Please join us at the land of Bohamia for glamping with luxury beds and private decks, primitive camping in picturesque sites, and RV spots with power and water. Bohamia has an upscale bathhouse with private, hot showers and individual toilet rooms with floor-to-ceiling doors. The bathhouse is within 100 yards of all glamps and RV sites. We also have portalets stationed in the RV/Safari Tent area, at The Barn, and at the pond (0.4 miles from welcome center.) Premium RV spots now available with 30 or 50 amp hookups and water. We do not have sewer hookups or a waste station. Glamp, RV or camp amidst the natural beauty of our 268 acre property; we have open fields, shady spots beneath the hardwoods and pines, and even a five acre pond with plenty of fish if you’d prefer to wake up to a water view or take a morning swim. With miles of trails on our property, easy access to the 392,000 acre Talladega National Forest, and less than ten miles from the Pinhoti trail, you’ll never run out of beautiful places to explore. Be sure to save some time to enjoy the boulder strewn creek just a short walk from our welcome center - it’s a must see! Other local attractions are also within reach with the Top Trails ATV park and the Talladega Marksmanship Park only seven miles away.

Our most popular site, this Premium Pond Campsite is adjacent to our five acre pond. Picnic table and fire ring with grill are included along with plenty of shaded level area for a large tent. The spring fed pond has a dock and depth ranges from 6'-18'. It stays very cool in the summer and is excellent for swimming, paddle boarding, and fishing (catch and release please). Canoe rentals are available but feel free to bring your own canoe, kayak, or paddle board. There is a porta potty near the pond dock. Upscale bathhouse with endless hot showers and fully private restroom stalls is beside our welcome center - about a half mile away from the pond area. We recommend against motorhomes pulling a trailer unless you have a four wheel drive Class B. • PULL-BEHINDS: Please ensure you have an adequately powered tow-vehicle for your trailer. If your tow vehicle is poorly matched to your camper (right at tow capacity or less) then you may have issues on our driveway. Trucks and four wheel drive vehicles shouldn't have an issue. Very big and pretty piece of property. The tent camping area is in a field with a pond and surrounded by woods. Two others were camped also but it was spread out enough that it felt comfortable and quiet. Great trails on property. Pretty in the fall. Host was very nice.

My friend and I spent 2 nights tent/car camping at the pond area. I’ve been camping since I was a kid and she’s never been camping, but Bohamia was perfect for both of us. Leigh was wonderful, the camp sites were well maintained, quiet, and spread out enough to be more private than a lot of campgrounds. There’s only a Porta-potty in the pond area, but it was clean. The bathhouse is a short drive and very nice. The virtual camp store was so convenient for ordering wood for the fire and had a lot of other necessities. Highly recommend bringing hiking boots with good grip and hiking to the overlook/waterfall. The hiking trails are all very well maintained but not always well marked. However, Bohamia welcomes you to explore their unmarked trails as well, and it would likely be very hard to get truly lost on the property. My pit-mix comes on nearly every camping trip with me and I’m always a little weary of how she will be viewed, but she didn’t get so much as a sideways glance at Bohamia. I felt comfortable having her on a long tie-out or a zip-line and, because the sites were so spread out, there was no worry of her bothering anyone else. Before we even packed up, my friend was convincing the rest of our friend group to move our upcoming camping trip to Bohamia, so we will definitely be coming back.

It was very peaceful and quiet. Although the drive up was a little treacherous, once we were there, it was amazing. The bathrooms and showers were clean. Leigh met us at the house and explained the property and took us to our site. We have a 30ft class c motorhome. The spots are roomy, include electricity and water, a fire pit and picnic table. We took a short hike to the waterfall and enjoyed the quiet.

Bohamia is such a magical place!!! The property is so amazing and well taken care of. Bath house is like no other and always immaculate. So much to do on the land, you don’t even need to leave. From paddle boat/ canoe on the pond, fishing, swimming, hiking, and boulder hopping on the beautiful river that runs through the property, to relaxation at its best! This was our 2nd year coming here and definitely will be our yearly place to go to recharge and find our peace! The owner is exceptionally kind and always so welcoming!!! We love her and the land she shares with others, it’s all so perfect!!

fabulous!! the water here is so much more grand than we could’ve anticipated. the pond is so scenic and special. leigh was very accommodating, helpful and kind our whole stay. the heated showers and bathrooms were a quiet luxury on cold mornings and nights during our weekend. wonderful time, will be back!

Wide open spaces!

We came on our motorcycles for the Vintage Festival at Barbers in Birmingham. Every year we camp somewhere different, but that may change now. This place is wide open, quiet, and great for tents. Trees for shade, pond, and firewood via Uber! (Not really, but the staff brings it to you after order online). Now the helpful input….how about shelves in the shower. If you are on a bike, the road is steep and rocky with gravel in few places, turn off your ABS. We will decently be back next year!

We had a great time caping at Bohamia! It was very private and there were so many areas to explore. The bathroom facilities were always clean. We stayed in RV 5 which is PERFECT central location for a large group to gather. Some family members stayed in the glamping tents and they were amazing and well stocked. The pond area is beautiful and the self serve use of boats and floats were a nice touch. Great family trip and we would definitely return!

Guys this is the campsite you’ve been looking for. Clean organized and comfortable. Something for all types of campers. The private toilet stalls and showers are immaculate. The online store with fast delivery is easy and convenient. The staff is so friendly and helpful and legit just nice people. I tentatively camped solo with my dog and we were extremely comfortable and felt very safe with the locked front gate. Stayed by the pond, we were the only ones there but despite that the sites are spread out enough that it would feel private. The pond water is refreshing and calm, the wildlife sounds at night are like a song! Slept very well with a full moon. I can’t say enough good things, just stop looking at other sites and go already!

This hipcamp was by far our favorite! The site was gorgeous and so was the property. We loved exploring the hiking trails and visiting the river. There was a great little pond to swim in and canoe around! The owner was really responsive and accommodating. Would definitely recommend coming here and we will be back!

My wife and I are so happy we found this little gem in Alabama. This was our first Hipcamp experience and didn’t know what to expect! Our intention was only to spend the night and leave the next day as we made our way south however, once we got up in the morning to walk our pups, and got a chance to see the property, we were thoroughly surprised by what we found! Bohamia is a beautiful, peaceful, and well organized operation. We were fortunate to meet Leigh, one of the owners. She was so friendly and nice!! She gave us lots of information so we can become Hipcamp hosts as well. The property offers so many amenities including a magical waterfall and swimming pond, hiking and biking trails! We were able to spend the entire day hiking and swimming with the pond all to ourselves! We loved it so much we stayed an extra night. We will definitely make this a destination for future camping trips with friends and family. Thank you Bohamia!

We stayed at the pond campsite. There’s several to choose from and since we were the only primitive campers, we were able to stay in the one closest to the pond where we enjoyed fishing, swimming and using the canoe and peddle boat. The campsite is large and clean

Site was private, everything about Bohamia was well designed and intentional. I wish I had booked a longer stay rather than having to roll on to the next stop so soon. This site made me feel safe and comfortable as a solo traveller. All my interactions with staff here were great.

This spot is such a gem! The bathrooms are great. We loved the lake and perfect short hike to the waterfall. We were tent camping but had friends in the glamps and they were excellent. We will be back!

We loved tent camping on Bohamia's land! The pond was not only beautiful but also perfect for my boys to fish in. All aspects of the campground were very clean. There were guest campers next to us, but they were respectful and quiet.

Bohamia was a FANTASTIC location for our group camp. The RV spots are very level and spacious. There’s a lot of shade. The best part was the property. It’s so beautiful and excellently maintained. I would highly recommend anyone to book this location!

I highly recommend Bohemia. Within 10 days I stayed there twice. I stayed in one of the A-frames. It is a great glamping experience. They have an experience. They have an online shop where you can order firewood, s’mores , ice , and bug spray. When I first got there, I got out my kayak and I went out on their pond. My second time there I explored their trails. There’s a beautiful dam with a waterfall on the yellow trail. There was a thunderstorm while I was there, and I felt quite safe and cozy in my little A-frame. Leigh who runs the grounds is fantastic and truly welcoming. It truly is a peaceful place to be in nature and reconnect. The bathrooms and the shower stalls were very well kept and cleaned daily. 5 ⭐️ from me. I will be back!

It was a quiet place and the group site we were on didn't have any nearby neighbors and was secluded by trees. Nice trails and a little pond. Camp host was very nice and accommodating.
