Visit Vashon Island and relax on a private estate property. Camp overlooking Puget Sound, walk the trail down to the secluded beach and enjoy 1000 ft. of peaceful waterfront. Vashon boasts great coffee hangouts, bakeries, galleries, wineries, restaurants (May's Thai, Lunetta Pizza, The Ruby Brink, The Hardware Store Restaurant, Snapdragon and others).
Galleries, shops and restaurants in the town of Vashon and also in Burton. Vashon Center for the Arts, O-Space and the Chamber of Commerce have events that might be of interest.
Outdoor fires are by permission only. There are sometime burn bans for air quality and/or high fire danger. fires are allowed AT THE BEACH, below the high tide line, between October 1 and June 15, but there are various reasons they may not be allowed (air quality bans, windy conditions, etc.) Any fire you light must be put out COLD (no steam, no heat) with water and buried with sand before leaving them unattended. You are responsible for any damage or injuries caused by a fire you start, so please be careful!
Please note: It is very important that the number of people on site is accurate. Please contact Hipcamp to change the number of people - there currently is no way to do that on the site?! There is an additional charge per person above the base 2 person rate.
There is no outdoor music at any time. Quiet hours are 8 pm to 10 am.
There is no picnic table or any amenities, but you can fill up water at our barn if needed.
DO NOT USE THE WOODS AS A BATHROOM. It is necessary to bring your own latrine.
The water at (shallower) Dockton Park (about a 6 min drive away) gets warm from swimming in summer if you prefer it to 54 degree deep water here!
Please clean up after your pet. Dogs must be leashed AT ALL TIMES in the field. If no one is around at the beach, they can be off leash, but leash up if anyone approaches until they pass. Please never leave your dog unattended outside where barking will disturb the peace.

This was one of the best places we have stayed (25 ft Motor-home) with a gorgeous view, super quiet and a fairly empty beach to walk down to where the dog could run free. Will be back since this is a great place to play and Vashon is fun to walk around and get some goodies. On the way , Point Defiance is a great park to check out too.

This was a great camping spot! The property is very large so it feels very private. I was able to camp right next to the bluff and felt the sea breeze all evening long. The view of Mount Rainier is incredible - you don't get views like that of her In Seattle! The walk down to the private beach was lovely and they had really nice benches and tables to sit at, Including umbrellas for shade. Highly recommend this site!

We had a wonderful time camping on this property. It’s expansive and peaceful. We played frisbee in the grass and it was wonderful having so much space for my children to explore. Beautiful walk down to the water. Great beach with exquisite rocks. Water had about 25 ft visibility. Morning sun and afternoon shade at the campsite. Nice and level for the tent. Lisa is wonderful and even helped us find the best fireworks show! She also let my two daughters meet her horse and pony. I highly recommend.

Our group had a great time! The host was super friendly and attentive. The site was a good size with a very clean portapotty. We loved having the string lights and gazebo. It was also nice having two types of firepits. Keep in mind it's in a neighborhood, but the drive to Lake Cushman was worth it!

5 of us and one dog really enjoyed this spot! Another room for all the activities. Plenty of fireplace spots. Thank God for the canopy because it rained allllllll weekend. So we had our propane fire, the chairs and just hung out. The guys went diving at lake Cushman! Porta potty was pretty clean. Only thing was you do have houses on both sides of you and golfers drive by but it wasn’t bad. We really enjoyed this spot! Also, the pulling in was nice for the camper but we weren’t sure if how to get out besides backing out up the small hill so make sure you’re good at doing that ha!!

Beautiful spot for sure. Host is really responsive and nice. It’s quite far from other site, but were that one to have a large group sound could be an issue as it’s a big open field. Overhead plane noise at night from SeaTac reminds you you’re not quite out in the wild.
