Such a beautiful spot right above Gold Wall. Arrived just on time to catch the incredible sunset! Michele was extremely responsive. Really looking forward to returning and spending more time.

I really enjoyed tent camping at Michele and Patrick’s vast property. Very accommodating and amazing sights as well as a wonderful train track that looks over the cliff.
I would definitely recommend campers to visit their land and enjoy the stars.
There is running water, a fully stocked bathroom, and it’s dog friendly! My puppy loved it.

I loved the stay at Michele’s ranch.
The views from the stay were amazing.
Michele communicates well and it was very easy to ask any questions.
Will definitely go back.

Great spot over looking the lake. We loved the view! The hosts were so hospitable and quick to respond. We had a tent pole break and they quickly got us tape to help fix. Great site!

This spot offers breathtaking views that honestly rival some national parks. Michele was incredibly warm and thoughtful — she had everything set up perfectly at the campsite. Walking along the old railroad tracks, you get to enjoy a variety of stunning landscapes — from cliffs and lakes to beautiful overlooks of Jamestown. The cabin was super cozy. It was my first time camping and I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction!

Our family of 4 loved camping at Michele's property for Fourth of July weekend. Michele was super warm and inviting and there was plenty of space for everyone. The view of the lake and cliff was out of this world beautiful, it was one of our favorite family vacation by far.

Had a great camping experience here! The hosts were super friendly and checked in with us every day to see if we needed anything—really thoughtful service. The scenery was beautiful and peaceful, perfect for relaxing.
There are also some fun places nearby, such as Railtown 1897 State Historic Park and Moaning Caverns Adventure Park, which are great for history buffs and adventure lovers.

We had a wonderful time here! Cannot wait to come back again! Our hosts Michele and Patrick were awesome! Michele checked in if we needed anything. Patrick took us for an afternoon cruise on his mini railroad that was just super fun! What a memory! The views are spectacular! It was wonderful having hot showers as well! A+++++

We were lucky to be the only campers on Michele’s property, so we got to enjoy the whole campsite to ourselves. Campsite 1 has more shade and trees, campsite 2 is more open. The campsites are pretty close to each other and especially with the shared communal areas I can imagine you’d run into the other parties quite frequently.
The bathroom and shower were a really nice touch and made camping so comfortable. There’s one bathroom that contains the toilet and shower. Communal kitchen area was also useful. It includes picnic tables, a propane grill, and well water (no sink). Both campsites are right by the communal area, though each campsite has its own picnic table as well.
The views were the best part and if you walk out a bit there is a view spot where you can sit and enjoy a beautiful view of the lake. Amazing during sunset!
Overall we had a nice time and the hosts were very welcoming and responsive.

My friends and I stayed here and couldn’t have asked for a better spot. It’s a shady, private spot surrounded by majestic oak trees, just a short walk from the bathroom and the communal area. At night, we were treated to incredible views of the moon and stars.
The amenities really made the experience stand out. The availability of electricity and a gas grill in the communal cooking area made prepping meals easy, and the fire pit gave us a cozy spot to gather and stay warm at night.
Michelle, our host, was incredibly kind and attentive—she even took the time to personally walk me through the amenities when I arrived after dark. Her hospitality and the care she’s put into the property were evident throughout our stay.
Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind in nature without giving up comfort or convenience.

We love tiny houses and cozy accommodation and this one is one of our favorites. We stayed for one night just for a quick getaway for my son’s bday. We enjoyed our stay, of course, the comfy bed, clean restroom, and nice communal space for BBQ and firepit. The beautiful views, the serenity of the place, the stunning sunset and sunrise, a taste of star gazing, and the train ride make this trip a memorable one. Thank you Michelle and Patrick for being such an awesome host, very accommodating and warm. Your place is a gem! We’ll come back again.

We stayed here the weekend of March 29th and found a slice of heaven. The grounds are spacious and absolutely gorgeous. The wildflowers this time of year were so picturesque. It’s a very serene and peaceful experience. The remote location has you immersed in nature with sounds of frogs, crickets, and too many different birds to name can be heard all day. We were lucky and got to also experience the sound of the rain on the metal cabin roof. The cabins have comfy beds, a/c and a heater for all seasons. The bathrooms on site are well maintained and have awesome hot water. Michelle the host was beyond helpful and accommodating! The location of the Hawk’s Lair Wine Bar is looking out over Gold Wall and New Melones Lake and has a sunset experience that is breathtaking to say the least. Bring your camera and your love of the outdoors and leave relaxed and refreshed. Can’t wait to go back!!
