Plenty of hiking is available at LBL, just 8 miles away. I can provide intel on good fishing and backcountry spots. There is fantastic antiquing and thrifting in Cadiz and Murray, and I can introduce you to the Amish market for the most affordable groceries you've ever bought in your life.
Sometimes I cook for people especially if it's a group. It'll usually be vegan chili con carne and skillet cornbread, Korean chajangmen, or some tasty variety of Asian seasoned vegetable soup with homemade bread. I am 90% ovo-lacto vegetarian except in cases of hunting guests offering their own catfish, bass, venison, boar or turkey, in which case I fire up the bbq and get busy, because hunters are essential for environmental preservation. The fire ring is available for traditional cast iron cooking.
Dogs under 50 lbs are welcome if they're trained, you clean up after them, keep them leashed around guests and kenneled at night. I have 2 small dogs and I can kennel them on request.

Weekend Trip to Nine Pines Retreats
We loved our stay at Nine Pine's Retreat! This would be a great place to invite a group of friends/couples to tag along for a weekend getaway! We stayed on a very cold night, and the tent stayed pretty warm. Our favorite part was the hot tub; it was a dreamy atmosphere tucked in the woods with string lights overhead. We grilled our dinner, ate in the tent and enjoyed the campfire. My husband and I stayed one night and truly enjoyed this nice getaway!

Great time camping at this site. The hosts were absolutely great. It was clean and included a lot of extras like firewood, corn hole, skewers for hotdogs and more. I would highly recommend it.

Tho cozy cabin was cozy! The place is lovely and peaceful. I enjoyed the fire pit and the millions of stars! I will be back when I can spend a few days.

We absolutely loved our time at Cassie’s special pavilion! It was perfect for us as we have family in the area. BUT, even if we were just passing through…it was an awesome spot with everything we needed! It was peaceful, and semi private. We loved sitting outside in the morning drinking our coffee and enjoying the quiet time.
It’s close to many handy things as well. CVS, a grocery store, dollar store, Macdonald’s were all very close. I found a laundromat in town that was very clean and reasonably priced also.
Cassie and Brian were great hosts and very responsive. Will definitely stay again when we are in the area.

This spot has lots of trees, a covered patio with a fan, lights, and a really nice fire pit with tons of wood and kindling. It’s a flat concrete pad with full hook ups. Cassie is quick to respond. We felt safe here.

Beautiful, country setting close to restaurants & groceries. Loved the heated pool and bathroom! It also has a full size refrigerator, a grill and small microwave. Shauna and her husband were very pleasant to work with and had lots of fun stories to share. We can't wait to camp here again.

Wonderful Hosts and Peaceful Stay at Covered Bridge Pavilion”
We had an amazing stay at the Covered Bridge Pavilion. The site had everything we needed with full hookups, a covered pavilion for relaxing and dining, and a fire ring stocked with wood for perfect nights by the fire. What really made it special was Brian and Cassie. They were wonderful hosts who came over to visit with us and made us feel right at home. The property itself is quiet and beautiful with trails to explore, and it is also close to Wilson Park, disc golf, and the farmers market. For RV travelers who enjoy peaceful surroundings and great hospitality, this spot is a gem. We will definitely be back!

1 night at Nine Pines Retreats
This “stay” was the best of both worlds for our family. My wife and daughter got to enjoy tent camping with all of the luxuries of home —air conditioning, warm shower and bath, refrigerator! I got to enjoy being outdoors and away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and the beautiful stars and campfires at night. We will be back.

A total gem! Shuana and Ralph greeted us upon check-in and were wonderful hosts. The property was peaceful and very well-maintained. We enjoyed watching the Kiger horses and relaxing in the pool in between hikes. We felt right at home and will be back, when we travel to western KY.

I camped here with my husband and two young daughters. The hosts were wonderful and very helpful. They were quick to give us a tour of the area and the specifics of the amenities offered. They periodically checked in with us during our stay to see how it was going or if we needed anything. Great people.
There were canoes and two fishing poles, with lures, to use in both of their fish-filled ponds. They graciously offered us use of their fridge/freezer and some refreshments and popsicles inside.
The salt water pool was everything you could want. A large 3 ft area for standing along with a deeper end for the slide and spring board. They offered several pool toys and life jackets. We were in the pool nonstop.
The bathroom was clean and stocked with travel size soaps, shampoos, conditioners, and make up wipes. The pavilion kitchen was large with a microwave, toaster oven, and table top propane BBQ grill.
The RV parking spot was well maintained gravel with a 50 amp hookup. Water connection if needed.
We made such wonderful memories here. Waking up to the beautiful scenery and grazing horses was an absolute dream. The girls had an amazing time swimming, fishing, looking at the horses and running around the well maintained property. We will be back!

I had an amazing stay at this Hipcamp! It’s a peaceful and quiet spot, perfect for relaxing and close to stores etc. The pavilion is a lovely feature, providing a great space to unwind. Brian and Cassie are truly exceptional hosts—they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even surprising us with thoughtful Christmas gifts! I highly recommend this place and would love to return in the future.

Where to go
Seward Park
If you're in Seattle, sprawling Seward Park is among the best places to enjoy Lake Washington. This 300-acre expanse (120 acres of which is old-growth forest) features walking trails, picnic areas, a playground, tennis courts, seasonal beaches, and a fishing pier.
Mercer Island
Situated between Bellevue and Seattle, Mercer Island is the only island in Lake Washington. Unsurprisingly, there are plenty of spots to access the lake dotted across the island, from Clarke Beach Park in the south to spacious Luther Burbank Park in the north.
Kirkland
On the eastern banks of Lake Washington, Kirkland and its surrounding towns offer easy access to the lake to residents and visitors alike, with numerous waterfront parks available for public use. This area also offers some of the best fishing opportunities on the lake, with public piers at Juanita Beach Park, Waverly Beach Park, Houghton beach Park, Marsh Park, David E Brink Park, and Settlers Landing. Expect to find RV parks and private campgrounds in the area.
Saint Edward State Park
Spread out over 326 acres on the northeastern shores of Lake Washington, this state park offers picnic areas, playgrounds, and plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and equestrian trails. With around 3,000 feet of shoreline, the park is a great spot for accessing the lake—fishing and kayaking are particularly popular activities here.
