The property is right outside of Abilene. About 15 minutes, Southwest. it is 10 minutes from the Abilene state park where you can visit Lake abilene and hit up many of the mountain trails.

The primitive site has been a failed development project on Lake Stamford.  We purchased the 350 acres not to develop into house sites, but to develop into a recreation area where people can enjoy the outdoors mountain biking, hiking, paddling, horseback riding and camping.  Learn more about this land:This is a 350 acre pasture with 2.5 miles of Lake Stamford shore line. The lake is accessible by hiking on the property down to the lake or driving about three miles to the Stamford Marina which has a boat ramp and parking. No access via vehicle to the lake on the property where camping. Hike down to the lake is a trail a little over 1/2 mile.

Learn more about this land:40    50' X 50' sites.  A pecan tree on each corner of the site.  View of Quail Ridge and Skin Out Mountian.  Mesquite woods and open fields surround the campsites.Quiet area off Farm to Market road away from highways. Starry West Texas Sky (bring your telescope)  surrounded by mesquite woods and fields.   The only neighbors are cows and coyotes, maybe a few jackrabbits.  

25 ft travel trailer. Come into field on angle and you'll be fine. 

Fire ring available, just let me know ahead of time.  Free wood, but you haul it from the stack along the drive.  

A Starry Night

A peaceful pause for retreat or safe sleep.  10 min’s to lakes, fishing, trails,  Abilene and Clyde area’s to play and explore.  The land has a beautiful view and wildlife galore.  Bring you or a partner the space is quiet and flat.  Easy for animals to share as well.  Passing thru or a pause will do, enjoy your good nights sleep.

We have lots of wildlife: deer, hogs, possums, skunks, and armadillos.

We have terrain to hike. Lots of trees and some cactus. West Texas fun. 

A large lake is nearby for fishing or skiing. 

We also have a golf course nearby. We are located across the street from Dollar General in HAWLEY and have two gas stations on the corners to the west of us.
