We loved the location and the manager. We didn’t get her name, but she was wonderful; very friendly and constantly working around the camp. The hot water in the showers got extremely hot and never ran out. However, “resort” in the name is definitely a misnomer. The bathhouse needed some tlc, and was not heated. Water pooled around the base of the toilets, which did not seem to be caused by the showers, based on my shower experience. The sewer hookup in one row of rv sites was plugged. We moved to a different row to find a site that had a hookup that was not full. We ended up close to the river, which was a beautiful site every morning. The rv sites are extremely close together; you and the camper next to you will both be right on top of the electricity and sewer hookups. We discovered some long term campers that were not so great; one had three dogs that he didn’t clean up after in the (really great dog park). There is no playground anymore, and there is a junk pile behind the dog park. The office/rec center was never open. Overall we had a great time, but it was in spite of the disappointing aspects. The manager, the view, the dog park, and the impressively hot and long-lasting hot water make it doable for someone who isn’t looking for a true resort.

Right next to the river and really nice spot. Clean restrooms and shower. Stayed in campgrounds area. Wear good shoes bc it's wet from all the mist.

We booked 3 nights for 2 adults and 1 dogs, because on the listing this property was dog friendly. Only to come back one day 1 and get a call from the owner saying we had to leave as they have a very clear no dogs allowed policy. It is not clear… even the instructions emailed to me does not state a clear “no dogs allowed policy.” Especially considering the campground itself is dog friendly. I provided multiple forms of proof that the booking did say pets allowed. We left immediately. We did not appreciate how the owner handled it. We were offered a kennel (1/2 the size of our dog) to kennel him.. outside… at all times. That is what truly upset me because it was in the 40’s at night. Needless to say this experience left a bad taste in our mouth, and we will not return even without a dog. That’s being said, the staff on the property was extremely nice, so this review is no reflection on them.

I enjoyed tent camping at Chinook RV. The tent sites were great and easy to find on site! The bathrooms were clean and the location was very close to the Redwood National and State Forest(s). I was able to visit the Redwoods early the next morning in just a short drive!

My friends and I stayed one night here, we had a beautiful sunset with a great view of the scenery. I loved the dog off leash area, the convenience of the firewood and ice purchase. The bathrooms were clean and worked great! Only thing to be mindful is that it’s near the main road which means car noise at night and early in the morning.

Nice campground located right on the Klamath river. We only stopped for one night on our trip down 101. Quiet, nice bathrooms, and right down the road from Trees of Mystery. Would definitely stay again.

Clean, nice place. Plenty of space in tent camping areas. The map on hi camp, and the pin provided are wrong, however, but just for the specific location within the park. The tent sites are to the right, not left. It was confusing when arriving late.

Clean and green little spot off the 101 in Klamath, CA. Riverside access is a short walk from the tent sites. Glamping sites are right on the Klamath River.
It is nice that tent sites are set aside from the RVs in their own area, and have their own clean bathrooms. There is one hose in the tent area for all tent campers to use
Tent sites are very small, so you are up close and personal with other campers. There is a row of 6 tent sites that should really be no more than 3-4 sites, There is also no boundary between sites, and overlapping parking if all sites are booked. (The case when we stayed- so organising with other campers to rearrange cars was necessary.)
Overall it was a good experience, all the other tent campers were helpful, respectful and kindly worked together when necessary.

Very convenient booking. I was travelling on the road and tent camping with kids. There was no way to know exactly where we would get to before we were tired so we booked the place only a few hours before we planned to sleep. Got a quick response and it all worked out well.

It was a nice space to spend the night. We were passing through and the space did its job. Clean rest rooms. We were really close to our neighbors. No fire rings or tables, just a space for you to pull into.

The tent-only spots were very nice, clean, and mostly level. The bathrooms nearby would have been nice, but during our stay three of the units were out of order and the remaining three had flushing issues so there was quite a bit of backup and therefore smell. Decided not to even attempt the shower given the state of the bathrooms...

Overall, this experience was pretty good! Easy check in and out process, and the site was clean and well maintained. The women’s bathroom was flooded with 1-2 inches of water for the evening and morning that we were there, seemingly from the showers, which was a bit of a pain if you were using the toilets and had shoes/pants on that you didn’t want to get wet. We also had a lot of difficulty getting the wifi to work, which presented a bit of a problem for using phones for navigating to locations the next morning.

Outstanding location on the edge of the Klamath River, the site is well trimmed and picked up. The nearly full park and infrastructure is showing its age. We made a day of arrival reservation but never received a confirming email with instructions. Arriving after dark the note at the office said if your packet is not here, your have signed your papers on the internet and you have every thing completed already. Except we did not know what space off the top of our heads and there was no cellular signal. An other guest shared the WiFi PW so we could look our receipt. The handy man was able to turn on the water spigot missing a handle. The toilet was not operating, but several were being worked on. The shower was good, the structure older but clean. At the rivers edge was a platform with large firepit, we would have enjoyed being their earlier and heard the stories of the host and fellow travelers.
