Hello Campers! Our property is 16.5 acres, two of which are along the Tygart Valley River and the rest are within forest canopy on the mountainside. We are in the low foothills of the Appalachia. We have 4 riverfront sites and we are continually changing our space around This year we will be adding a tiny house on site 4 and a sweatlodge with soaking pool on Site 1 additional camping spots along the property near outhouse
Each site is equipped with a steel fire pit/grill and a picnic table. We have been busy building hiking trails and more primitive campsites on the 14.5 acres on the hillside across the road from the riverfront for all to enjoy.
Step outside your tent and enjoy natures bounty —outdoor activities including fishing, kayaking, hiking, bird watching are all at your fingertips and much more. There are 300+ acres of public land less than one mile away with miles of ATV and hiking trails and stocked ponds. If you're a fan of waterfalls just 4 miles down river is Arden Falls, one of our areas best kept secrets. The Tygart Valley River is one of the top kayaking rivers in the country. Audra State Park is less than 20 minutes away with lush forest trails with caves to explore. Well known hiking trails such as Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob, and the Dolly Sods are all within an hour drive. Go to Nelson Rocks for the ultimate climbing experience on the Via Ferrata.

We began operating our 150 acre farm in 2011 and became the first Certified Naturally Grown Livestock farm in West Virginia in 2013. We raise 100% grass-fed beef, Western and Chinese medicinal herbs. Our family garden supplies more than half of our vegetables and our favorite berries, and our flock of chickens supply eggs and an early morning wake-up call for our campers! We are 20 minutes from Swallow Falls State Park (MD), featuring Muddy Creek Falls, awesome river swimming and gorgeous hiking in an old growth Hemlock forest. We are also 20 minutes from Herrington Manor State Park (MD) were there is a lake for swimming, fishing, and canoeing. Cathedral State Park (WV) a virgin Hemlock forest with 400 year old trees about 45 minutes away. Deep Creek Lake (MD) is 40 minutes away and offers motor boat rentals, Golf, Skiing and swimming. There is skiing, hiking, biking, tubing, rafting, kayaking and much more to explore within 40 minutes of our farm. The best white water rafting on the east coast is 20-40 minutes away.Farm products are available for purchase on-site. Campers can choose to to have a farm to table meal cooked for them as an extra at checkout. We prepare most of our food from scratch using local produce, meat and bulk organic dry goods. We're located between Davis, Parsons, and Elkins.
Dolly Sods, Canaan, Audra State Park, the Tygart River, the Cheat River, Seneca Rocks, and Tygart Lake are all a simple and scenic trip away.
The land itself is 10 acres. The main camp area is on flat field and approximately 4 acres.
Here is the secret recipe to this camp site:
It will be all yours! We only offer a single primitive site per night. There are no neighbors (at least the human kind) visible from anywhere on the main field. Very minimal light pollution. The stars are clearly visible on a clear night.
There are also no utilities. This includes water, electricity, or available enclosed shelters. Verizon and AT&T have strong signals in the field.
There is a metal carport that has a concrete pad along with a Porta John for privacy. There are also some storage buildings on site.
There is a gas station (Sheetz in Belington, WV) within 5 miles of the farm site and a Dollar General within 3 miles. Beyond that, Elkins has plenty of store options if you need supplies.
Interstate 79 is 32 miles away.
We are in the process of developing the far corner of the main field into an active hops farm and are members of a WV Co-Hop.
Again: this site is secluded and your group will be the only people there during your stay.
We will provide detailed directions when you make your reservation.
The driveway is steep and could cause issues for two wheel drive vehicles in winter. If it's rained extensively there could also be some muddy areas which we ask that you try to avoid.

We began operating our 150 acre farm in 2011 and became the first Certified Naturally Grown Livestock farm in West Virginia in 2013. We raise 100% grass-fed beef, Western and Chinese medicinal herbs. Our family garden supplies more than half of our vegetables and our favorite berries, and our flock of chickens supply eggs and an early morning wake-up call for our campers! We are 3 miles from Terra Alta, a rural town with a locally owned restaurant and a local craft beer brewery featuring an exciting rotating cast of food trucks. We are 20 minutes from Swallow Falls State Park (MD), featuring Muddy Creek Falls, awesome river swimming and gorgeous hiking in an old growth Hemlock forest. We are also 20 minutes from Herrington Manor State Park (MD) were there is a lake for swimming, fishing, and canoeing. Cathedral State Park (WV) a virgin Hemlock forest with 400 year old trees about 45 minutes away. Deep Creek Lake (MD) is 40 minutes away and offers motor boat rentals, Golf, Skiing and swimming. There is skiing, hiking, biking, tubing, rafting, kayaking and much more to explore within 40 minutes of our farm. The best white water rafting on the east coast is 20-40 minutes away.Farm products are available for purchase on-site. Campers can choose to to have a farm to table meal cooked for them as an extra at checkout. We prepare most of our food from scratch using local produce, meat and bulk organic dry goods. Welcome to our Island Farm!
We're located between Davis, Parsons, and Elkins.
Dolly Sods, Canaan, Audra State Park, the Tygart River, the Cheat River, Seneca Rocks, and Tygart Lake are all a simple and scenic trip away.
The land itself is 10 acres. The main camp area is on flat field and approximately 4 acres.
Here is the secret recipe to this camp site:
It will be all yours! We only offer a single primitive site per night. There are no neighbors (at least the human kind) visible from anywhere on the main field. Very minimal light pollution. The stars are clearly visible on a clear night.
There are also no utilities. This includes water, electricity, or available enclosed shelters. Verizon and AT&T have strong signals in the field.
There is a metal carport that has a concrete pad along with a Porta John for privacy. There are also some storage buildings on site.
There is a gas station (Sheetz in Belington, WV) within 5 miles of the farm site and a Dollar General within 3 miles. Beyond that, Elkins has plenty of store options if you need supplies.
Interstate 79 is 32 miles away.
We are in the process of developing the far corner of the main field into an active hops farm and are members of a WV Co-Hop.
Again: this site is secluded and your group will be the only people there during your stay.
We will provide detailed directions when you make your reservation.
The driveway is steep and could cause issues for two wheel drive vehicles in winter. If it's rained extensively there could also be some muddy areas which we ask that you try to avoid.

Tommy's place is gorgeous land! There are nice fields and woods. It felt entirely safe for women to camp alone. It was easy to find using the instructions and we didn't need 4wd. Would definitely go back!
Tommy is delightful and didn't make fun of me when I said I saw a big bear. It was really a cow in the neighbor's pasture, way off in the distance.

We are fortunate enough to start our camping adventures on Sunday nights. There have been only a couple of other guests here since we got here on Sunday. It is raining today, but very enjoyable. We got to cook breakfast over the campfire and we’ll just improvise this evening. This place is real getting back to nature. It’s good to just enjoy the quiet of nature. This is our second trip to this campground we rate it pretty high.

We enjoyed Site #4. On end, no one drove by us. On bank of rive.r. little path through over growth to the river. Campsites side by side. Luckily only one quiet person next door to us for one of the two nights.

Owner came first night with wood. Get what ya need then...like 4 big bundles for two nights. We ran out with just two. Enjoyed the moonrise and stars!!!!

Nice stop in the woods along river. We stayed in an RV Spot that had electric and fresh mountain water if you needed it. The Grounds are spread out well. Its more for tents and boondoockers. Would suggest to come with full fresh water tanks and empty gray and black before coming. The road to the campground is a bit narrow, curvy, but doable. Be prepared to move over at times to let a cars pass opposite direction. We had a 25ft Class C. All in all it was quiet at night. The river was low but I suspect some good fishing during stock time.

We absolutely loved this spot. Very secluded, which was exactly what we needed for a reset weekend. Only one other plot we are aware of this property, and it wasn’t in use (a small cabin on the other side of a tree line).
Nestled in the Appalachian foothills, the lush greenery and vibrant fall colors made this plot especially perfect.
We loved the meadow, and having such a large, secluded space to ourselves for the weekend. We will be back!
