This was the perfect little spot to set up our tent for the night on a road trip up the coast. Just far enough off the beaten path to be quiet and restful, yet still close to the amenities of town and didn't take us too far out of our way. The spot was clean and private enough, with a bathroom nearby. And it was a treat to wake to the donkeys sweet braying!

This was a great location-easy access to Paso Robles and Big Sur! The campsite and property was well maintained and had charm. The host was excellent with communication. We enjoyed the animals on the property as well. 10/10 experience!

We had an excellent stay and was glad the fog rolled in to cool us off in the evening. The instructions made the whole process simple and pleasant. Would definitely go back if I was going to spend some time enjoying Paso Robles again. Easy straight shot to town and restaurants etc. the airstream was clean and had everything we needed.

We loved our stay at Dana’s ranch! We camped there for two nights and had a wonderful experience. Dana was incredibly welcoming and helpful, making us feel right at home. The property has beautiful, private trails perfect for quick hikes. We would absolutely recommend staying here and can’t wait to come back!

We stayed in a charming recently renovated Airstream trailer located in a clearing in the low forest of the coastal range. Local wild life was abundant and dramatic ranging from ground squirrels and woodpeckers to deer and a red tail hawk. Mid April in the low 80s was pleasant~much lower starts to get “prepare for it” cold at night.
Just north of loads of wineries. Expect tasting fees with 2-3 ~$60 bottle minimum purchases and you should have a good time. Lots to do in Paso Robles, just ask around.

Camp Under the Stars in Paso Robles
Dana's property was great for a quiet weekend of camping in wine country. It was easy to find & accessible. The bathrooms were clean & in good order, a 2 minute walk from the camp, and the camp was 20 minutes from downtown and only 5 minutes from a number of other wineries. The camp site is along the driveway, but is really quiet, and there are fun animals (Donkeys, goats, chickens) to visit and say hi to. No campfires during this time of year, but it was still peaceful and a great place for us to test drive camping with an infant!

I booked the campsite and needed to cancel because I got a really bad flu. I messaged the host twice on hip camp and texted both numbers provided. I was ignored, received no response and my money was taken

My suggestion to the host would be to take some new, more recent photos as the ones posted do not reflect how the trailer actually looks - so visitors are going to feel mislead, as we do! The photos make it look light, bright and airy. The trailer interior is dark, dull and brown! 75% of the interior furnishings are not as they are in the photos - different couch, different chairs, mismatched curtains and cheap bedding with holes in it. Outside, there are no cute chairs and fire pit. There’s a water trough filled with gross green water.
There is a shower but we couldn’t figure out how to get the water hot (and we are seasoned RV’ers).
Also, be aware that you are not in an idyllic countryside setting, you are in the middle of a small farm with horse stables 50 feet away. I paid over $230 for one night here - which I can’t quite believe - it’s worth $60 at best.
I did contact the host before we arrived and they never responded. I would have contacted them during our visit but there was no Wi-Fi or cell signal , plus they likely wouldn’t have responded anyway!
Trailer was very dirty on the outside, clean enough on the inside. Door had no lock. Bed was reasonably comfortable so we got some sleep, and got up early and left.

This was a beautiful spot in Paso Robles! Although there are a couple sites on the property, there is plenty of privacy and I definitely felt like I had the whole place to myself. The airstream was beautifully maintained and had all the basics I needed to enjoy my time there. The property is worth exploring as they have goats and donkeys (that like snacks!) as well as quiet and peaceful scenery to take in. Dana was a communicative host and provided lots of info about her land as well as recommendations for things to do in town (about a 10 min drive to downtown and also close to local wineries). The cell service is very spotty as is the wifi, but I appreciated being off my phone for a couple nights. I even started reading one of the books in the airstream! I recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful stay in Paso’s beautiful wine country!

Such a beautiful property! The donkeys, stars, and facilities made for a great weekend in the Paso Robles area. The hosts were friendly with a super cute dog. There are two campground options here. One more isolated, but further from the shower and indoor toilets — the other a short walk to the indoor facilities but along the property’s entry, so less private. We were at the second one, so getting to the showers was convenient. While the occasional car drove by, it was still much, much quieter than a public campground! Would definitely return!

Coyote Mynt Ranch was a wonderful place to camp! Dana gave us options for where to set up our campsite upon check-in, and our spot had its own hammock and the clearest skies at night. You can truly see so many stars! The facilities were well maintained, and it’s an easy drive to Tin City.
To make things even better, my boyfriend proposed on our second night under the stars! I couldn’t have wished for a more beautiful backdrop.

We read the reviews before booking the experience and had high hopes. Sadly, we didn’t end up staying in the airstream and ate the cost and booked a hotel. Although Dana was initially responsive, we didn’t feel like the listing of the airstream was reflected to the reality. We arrived around 630pm and left shortly after due to the conditions of the airstream. We were expecting insects and spiders and a rustic experience, but not a rundown airstream filled with cobwebs, fire ants, and dirty dishes and musty sheets. The host will comment and say otherwise, which is fine, but we wanted to leave a review to warn people. The many pictures are from yrs ago and honestly it doesn’t seem like they maintained the airstream or their property since taking the pictures. The check in instructions gave us a pin to enter the gate, but when we arrived the gate was locked by a chain. Safe to say that we originally booked this spot as a glamping experience and it was far from it… honestly felt like we got scammed. Save your $300 and book a hotel down the street.

Dana and everyone at the Ranch were helpful by describing exactly how to get to my site. I had a really late arrival but had no issues and loved the site. The bathroom & shower were immaculate and just what I needed after having done a local half marathon. I'll definitely be revisiting when in the area again.

Beautiful custom cabin with all the amenities you could need. No reception, but the wifi is fantastic!
Spent a lovely weekend exploring the central coast. Dana has thought of everything! The cabin is spacious, modern and comfortable. We loved the beds, the cute farm babies, the large porch surrounded by mature oak trees, and the cabin's aesthetic and vibes. We were lucky to say hello to the baby donkey and calf. We enjoyed the local hot spring spa, Templeton farmers market (Dana's rec) and made a delicious dinner in the provided cast iron skillet. So many things to love about this place. Hope to visit again soon!

Not clean and unresponsive host. When arriving we arrived into the airstream to 20-30 spiders in their webs on the ceiling of the airstream. Additionally we found mouse poop on the kitchen surfaces, in the bedsheets and on the sitting areas. Other small things that matter were the soap bottle in the camper was completely empty, the grill starter didn’t work, and the animal were happy but their pens had not been cleaned of poop for a very very long time. Sadly, when messaging the host about the major issues she never responded we will be taking it up with Hipcamp. We did not end up staying past the first night as we got in very late.

Beautiful property with awesome airstreams, a casita and really pleasant outdoor spaces to hang out. We loved the giant tub, which was so refreshing after a long hot day drinking wine! Plus there is a baby donkey! We will definitely come back!

Photos of the accommodation are misleading. We were expecting a luxury glamping experience but the airstream was very grubby and worn out. The air conditioning system was very old, it turned on but was not at all effective at cooling the caravan, it was unbearably hot. We tried to contact the host but were not able to get through to her. Ultimately after one night we made the decision to cut our loses and leave early to find alternative accommodation. Terrible value for money, would not recommend!

While the site feels private and has great views, we unfortunately had a difficult time upon arrival. The host requires you set a time to meet them on the property (as no directions for the actual campsite are given) but when we got closer to our arrival time we could not get a hold of them at all. We ended up waiting over an hour in the heat with no cell service and no idea what was happening. We left the property to get cell service, still couldn’t get a hold of anyone, then manage to flag down their niece who shows us the campsite. The host did not text until later that they were going to show up an hour and a half after our scheduled time, however, we never saw them the entire stay. The bar area is very cute and the restrooms were clean - but waiting one and a half hours in 100+ degrees really put a damper on our stay. Wish they would just put up signs or give directions to get to the site.

Location beautiful and everything inside airstream worked exceptionally well (ie. A/C, fridge, stove). Beds were super comfortable.
I hate to say anything negative but I feel I need to be honest for future hipcampers. My husband & I had just been tent camping at a state park before arriving at Calamity Jane. I expected the glamping experience to be a step up. Unfortunately not. Several things I felt were need to knows were casually brushed over, like the fact that the airstream has mice. Inside. Leaving droppings on the table and seating areas. Screens did not seem to fit windows securely so the bathroom at night was filled with moths, gnats, mosquitoes swarming the little light next to the toilet. My husband fell asleep while I tried to watch my tablet in bed. Spent the time squashing gnats attracted to the glow. Just wish I had known some things up front so I could have made a more informed decision about staying here.

Nice sized site with a good view and privacy. Instructions could have been a bit more clear to find the site but we got there. Keep in mind that the amenities like shower and bathroom are nice but are not within walking distance of this site.

Great, private, rustic spot tucked away in nature. We enjoyed the space a lot (a little
more run down than the pictures but lovely nonetheless!) the bed is extremely comfortable! We loved waking up to the sounds of birds and animals and enjoyed the outside space. We just booked the other Airstream for a few months from now - can’t wait to be back!

We had fun and the site was beautiful, but it was remote, the bathroom and water was very far away, we had to drive there. The site was not easy to get in and out of, there was a huge dip so each time we drove out we got a bunch of dirt all over the car. So for this price point i would have liked the site to be a bit easier. Would have been fine if it was cheeper. Also the photo was not not the site we got.
