Escape to open high desert land, on an Ancient Native American Village dotted with shady juniper trees and endless views. Nights sparkle with unreal starry skies. Star gazing is exceptional at all of our cozy camping sites. We also have fresh drinking water on site. Find us just off scenic Highway 12 beside the Grand Staircase National Monument with Bryce Canyon and Capitol Reef National Parks waiting close by. Hike world famous trails like the Escalante River and Coyote Gulch or explore wonders like the Cosmic Ashtray or shimmy through slot canyons like Zebra and Spooky Gulch. Kids love the hoodoos and arches at Devils Garden and nearby lakes offer relaxing days of fishing at Posey Lake and Barker Reservoirs. Canyoneering, guided fishing and ATV rentals are all close by. We are very fortunate to have our Medical clinic and pharmacy in Escalante. There are several restaurants, a grocery and nice organic grocery store as well as a new family dollar store here too. We have something magical here for every kind of explorer.

You’ll find enough room for two tents. drinking water, rustic hammock posts and solar pathway lights. You can rent a comfy and cozy hammock at our office just in case you don’t have one. Enough parking for one vehicle. Bring bug spray in case of mosquitoes or gnats.

One of the best campsites I’ve stayed at! The views were stunning, and it was very peaceful, quiet, and felt safe. The site, outhouse, and shower were all exceptionally clean and well kept. Stephen and Diana were very friendly and kind hosts! I would definitely come back here if I’m in the area again.

The campsites were quiet and secluded but still close to town and the bathroom and shower were clean and well maintained. Stephen and Diana were friendly and welcoming and gave us tips on local attractions. We also had a good view of the night sky.

Bobcat Barracks #3
Nice, semi-remote location between Bryce Canyon and Capital Reef. Great hosts. Lights from bathroom and shower were very bright into this campsite. The hosts are fixing that issue. Sites were a little sloped. Facilities worked alright.
