and there were lots of things for kids to do (age 7 through teenagers were entertained). Outdoor kitchen and eating area was great too! It was very quiet and peaceful, and pretty close to beaches and town. The place was thoughtfully set up with lots of great little details. Recommend!

We were looking for a private campsite just for our two families, and this place was absolutely perfect. It was quiet, peaceful, and had everything we needed. There were plenty of things to keep the kids entertained, too. Highly recommended!

My extended family enjoyed our weekend camping. The dining pavillion worked out great for group meals and games, and the yard was full of activities for the kids (swing set, trampoline) in addition to the fun stuff we brought. Even our dog had so much fun relaxing off leash, he didn't want to get in the car when it was time to leave. We did unexpectedly have to use a porta-potty (bathroom in the bungalow had a problem?) so if that's a dealbreaker for your group, keep that in mind.

Really fun site! The indoor bungalow was clean, the patio was perfect for barbecuing and hanging out, and there were so many fun activities on site.

Great short stay at the bungalow! Nice to have some of the features of camping but some creature comforts as well. Place seems really well set up for kids/families. Will bring my daughter next time and maybe another family too! Just the right distance from civilization to get away from it without being overly burdensome. Great hosting and location, would def come back!

This place was amazing!!!!!! Loved all the little extra things to do and the attention to detail by the host. The little area for the campfire was also just amazing.
Totally awesome experience, but be warned: you will make wonderful lifelong memories if you stay here :).

Our family of four (two adults, a six-year-old, and a nine-month-old) had an absolutely wonderful stay! Every day, my older son asked when we could come back and stay for a whole week, which speaks volumes. This place is truly amazing. The host provided clear instructions and responded quickly to any questions we had. The location is perfect - an easy drive from San Jose and a short hop to Santa Cruz, yet tucked away in the forest for complete privacy.
There were so many amenities and things to do on the property that our six-year-old was never bored. He loved the treehouse, trampoline, huge green lawn, playground with swings and climbing structures, mini golf, basketball hoop, and more! Inside the bungalow, we found everything we needed for a perfect stay. The huge outdoor kitchen with a grill and a fire pit area was a fantastic bonus. We even opted for the s'mores extra, which was a huge hit with our son. Highly recommend this place - we can't wait to go back!

Such a great spot and so easy for a weekend getaway with kids. We has such a relaxing time with the kids running around on the large grassy yard. Spend one of the days at a nearby beach which was so easy to get to.

Awesome site in the remote mountains of Santa Cruz, but close enough to local restaurants/shops and more.
Our group of 11 had a great time at Erica-Ann's site. Check in instructions were super clear, and everything was as described. Although the site has a ton of amenities for kids, our group of adults loved it as well!
The kitchen is well stocked as well, making cooking and storing food a breeze.
We hope to stay again in the near future, thanks again!

Hands down a great family venue! EA was flexible and obviously take great care of the place, as do her two dogs who are very sweet. The place is secluded but within 15 minutes of town. A perfect spot and a birthday weekend to remember.

Me husband & I looked for a private, wooded piece of serenity in Soquel. We found that & more staying at Erica & families private bungalow. Plenty of activities available. Hubby & I played a little putt putt contest on the patio. Made a visit in the awesome kids tree house. Viewed the stars at night. It was my 48th Bday & she made it special with some treats & a gorgeous welcome sign. My husband made me an amazing dinner on the grill outside. They had everything you need and more, just pack food and you’re all set. It was a perfect way to celebrate! My favorite part was the outdoor shower & it was such a peaceful place for an afternoon nap. I could go on & on with all the amenities they have. We stayed at the Bungalow with our river rafting staff and it was perfect for our group!! So many fun things to do - everything from a trampoline to mini golf to a fire pit and more!! There are so many small touches like small fairy houses that my toddler loved playing with. The amenities were great - really nice outdoor shower, wi fi, and phone charger. The outdoor kitchen was fantastic. Erica Ann was so responsive and checked in on us a few times and made sure we had everything we needed. It felt very peaceful tucked away in the redwoods while being a short drive away to the beach or town. I would 100% recommend this spot to others, especially groups!

We loved our camping experience at the bungalow on Erica’s land! The place for our group was perfect for our company retreat. There was a lot of fun activities to do at the property and it was a great experience for us coming from a much hotter location. We played putt, putt, climbed ropes, played frisbee, played football, and other yard games.
Santa Cruz is about 15 to 20 minutes away, and is nestled in the redwood forest. Getting past the gate off of Nacasio rd, Was straightforward with the instructions, And there’s enough information to find your way to the site. We did have a large vehicle that made it to the top of the steep paved road. I wouldn’t recommend over 25 feet for a rig, Probably not a trailer.
Erica Was very responsive, And went out of her way several times to make sure that we had everything we needed. We will probably come here again, either just individual groups or possibly another company hoedown. 🏕️👍🏄♂️🌊👍

My friends and I had such an amazing time staying at Erica-Ann’s place. It’s in the absolute perfect location tucked away in the redwoods, with the city and beach only a 15 minute drive away! There are endless activities on the property and nearby, and Erica-Ann was extremely sweet and helpful to us during our stay. I spent my birthday here and I definitely could not have asked for a better time. Thank you Erica-Ann!! We will be back!

Ann was a fabulous host- friendly and available as needed, quick to respond to texts and questions and needs. We appreciated the nice touches such as flowers for the table and bubbles for the kids. And what a place it was for kids! So many fun things to do- a trampoline, a tiny golf green, play structure, tree house and space to wiggle and run. The outdoor kitchen and covered dining area were perfect for cooking and eating together, with everything we needed. And it was a treat to be able to build a fire in the pit and make s'mores. Having an indoor space made it easy for the baby to sleep. The adults appreciated the charming outdoor shower with nice hot water. We did use a bug tent to keep bees away while eating and that worked well. The setting is beautiful, lots of trees and shade as needed. We recommend this place heartily and wish anyone who makes this a destination a lovely trip. Thanks Erica-Ann!

Erica-Ann is a helpful, communicative host. Check in and out super easy. The space is incredibly peaceful, which is exactly what I wanted. Love the outdoor shower, the bed in cabin very comfortable, and the variety of swinging benches sublime! The only disappointment were the hiking trails, which were inaccessible because of major overgrowth (not simply 'wild' as mentioned in the listing). I was there solo and definitely recommend it as a solo retreat, but it's clearly a fun space for a group as well.

My crew really enjoyed staying on Erica-Anne’s property. It is tucked into a quiet and private residential hideaway. Directions were clear and Erica greeted us as we arrived.
There was plenty to do, even in the immediate camp area. The weather was perfect and our kids played hard! They especially loved the tree house and trampoline.
The bungalow was well equipped with dining ware and the basics for preparing food inside or outside in the covered BBQ/kitchenette area.
Thank you Erica for checking in with us and hosting our rowdy bunch!
