We booked Sunset view campsite for 1 night at the top of the property sitting below the ATV entrance leading into the forest. We booked specifically for the sunset and fog over the mountain tops to sip coffee and stare at the view & enjoy the beautiful starry sky at night, not looking for hiking, exploring or ATV. There was a little breeze in the late afternoon when we arrived, it was 10 degrees cooler up in the mountain than below in the valley and at dusk the breeze completely died down making for a perfect quiet evening without mosquitoes. If you like to drive your car offroad like we do this is the perfect place to drive up gravel as it's very well maintained. We enjoyed our campsite with the view of the grassy field below us & mountains in the backdrop and the large rock. There is no picnic table so bring something to use. We checked out the new modern cabin to rent, it has a nice view of the mountains & big open spot in front for large groups to play & has access to walking the property's roads. Host was very helpful and sincerely a nice person who made us feel welcome and even helped dispose of our garbage at the end of our stay. Thank you so much!

Sunset view campsite
This is definitely the most out of the way Hipcamp I've stayed at, so if you like adventure and being in a remote area, this is for you!
I stayed in the Sunset View site and the views are spectacular! The hosts welcomed me, and were really nice and accommodating.
That being said, I think it would be helpful if there was information about the road conditions in the listing.
The road up to the site is 4 miles, but it is all uphill, unpaved and in some areas is only wide enough for one vehicle. There's a sign that says it's a 10% grade, which seems accurate. There are a lot of rocks on the road, so it's slow going. I timed myself on the way out (downhill) and it took 20 minutes.
I travel in Ram Promaster 1500 (136"wb) 2wd and there were a few spots on the road where I lost traction. I got up the hill just fine, but I was a bit surprised that nothing was indicated in the listing about the condition or grade of the incline, which is important info.
The site itself was away from the main house, offering a lot of privacy. WiFi is available, but not at the Sunset View site, phone service wasn't working at the site either.
During my visit it was hot and dry, so very, very dusty. The site is on loose dirt, so you can't really avoid it.
There are some trails cut around the property, so some opportunity to wander.
