Beach camping near Pullman with climbing guide

Overview

Set near the Washington/Idaho border, Pullman is one of the state’s hidden gems. This is the Palouse region, home to rolling hills and lush grasslands. In one day, you can go wine tasting, whitewater rafting, and singletrack biking. Thanks to the many local RV parks and campgrounds, there are camping options for everyone. Between Pullman and Moscow, you’ll find many RV sites with Wi-Fi and picnic tables. The city-run Pullman RV Park offers full hookups—reserve online to get a good spot. Camp year-round in the Snake River canyon at Wawawai County Park. Here, you can boat on the reservoir or hike through the hills. To the north, Kamiak Butte County Park has camping from April to October. The playground and forested hiking trails are popular with families. For boating, it’s hard to beat Boyer Park & Marina near Colfax. Sleep in the RV and tent camping areas; then, spend the day on the Snake River. At Hells Gate State Park, camp among basaltic columns. While you’re there, try a jet boat ride or learn about the Nez Perce people.
