cool but the cabin was super warm and cozy! water heated up fast in the shower and ken provided ample drinking water in a few tanks. air was crisp and views were beautiful

Eagles Nest - perfect for Baby Moon

Ken’s Eagles Nest was the perfect retreat for our babymoon. The cabin was exceptionally cozy and stocked with thoughtful amenities that truly exceeded our expectations — a clean composting toilet, a warm outdoor shower, an easy-to-use outdoor stove, and a great campfire pit for relaxing evenings. The huge windows offered stunning views that made the whole place feel peaceful and connected to nature. We felt comfortable, cared for, and completely recharged. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a beautiful, serene getaway!

We loved our time at eagles nest! Ken our host was great! He gave us great instructions on how to get to the site and also gave us many recommendations on places to visit around the area. I stayed at this glamping site for a weekend and absolutely loved it. The property itself is gorgeous—quiet, well maintained, and surrounded by nature. If you’re looking for something that blends outdoor adventure with hotel-like comfort, this place nails it. I left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and already planning my next visit.

Great spot, definitely keep in mind this is on someone’s property. However the location was great and the views were spectacular. We had a blast and look forward to staying here again.

Comfortable and Relaxing.

It was a nice place to stay for a few days to get away and relax. It had everything there for you including a comfy bed. I read, did some painting and did some hiking fairly close. My dog enjoyed herself, too. There is a little car noise that I didn’t expect but it didn’t take away from the good experience. I’ll definitely come back again.

My husband and I came here for our anniversary weekend and it was the perfect overnight stay! The cabin was really cute, clean, and tidy and we were able to use the stove/pots/pans to cook dinner. It was our first time using a compostable toilet but we had no issues with the it & the shower got nice and warm too. It was nice to be disconnected from WiFi but we still had good cell service as needed. Would definitely recommend!

A peaceful escape.

We didn’t know what to expect since it had been many years since our last camping trip, but Granite Mountain Campsite exceeded all our expectations! We decided to go glamping to ease back into camping, and it was absolutely perfect—from booking to the actual stay. The view was stunning, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. It’s private, quiet, and the perfect place to disconnect from the outside world. Everything was spotless—from the room and campsite amenities to the restrooms and showers. We’ll definitely be looking forward to staying here again! Thank you Ken! You’re an excellent host!

Lovely retreat in Aguanga

We loved the privacy and views! We are avid hikers and there’s so many trails around the area. The outdoor kitchen was perfectly equipped but still felt “ rugged” . We were pleasantly surprised by the bathroom and shower. It was perfect for our little weekend getaway.

Perfect for romantic getaway

This cabin was so beautiful and delightful. I solo stayed with my dog as a woman and it was completely safe! The host was kind and communicated the whole way through. Also they have pretty much everything you need at the cabin so you can pack light as well. Had the most wonderful mountain views as well. I would def stay again.

Eagle nest mountain

I truly enjoyed my stay here. The location is beautiful, surrounded by nature, and the perfect place to relax and disconnect from the noise of everyday life. We had a lovely stay - everything was very clean and well set up, with some main items included which was appreciated (water, stovetop, propane, towels, mini fridge, etc). Ken provided excellent instructions and also activities to do and see around the area. It felt like a great little house getaway and the fire and chairs to watch the sunrise was perfect!

This was an amazing stay, one of the best I’ve found on Hipcamp. There’s really no need to bring anything other than a change of clothes and whatever you feel like cooking in the outdoor cooking area. The view from the deck was incredible and the nighttime view serene. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this stay for the outdoor enthusiast or for anyone needing to unplug for a bit. I absolutely loved staying here and it was the perfect place to disconnect, unwind, and take in the fresh air! The glamping set up is a perfect balance of the comforts of a cabin with the joys and natural intimacy of camping. Everything works well, is super well-maintained, and aesthetic without losing the authenticity of being off-grid and in the wild. I ended up staying here by myself on a first solo "camping" getaway so I was a bit nervous, but it really is a great spot to be secluded without being too isolated (it was comforting to faintly hear the occasional car or atv in the distance haha). There's also a ton of local gems shared by Ken for hikes, wineries, historical/cultural and artistic spots, and unique places like the olive oil company with tastings, so it's great for a trip with adventures too if that's what you want! Ken is a great host and from beginning to end, was welcoming, responsive, and gave clear instructions and great information! Like most people said, there is a short walk from the parking lot and luckily this is the lowest site, but also the site is on a slight incline throughout so make sure all of your shoes (even the slippers) have some level of grip. Overall, this is a perfect glamping experience and I would definitely like to come back again!
