A perfect spot to stay to explore the Mount Shasta area. Gorgeous unobstructed view of the mountain. It was quiet and peaceful, and I felt safe as a solo traveler.

Patrice’s land is so beautiful and spacious. My family and I enjoyed the stars, and appreciated Patrice’s kindness and quick/great communication. Would definitely recommend and come back to stay longer!

Patrice’s campsite is as described by others and in the hip camp listing. It sits in the middle of a large piece of property just past the town of Weed off Highway 97. We liked this location and site. We pitched our tent on flat ground that felt remote, quiet, and off the beaten path. Campsite 3 had a great view of Mt. Shasta, though when we were there it was covered in clouds. You should be aware that the Porta-potty feels like a long walk from the site (100-200 yards). Patrice is super responsive and will make sure you have everything you need.

Everything about Patrice’s land she shares is special.
It is close to the main road without feeling close to it.
Patrice was readily available when I got to the gate and I had not seen the text with the gate code. She answered right away and got me in the gate.
The views are stunning and then there is Mt. Shasta too.

Patrice’s hipcamp was lovely. We got the Chi Gong add-on which was such a fun learning experience. The sites aren’t numbered so finding our spot was a little tricky, but we had a wonderful time and I would 100% recommend. A nice private spot on a holiday weekend— tough to find.

We had a poor night of sleep. We pulled into the campsite after dark around 10pm and it was very difficult to tell where each site was- someone was in ours (#3) so we posted up on site two. There was no numbers on the sites. About an hour later someone else drove around and around looking for their site, coming to wake us to ask for help. About an hour after that, the same ordeal with someone new. Each car created lots of dust and noise. Additionally the owners dogs barked, without exaggeration, all night long. The porta potty was medium clean but located directly next to someone’s tent, making it awkward to go to the bathroom. I thought it was kind of wild that showers are listed as an amenity but the fine print said it was a garden hose you could spritz yourself with. $60 is a steep price to pay for a site without no water, no convenient bathroom, no trash, little privacy, and lots of noise.

Gorgeous views of Mt. Shasta on beautiful private land! I stayed at site #3 and enjoyed that it was a bit separated from the rest of the site and had stunning unobstructed views. It was easy to find the location and access the site. No facilities other than a porta potty but it was clean. I would definitely recommend, perfect location to stop for a night along the 5 or to explore Shasta from. I would prefer this over staying on the mountain itself.

The kindest most genuine and caring host. Very sweet with great communication. Slightly tricky spot to get to, just make sure you clearly read the direction/ instructions. One of the coolest sites I’ve had the pleasure to stay at. The views are really that amazing. You’ll want to spent the night outside rather than in your tent. And the extra add ons are definitely a plus. My mom did the acupuncture to help with an injury that happened during our road trip and was damn near miraculously healed. And I participated in a morning session learning about and working with horses. 10/10 recommend this spot.

We had a wonderful stay at Juniper Spur Ranch! 🌅 The views were incredible and the sunsets were absolutely breathtaking. The directions Patrice provided were spot-on and essential for finding the campsite — we were glad we had them.
Once we arrived, the atmosphere was quiet, peaceful, and everything we had hoped for. From site #3, we could see the horses in the distance, which was such a lovely touch to the scenery.
Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a serene, scenic place to camp!

Beautiful view but our campsite was pretty close to horses that made noises late at night and early in the morning. If you’re not used to horses, this could be a little bit bothersome.

This was the perfect first stop on our road trip! We arrived at sunset to awesome views of Mt Shasta and the surrounding area. It was easy to find and Patrice was super responsive and helpful. The stars were incredible at night and it was just an amazing place. We’d love to come back!

My first Hipcamp! Like camping on the side of Kilamanjaro hahaha. No shade and can be very windy. The hosts trailer is pretty close but it still feels private. 360 degrees of views for sunset and we got a full moonrise right out of the mountain! Made for a really magical experience. Highly recommend.

Outstanding stay in a beautiful area! I’ve slept hundreds of nights out, and I’ll say this was the best sunset I’ve ever seen. A must stay!

The camp site was exactly as advertised. It was an unbeatable view to be sure. However, we wouldn’t have wanted to stay more than just a stopover. It was incredibly hot, and the bugs were intense. There is no shade, so bring something to create shade with you. The night sky was probably the most beautiful I have ever seen. The host kept to herself and it was very private.

Easy to find, great view of Mt. Shasta and the surrounding area. No shade so bring your own or plan accordingly. The valley can get very hot in the summer during the day, we sheltered in the nearby town of Weed until the temperatures and sun went down. We were just passing through this time, but would definitely love to try some of the experiences offered by Patrice and the horses! Would recommend! Aim to camp in the fall/spring season when it's not so hot/dry so you can enjoy a campfire and get the full experience.

We loved everything about our stay at Patrice’s ranch! Beautiful setting, easy to get to, amazing views, and wonderful visit with her horses!
We highly recommend people who love wide open spaces and getting away from it all to stay at her ranch.
We were in Site #1, right next to the horses.
Definitely want to go back!
