Come camp on one of the Southeast's most unique properties, Beakertopia! Our 2.4 acre artist compound is enclosed in bamboo and lush with hundred-year-old live oaks + native pollinator flowers we’ve planted. Choose any spot to pitch your tent and enjoy our magic oasis only 20 min from the beautiful white sandy beaches of Gulf Shores. You're welcome to use the "outdoor living room" as you please. This area includes a bar with rainwater catchment for washing hands/dishes, refrigerator, freezer, electric tea kettle, microwave, solar oven, complimentary coffee/tea station, 2 burner biogas stovetop with cooking equipment&utensils, games, aerial yoga silks, climbing wall, slackline, Iyengar yoga rope wall, trash/recycling, filtered alkaline drinking water and more! Feel free to use our laundry facilities, communal picnic basket, and complimentary condiments, seasonings, sauces, etc found in the door of the fridge. Attached to the lounge is our air conditioned ecobathroom with *hot* shower, bio toilet, and complimentary toiletries if you forget anything. A few notes on the property: Most people have never used an EcoToilet and don’t realize it takes some work. If you have children, you will very likely have to do this part for them. We keep the lounge area as clean as possible but at the end of the day it is an outdoor kitchen! Kitchenwares will have a layer of dust even if cleaned the day prior, so please give everything a rinse before you using! You may read about mosquitoes in some of our past reviews, but I am happy to share that we now have a monthly mosquito service in place that has mitigated that issue :) Learn more about this land: Our intention for this artist community is to bring like-minded people together and make the world a more beautiful place. It serves as our primary residence and also residence for seasonal workers&traveling artists when they come here. Every year we have the opportunity to employ about a dozen people to work with us during the tourist season, from March-October. Aside from our local employees, we also wanted to create a space that would allow for fellow travelers to join our crew. Welcome to our enchanting Native American tipi, a haven of cultural immersion and comfort! Nestled amidst the beauty of nature, this 26 ft diameter tipi offers a truly unique and immersive experience. We built this sacred structure from scratch in a year long labor of love~ we harvested the pines ourselves and commissioned the custom canvas from the Native American company Nomadics tipi makers. We built the tipi on a deck several feet above the ground and there is a traditional "rain catcher" in the top; however, there could still be some rain coming in through the top during the occasional torrential downpours we get in this region. Please consider the weather when booking your camping trip! The tipi is off-grid and completely empty besides bug nets+small indoor safe propane firepit, so please bring everything you need to camp comfortably~ i.e bedding, fans, lights, water etc. If you’re booking during the summer we highly recommend bringing a good rechargeable fan as the southern Alabama heat here can be brutal if you aren’t used to it. The tipi is at the very back edge of our property, making it the most private site but also the longest walk from the parking area. You will have access to our outdoor kitchen + bathroom, but please note this site is about 500 feet away from them so plan accordingly. Whether you're seeking a peaceful solo retreat, a romantic getaway, or a family adventure, our Native American tipi provides a one-of-a-kind stay that promises relaxation, inspiration, and a deeper connection to the natural world. Friends of Beakertopia, we couldn’t be more excited to share our brand new Aircrete Dome with you! We’ve spent the last 2.5 years building this one-of-a-kind resonant structure and it’s finally your chance to experience the magic for yourself. From pouring the foundation and each brick by hand, to manually carving each curve and constructing a castle style door from scratch, we built every single thing ourselves with no prior experience. We hope it will inspire you to follow your own DIY dreams and build something you can love & be proud of. We wanted to leave the floor plan very open for yoga, meditation, playing instruments, dance, ceremony space, etc, so this is just your sleeping space. You will access our outdoor kitchen/lounge area and eco-bathroom for all exterior needs. The dome features a skylight at its 16 ft peak and a round sit-in window with a gorgeous view of our 150-year-old oak grove and Sioux tipi. You’re sure to wake up relaxed and refreshed in our comfy queen sized bed with Cooling Gel-Infused mattress topper. For the entire interior of the dome, we chose a heavily studied color (Baker-Miller Pink) that’s proven to help people feel more calm and relaxed. The immense feeling of love and familiarity you feel, as you walk through the vulva door and into the pink womb, is beyond compare. Our intention when designing this was to inspire a feeling of “coming home” and we believe we truly captured just that. In current mainstream society it’s very easy to forget we’re all just human expressions of the Divine. This temple space exists to take you out of society for some time and immerse you into a physical representation of the dance between the Sacred Feminine and Divine Masculine. To remind you of the divinity that exists inside each and every one of us- to reconnect with your own true nature. Whether you’re one of the many visitors we’ve had during the last 2.5 years who saw this structure under construction and couldn’t wait to come back for it’s completion, or this is your very first time seeing it, we happily invite you all to come stay here. We poured our absolute heart and soul into every inch of this space and can’t wait for you to feel the love for yourself as you ground in to this sacred space!

This very special, intimate camping experience is on our screened-in wraparound porch! This is perfect for those wanting to go on an outdoor camping trip but don’t want the hassle of setting up a tent site! This space features a queen size memory foam mattress, twin daybed, hammock, and assortment of porch swings to lounge in. We built this creative space with our unique Beakertopia style so there is beauty to be found in every space. When booking this space you will have access to the outdoor kitchen, eco-bathroom, and fire pits out back. Please understand this porch is built around our house where we do live full-time and will be coming in/out during your stay! There are 2 doors on our end we use, and 2 doors on your end for you to use. While we are very open people who never meet a stranger, we understand this set-up may be a bit too close for comfort for some. If you seek a more private camping experience, the tipi or RV may be better suited for you :)

Camping under the oaks was beautiful. There is plenty of shade and it was extremely peaceful. There are plants and fruits trees that I'm excited to see how they've grown next time I'm back! Theounge was also very cool especially during 90+deg temps. +1 for the neat solar oven and +1 for the adorable dog.

I LOVED staying here. It is BEAUTIFUL. The moment you pull up you are greeted by majestic oak trees and a gorgeous bamboo fence. They have everything you need and more. You camp in a field with delicate wildflowers and under a ring of giant live oak trees. It felt magical. Everything is artsy and neat as well as environmentally friendly. The cost was great and it was super easy to find. I highly recommend her place.

The inside space if the teepee was bigger than we thought. It was warm and cozy. The main area had hammocks that we enjoyed, as wellbas games and other cozy places to sit. The man was very nice and helpful. They brought us a wheelbarrow to carry our things. It was really cute. We liked it. You would like it.

Our stay here was magical- Bon Secour is a pocket of untouched nature inside the booming growth of the coast, yet accessible to beaches and parks. Our dome stay gave us connection to the outdoors but some comforts of glamping. The property is full of Oaks and surrounded by woods. They have created a fun, oasis with unique stays! Highly recommend.

My husband and I needed a short getaway and Emma & Jason's place fit the bill! We both loved the live oaks on the property and the unique structures built by these two artists. Jason even helped when we needed an adapter for our power cord. My husband and I spent time chilling in the communal lounge, which offered comfortable seating, music, and cooking/dish washing amenities. The restroom and shower were well appointed and very comfortable. We would happily stay at Beakertopia again!

Beakertopia was the perfect place to relax and reset on our way to NOLA. She was very responsive and provided detailed instructions of where to park and access/use amenities. The shower was hot with great water pressure. The oaks were majestic. A hidden gem amongst the touristy RV parks.

Emma has created such a fun and unique campground amidst beautiful old oaks. I appreciate how well she cares for the trees to keep them healthy and growing strong! The atmosphere is friendly and there's a covered outdoor hangout area for guests with loads of quirky amenities. Clean bathroom and hot shower. Lovely unexpected gem in Alabama!

We loved camping here! Very private,quiet and the trees are beautiful!! There's a private bathroom with a shower ( when we were there the hot water in the shower didn't work it was very cold!) There's fresh water. There's a cool place to hang out play games have a drinks, even skateboard. We have 3 dogs there was plenty of room for them to run. I would definitely recommend!

Our stay was absolutely amazing! The vibes of this location are INCREDIBLE💖 it was such a fun experience playing music in the dome. The public spaces were well kept and had a lot of options for all types of people. The property was very progressive and earth friendly, I’ve never stayed anywhere that practices sustainability so clean and beautifully. The decor and privacy of the dome made us feel so at home and I was sad to leave, we will most definitely be returning.

This place is a great reprieve, a calm quiet sanctuary with so much art and creative effort put into detail. Very nice visit that I enjoyed a lot and highly recommend. Very interesting and hospitable hosts. More than just a camp site. Easy drive to the beach which for me (not from here) was beyond what I expected. Great quiet nature sanctuaries and white sand beaches but also a thriving downtown. I would definitely visit again.

This is a new favorite camping spot! Beautiful, well kept, and close to plenty of other things to do. There were tons of activities for everyone to enjoy - a phone just for music, coloring pages, yoga mats, a chess board, skateboards. As a solo female camper, I must say I've never felt more safe at a campground. This was in large part due to needing to enter the building with a gate code, which was very comforting to me personally! This is a special spot I completely recommend.

We loved it. Camping under the oaks was amazing. So peaceful. So beautiful. Emma and Jason were outstanding hosts. Very friendly. Super helpful since it was our first time staying. Already making plans for the next trip. It was a blast. Everything you needed was available. Everything! High vibes. Great memories. I can not say enough nice things. We had zero issues. ZERO! I know other reviews stated the mosquitoes were bad. No mosquito issues. We felt very safe and comfortable. Directions were perfect. I will shut up now. Just go stay 1 night! Find out for yourself! See y'all soon!!!

The environment was perfect for a quiet girls trip. Bathroom was clean and kept up, a cold shower was much appreciated to help beat the heat. We will be back to beakertopia in the fall!
