Remote off-grid mountain cottage that sits on atop a ridge on 5 acres.  If your looking for solitude, peace and quiet, look no further.  The Kings Cottage is located in Hoodsport, WA above the beautiful Lake Cushman and Lake Kokanee.  Our special place on the mountain is a few minutes drive to downtown where you can enjoy the local fare and steps away from the Olympic National Park and beautiful Mount Elinor and access to private parks on the lake.  You can, hike, go swimming, fishing, play golf frisbee.. so many activities here in Hoodsport, WA.

Two years ago I bought this property, cleaned it up and changed an old local 1930s grocery store into my pottery studio. I continue to try to be a good steward to this little piece of land with very big trees. One side faces my studio with drive through access to a bunkhouse and hookups and the other is tent camping with room to explore. With a dog yard available you will be able to relax and enjoy.Learn more about this land:Part meadow part stand of very tall trees, over 70 years old with birds, hummingbirds, deer.  Choose to camp there or in a wheelchair excessable drive next to a 1940 era grocery store that is now my pottery studio. A large bunkhouse is also on site in case of rain, if not rented. Large RVs will park in the front of the property. Tent camping is in the meadow with water and fire circle.  /p&gt;

Welcome to Aliya Preserve.  Originally owned by the developers of Kalaloch Lodge, this was slated to be an expansion site for the lodge. That development would have drastically changed the land.

Making it available for campers allows us to both share the beauty and keep it pristine.

From your mossy bank perched above the panoramic Pacific, beneath burley spruce tree boughs, magic sunsets unfold at your own super-private and secluded campsite with fire-pit.

Adjacent to Olympic National Park, this is the same beach and bluff that defines Kalaloch, LaPush and and other wild Washington coastal icons.

As the stewards of this land, we are now inviting respectful and responsible small groups and families to share its beauty.

Please make sure to check the site *title* for number of campers allowed in each site.  For example only two people are allowed in sites 1 & 4.

'Hipcamp Site #1' is nestled on the Northernmost section of the property on a bluff above the beachfront.

Paine's Serenity

My property has recorded history from the first non-native settlers to the area. There are large old growth tree stumps on the property which show the scale of trees that used to be here. I bought the property about 7 years ago and have been slowing developing it into a home and a place for others to come and enjoy as well. I have been doing a large portion of the work by hand and on my own with the help of friends. It is a great story that has many chapters left before it ends. Hoh River Campsites

When the opportunity presented itself in late 2018, Dan and Maggie teamed up with Chuck and Susie Velie to purchase 130 acres along the Hoh River. They all had a common goal of providing an intimate outdoor experience for those looking to disconnect themselves from the everyday life and reconnect with nature by offering an incredible outdoor experience. Chuck Velie, (son of Gary and Beth Velie) is the great-great grandson of John Huelsdonk, more commonly known as the Iron Man of the Hoh. This property has been in the family for many many generations. It is our goal to preserve the heritage of this property while drawing tourism and helping local businesses attract customers. We believe that this is an investment in our community that rewards us today and leaves an invaluable resource for future generations.

Campsite 3 provides a large enough spot for groups, rv's, travel trailers, and tents. Has a designated fire pit. These campers used the entire site for their tent, brought their corn hole game, and had a great time!
